Brasserie 19 Ratings and Reviews
Very average meal and inattentive service. The mahi special entree seemed uninspired and lacked any appealing presentation I’d typically expect from an upscale restaurant. The decor is dated and the restaurant could use a modern update while keeping the European vibe. The least appealing thing is the tablet they give you to look at the cocktail list. It seemed like something you’d get at a chain restaurant. The Part and Parcel cocktail was good though. The tiny baguette was certainly smaller than anything I’d seen in France.
Overall not very impressed with the quality or value. The pear cobbler lacked flavor.
I was so looking forward to going for our Friend Christmas Luncheon. But sadly our waiter changed that feeling. We were definitely treated ambivalently. There was no enthusiasm, professionalism, and care taken in his job. We watched the other waiters and wondered how we were lucky enough to get the slowest person on the staff who obviously didn't care about our pleasure during our visit. His clothing and appearance confirmed our displeasure in our service. Our food was good but the wine list is the STAR here at this restaurant.
The day after Thanksgiving, I took my family for what was supposed to be a post holiday treat and was disappointed by this dining experience on every level. We where given a table right next to the waiters work station and next to a high traffic hallway even though there were other large tables available (we were a party of 5). My mother’s chair was being bumped into throughout the meal. The appetizers were Mediocre and very expensive considering how unimpressive they were and the entrees were ice cold when they came out and some were barely etable. The service was rushed (despite the cold food!) and we got the sense that they just wanted us out as quickly as possible. A very unpleasant evening.
The ambiance and staff were good. The food was delicious. I would suggest to those have not had French cuisine is to be prepared to have something unsusal and be adventurous. However, they do have options of other comfort food that people will be familiar with. Do ask your server if you are uncertain about the menu. Overall, 3.9 out of 5.
Our second time here. This was a festive Halloween evening and the costumes of the staff as well as the patrons were really cool. We dined early--5:00 before the opera, and had a great time. Two or three of us had the Trout Amandine--great. The fourth person had lamb chops which he loved. We had no time for dessert. We had a nice Russian River Pinor Noir I beleve which was very good.
My guest and I had the Trout Almondine with a bottle of Veuve. Perfection as always. I love this place, I have never been disappointed, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The space is bright, airy and welcoming. I have sat at the bar on several occasions, always a treat chatting to the friendly barkeeps! Highly recommend this restaurant
We went here for my Girlfriends 42nd birthday. The ambiance was quite entertaining, but not what we were looking for a date night. If you are an over 50 rich white guy, this is obviously the place to source yourself some younger females. And if you are young single female looking for rich white guys, this is your place, ladies! My girlfriend and I already planned out the occasion that if we break up in 15 years, I’ll definitely be back here for a hook up adventure although I do hope I won’t run into her on the same night! :)
I went here for my birthday and had a wonderful time. The place was cute and the food was EXCELLENT! My only complaint it that the tables are too crowded on the floor. There is barely room for you to sit and I was constantly have to scoot up and being bumped into the whole time, which made me feel silly. Otherwise it is a great spot!!!!
