The service was outstanding, it was lovely , Jeremy our waiter was wonderful
I have always enjoyed Brasserie 19, but this time my lunch was disappointing. I ordered the Caesar salad with added piece of salmon. Salmon was beautiful but Caesar was probably the most boring I have ever had. It almost appeared to be a bowl of lettuce leaves and that’s it. Also the yummy bread rolls have been swapped out with something a lot more ordinary and nowhere near as good. Even the menu seemed limited ( lunch and dinner menu the same thing- who needs a heavy steak for lunch). But the place was buzzing and crowded so maybe it’s just me.
Great food and location.
Adrian took great care of us. Great food. Nice environment!!
Wonderful food and service. Charcuterie board was fantastic and the ribeye was tender
Excellent food and service!
Saturday brunch was perfect. Perfect weather and a great table. We thought it would be crowded so we got there early (11:15). Had reservations but there wasn’t a wait. I have been to Brassiere before and the inside feels a little tight but outside is more more relaxed. The eggs Benedict had perfectly poached eggs. The cocktails were on point. Good mimosas too. The escargot was THE BEST. Headed back again this weekend!
giving four stars for food because my Benedict had egg shell. Over sight from the kitchen, most unfortunate. Didn't make an issue as we were celebrating a friends eighty year birthday.
The entire experience was exceptional especially considering we had one of the last seatings at 10 PM. It was an impromptu get together made special by the ambiance, staff, and delicious meal at Brassiere 19.
It was great and thanks for the table change. Cant wait to come back.
Brasserie 19 is consistently great!! Great food and great service!
Lucio is awesome
Exciting and fun evening to celebrate a birthday. Great wine list and raw bar. The lamb special was satisfactory but not outstanding. Roasted cauliflower was undercooked.
Noise level ebbed as evening wore on and restaurant emptied.
Brasserie 19 is the greatest.
The Staff is wonderful.
The food is simple but very good.
The service is exceptional.
And one always sees friends there.
We celebrated our 4 year anniversary here! The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. They even surprised us with an anniversary surprise!
Very. Very Busy but I love it for Brunch when I come to Houston
We were there celebrating a friends birthday and had a wonderful time. The food, wine, and service were amazing and we will definitely be going back!
Wonderful atmosphere, great service and appetizers.
We have been several times and have always enjoyed it, this time was different. It was a Sunday evening and not crowded. We were seated promptly inside. We sat there for almost 15 minutes before I got up and asked if we would be attended to. When the waiter, Jeffrey, finally arrived he seemed rather petulant that I had complained. He had literally walked by out table 5 times without acknowledging us at all! From there, his attitude did not change. When my daughter was trying to decide what to order, he kept breathing heavily like he was annoyed she was asking questions to make a decision. Another irritation was there was someone obviously involved with the restaurant in some capacity sitting down from us towards the back of the restaurant. Staff members and friends would her and yet, 2 of these "gentleman" we then sitting at the bar talking loudly about getting laid and other inappropriate statements that my daughter could hear.
Octopus appetizer was amazing, so was the bone marrow. The main courses were just ok. My husband ordered the Dover Sole and the portion given was TINY!
I doubt we will return for quite a while. We heard after that many of the waitstaff left. Jeffrey should not have been working that night because he was grumpy. The entire experience let me down.
We had a fabulous time! We were greeted by CJ with a warm welcome, she gave us a fantastic table outside with plenty of shade for our our pup. Our server Jesus did an amazing job! Super attentive and cordial. Our food was so delicious! Best oyster selection in town. We really enjoyed our brunch!
Brasserie 19 is one of our favorite restaurants! We ordered the chilled seafood platter as an appetizer and it was amazing. Of our table of 4, 3 ordered the chicken which was moist and had a lot of flavor, my son ordered the fillet a d he said it was wonderful. The cocktails, food and service were al spectacular!
Awesome! Always a great experience and the food is always delicious.
Always a good experience
Always love coming here on a nice afternoon and sit on the patio. Food is consistently good and service is outstanding.
Excellent restaurant for business and birthday meals. Highly recommend.
It felt like people were there for reasons other than the food.
As usual, Open Table program is a total PITA. Third time I've tried to write this review.
I chose this restaurant because these were the former owners of Ibiza. I came to Houston frequently on business pre-Covid and Ibiza was one of my go-to places. The new restaurant Brasserie 19 did not disappoint.
I ordered the French onion soup $11 and beef bourguignon $39. Both were exquisite. The mini-baguette (~5") was appreciated. I enjoy bread, but when I am served enough for four when I am only one is dismaying. Food wastage is bothersome, so normally I either don't get bread, or have a lot of wastage.
My reservation was at 7 and I was promptly seated. About 20 minutesor so later the lights were dimmed. Then they were dimmed again. I do NOT like eating in the dark. In future, I will arrive early enough to finish my meal in the light.
They were also able to honor my request to be far away from other diners, but remain in the restaurant. They did have patio seating, but I do not like eating outdoors. I was seated about 12 feet away from other diners. As a business traveler, I want to maintain distancing as much as possible.
One of our favorite restaurants. We love to either 1) sit at the bar; 2) sit by the windows or 3) weather permitting, sit outside. The service is always top notch as is the food.
I had the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu and it was delicious! The service was very poor. It look very long to get my order, my appetizer arrived after my main course and I had to send several reminders. My drink also arrived later after two reminders. I was with my baby and a man was smoking a cigar in the next table. He was asked by the staff to put it out and he would not until I asked him myself. Not one of my best experiences at Brasserie 19 and I have been a regular for 10 years.
The menu has changed very little over the years, a definite minus.
Food was great as always. Wine price:value was great. Service was very rushed. Why d oes a restaurant accept a reservation and then immediately start telling the diner that they need to order and all the courses will come at once because the kitchen is closing in 15 minutes? Why not just make the reservation cutoff time earlier? Now I feel unwelcome. We are relatively regular here, it's convenient, food is good, value is good and usually are happy customers but this is a peeve of mine. Please either a) tell us not to come or b) make us feel welcome when we're there.
Everything was PERFECT !!!
Nice place, excellent service, good food
Brasserie 19 is too loud. The food is good. I had the trout almandine and it was really good. The deviled eggs are the best in Houston. The beef bourgeon was okay. The service was so so.
It’s always a FUN time at B19. Haven’t been here in years, but it is like it hadn’t missed a beat. We even ran into some friends while we were there with other friends. So much fun!
The service was really slow. It wouldn't have been so noticeable, but the weather on the patio was so hot. Took a long time to get someone to take our order and get the check.
Very nice environment. Noise level not bad. Some noise, but not intruding so easy to maintain conversation.
Jeremy was our waiter -- excellent waiter. Told him the pacing we wanted on our service, and he executed the request perfectly.
Had the trout almondine and a frisee salad. Both outstanding dishes.
Terrible terrible waiter
we had to ask the manager to change the waiter
We had a great brunch experience! The food and service was great!
Excellent food and wine list
