Seated by the waiter and then ignored. Sat there for about 15 minutes and left. Terrible experience. Put a damper on our one night visit to Sacramento.
My only disappointment was that cassoulet, although on the menu, was not available. Nor were any of its ingredients. Our server informed us that it was phased out, but the menu hadn’t been updated. Please keep the info up to date and avoid this disappointment. Otherwise, an outstanding experience. Great service, lovely food, terrific cocktail menu, wonderful ambiance.
Always a first-rate meal with excellent service
Great French wine by the glass recommended by our waiter. The butter lettuce salad was a B-. The mussels were the best part of the meal. The NY strip steak - was tough and unflavorful - C-. No classic French sauces were featured on anything I could see. That was the big miss. Outside on the patio was unmatchable. Very clean. Great waiter. Ambience perfection.
One of the best restaurants in Sacramento...
Enjoyed our dinner....one of our favorite Sacramento restaurants. Started with gravalax appetizer which is terrific and we both had salmon which was perfect. Martinis could have been a bit dryer. Have been here many times and will definitely be back! Highly recommend...
Can’t believe we haven’t eaten here before. Great food and drinks
Everything was awesome. I thought a little pricy for me, but I expected that. overall a great experience
Great food and excellent service! We will definitely come back.
The food was delicious. They even made a beef tartare for my husband that was not on the menu. The service was good. Eating outdoor at night can be very chilly but they had plenty of heathers. I will go again.
Enjoyed the dinner, service was great! Was a bit chilly outside but warmed up after a couple of martinis. Definitely will be back.
We've been to Brassiere several times and always loved it, however, not as much this time. Although there were space heaters, we were absolutely freezing. If they are going to offer outdoor dining in whatever conditions, they should make sure the temperature is adequate. It was very windy, which made it probably feel that it was cooler than it was, but never the less, not pleasant. Another table became available and we moved and it was much warmer, but by then, more than half the evening was over. We will go there again, but once the pandemic is over and indoor dining is once again possible. Oh, and as always, the food and service were great.
Egg noodle pasta with pork was very dry. It was our anniversary and included in our request but there was no acknowledgement. Meat tray was good.
Everything was just ok. Staff was nice but they brought our entrees out 8 minutes apart. The pasta was ok. The steak frites was mixed, well seasoned steak and fries, and cook on steak was good but fat wasn’t rendered. Won’t be going back.
Food and service were fine. Location is decent but overpriced for the quality of the food.
Great experience as always!
We had a reservation but could not be seated due to weather. Or so we where told. Plenty of other tables had guests at them and they where walk ups???? Pretty brutal to watch someone get seated to then be told my table was in the rain.
The outdoor dining arrangement here is bad; they only had one heater working and it was by a occupied table. The waitress who greeted us was in no hurry to guide us to a table or assist us so we left. I won’t return.
Enjoyed our very polite server. She was very helpful. Food was delicious and serving size was more than adequate. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and look forward to a return.
Awesome date night! Thank you Brasserie Capitale for accommodating us noting how cold we get, the fire tornado was perfect :)
I made a reservation for 4 a week ahead. The day of we had an extra guest and called ahead to modify reservation. The staff member was not accommodating and said we had to sit at the Cafe. She said it was the exact same experience but when we got there it was separated from everything, there was no heater, the staff treated us rudely, sat us at a table for 4 and added an extra chair but said they could not do the same at the main sitting patio we originally made a reservation for. They preferred to let the table for 4 go unbooked and empty just to sit us away from main patio. We ordered steaks and they gave us spoiled steaks that tasted nasty and made us all very sick.
No one to greet us. We’re there for a birthday dinner and had spoken with them about it. They promised to really sit up and take notice. We were seated close to the sidewalk in an unprotected area and had to keep asking for a heater. We felt completely forgotten about. Finally were given something like an open flame blow torch to keep warm but it was extremely loud. I have hearing aids and could barely hear my companions. Ordered a selection of nice small plates and the food was good but I won’t be back. Frighteningly overpriced for sitting in the wind on the sidewalk trying to get a waiter’s attention. Oh yes..they lit our table candle when we were done with dinner (we got there well after sundown).
The Steak Frites are fantastic; the fries are perfect, the steak is perfect (get medium rare), and the sauce was great. Cocktails are terrible. Get wine.
We were thrilled to find a restaurant which was new to us and open. We actually drove all the way from Chico, CA, to Sacramento just to have dinner in a different setting (bored of COVID...Feb 2021).
Food is super solid and French, although the menu on Open Table has been revised and is missing a few things I was looking forward to. But hey, they’re open! They offer Czar Nikolai caviar which is actually locally raised - we typically order it online at home - and an authentic (French) Onion Soup.
Our wine choices were not available -both French varieties - but they once again knocked it out of the park with a 2016 Rusack Pinot Noir from Santa Catalina Island! We were floored. Many California Pinots are missing the mineral flavoring of the French wines and are often too fruity. Not this one!
The people were all fantastic, the setting was lovely, and the weather was perfect. All in all, these guys really stepped up to serve their patrons. Really a nice find.
Love the food, sitting outside with minimal heaters was a little problematic but it is COVID.
They never disappoint! My girlfriend and I enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner. Food was exceptional and so was the service. Fast becoming my favorite restaurant!!
THEY LIE ABOUT THEIR HOURS AND KEEP AND RESERVATION LIST WHEN THEY ARE NOT OPEN. THIS IN TURN AND RUINED MY VDAY 2021.
The food was seasoned to perfection and amazingly delicious. The staff was respectful, helpful and friendly. Will definitely visit again.
Menu was limited and over priced. Outside dining with no heater. Confusion in order by waitstaff.
However the food was good. Willing to try again.
We went for Valentines Day (early) dinner and Lucas was amazing. His knowledge of cocktails along with his service means we would go there again and again. The food was exquisite and it was a very good experience
Great place and atmosphere.
Wonderful covid experience. Waiter was above and beyond.
While the food was delicious, we were a bit disappointed (though we understand) by the stripped down selections. We will be back to experience full menu
