Had a great meal here the other night, with my husband and son home from college. We all ordered steak and were impressed with how good they all were. All cooked to perfection, great cuts and amazing sauces. We think Brasserie 292 can match up to our favorite steak house, maybe even better due to the sauce options. We can't wait to go again!!

Our food and the staff were fantastic. I had the Acorn Squash entree and loved every bite. The Kobe burger and Butcher steak were equally enjoyed by my companions.

Fabulous restaurant! Absolutely at the top of our favorites list. Had a great evening for Valentines day. Food and service could not have been better. Michael, the maitre de, was attentive, approachable and caring. You're likely to get good service from anyone, but if you want the best ask for Angel.

Food, service and ambience were great! It was our first time there. The only disappointment was we were seated at a table with two uncomfortable chairs. They are fairly small and not well suited for a full dinner. Better suited for a cup of coffee or drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
There are tables with booth seating on one side and chair on the other and some full booths. I highly recommend insisting on a full booth for dining.

Anthony was our server and he was great. Very attentive. We ordered several apps (oysters, lobster bisque , escargot, and all were good, except grilled octopus which was too charred and over cooked. We’ve eaten here several times. Always a treat

Brunch was really good. nice, spicy bloody Mary's. I had the steak sandwich special. very tasty, only I think they should cut the steak up so you don't get the whole piece of meat in one bite. Shrimp and oysters for $ 1.50 each was a nice treat!

My friends raved about the special appetizer salad, the trout and pork. We all enjoyed the bottles of wine we ordered very much, although it was a bit higher priced than we would usually get. I was hoping for spectacular mussels, and they were good but could have been More flavorful. The quality of everything was very high. I’ll be back soon, but will order differently.

The menu is creative and impressive. The tuna tartare was strange and not good. It was served with potato chips which was also strange and not good. However, coq au vin had very good flavor but too many potatos. Service was excellent.

We had an early reservation (my dad has a hearing problem and likes his restaurants quiet). Of course, my brother was stuck in traffic, making us an hour late. When i called, they managed to fit us in an hour later. Starting with the bread on the table, the salads (we got the special), the dinners (scallops, trout, steak and duck breast) were all beautifully presented, delicious and a little pricey, but worth it. The waiter was excellent, we had plenty to drink and the wine was wonderful as well.

We had an outstanding dinner. The service was particularly outstanding. Sometimes you forget what it's like to have really good service. The food was amazing. We had the sushi tuna appetizer (I wanted another one), a scallop special that was magnificent. This restaurant is definitely worth going out of your way for.

It was a quiet Sunday night but the food got the attention it needed in the kitchen. Four of us each had different dishes and we were all satisfied. My duck was cooked exactly as I'd requested, the short ribs were rich and delicious. They seem to be in transition with the wine list since they were out of some and had others in the back room and not on the list. Still the bartender was either knowledgeable about the wine or told me he didn't know. I can work with that!

Hilariously slow cocktail service. There were 2 guys at the bar, eating, at least 3 waiters and a bartender, and perhaps 3 banquettes of people who already had their drinks. It took 40 minutes to take our drink order & deliver a Negroni, a Martini and a glass of gin on the rocks. It was a Sunday night at 6 PM. Very poor. Don't order a thing before you get your cocktails, or your food will be cold before they arrive!

1st time to 292. Post Marist event. Went with standard Bistro choices; Onion Soup, Steak Au Poivre, Creme Brûlée. Food fantastic! Service by Anthony was perfect. Been to Bistro’s in Paris and found one of the best in Poughkeepsie!

I've been several times to the Brasserie, and while it isn't cheap, the food is usually quite good, as are the cocktails. And Saturday's waiter was excellent, the best I've had there.

We went at an off time so it was fairly quiet. The food was delicious and the server took great care of us and either knew the answer to every question about the food preparation or promptly found the answer. I will be returning often.

We went to Brasserie 292 for Restaurant Week, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The wine was good, (try Malbec Purple), and the food was delicious - Succulent Lamb Shank that fell off of the bone, savory Celeriac Soup, and a very generous portion of creamy foie gras. We'll be back soon.

We went to B 292 during restaurant week, but we had been there previously. The food was excellent and we loved the ambiance. The food were full portions which is not always the case during restaurant week. I would recommend this restaurant however parking can be a challenge but in my estimation it is worth it!

We've had dinner here several times in the past and both the food and service was excellent. This time though the food was as good as ever, however, our waiter was less attentive and lacking in personality compared to previous visits.

We'll continue you stop by but if service level continues as recently experienced we may wish to consider other dining options.
