Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Disappointed with service as we had to continually ask for the meats to be brought to our table. There were some we never had a chance to try. Buffet was just ok. For the price, I expected more choices at the food bar. I paid $40 for salad! May not be returning...
We have eaten here several times. The food did not seem as good. Many of the meats were very dry (chicken and pork). We had to ask to have the beef brought to us. The cold bar did not have a lot of variety as compared to the past. Overall, a lot of money for mediocre food.
This is my second time to this restaurant in the past 12 months and this particular visit was disappointing. The service was poor, it seemed as if the staff was poorly trained. They struggled to cut the meat at the table, dull knives and the staff did not seem to know how to make a proper cut. The meet was at best only warm and in one case was refrigerator cold. When we raised this issue to the wait staff we were brought a different cut of meat that was then served on top of the piece that we complained about. The servers were gone for extended periods of time and the overall quality of the food was low. Again, my sense was that the staff was poorly trained and poorly managed. I will not return, there are too many other well managed restaurants in the area.
This was a first time visit. What an experience! I was at wow! Before I even entered inside. Once inside, the ambiance was fantastic. Great music and friendly staff. The experience was more than I imagined it would be. I've already told others about my wonderful experience and how the food was absolutely delicious! I will be return soon! Thanks for a wonderful dining experience.
I have eaten at Brazilian steakhouses all over the US and this one had the best ambiance. I also loved that the "gauchos" were assigned by table. I've never seen that before, but it ensured that we got to taste everything, and got more of exactly what we wanted.
It was good, but I was used to the atmosphere of the one in charlotte where it’s a destination restaurant & people make an event of it. There were a lot of people dressed in t shirt & jeans loading up plates like there was no tomorrow. I guess we were looking for it to be more relaxed & higher endish comparable to the one in charlotte.
We always come for the brunch hour and we haven't been disappointed once. Atmosphere, food and service was as usual very good. It's four of us, my mother, brother, sister and of course myself. We all live in different cities except my brother and mother.
We have a blast! Keep up the good work and we'll keep coming!
I go to Brasa at least twice a month. This is the first timr I went and the meats were mediocre, the mashed potatoes were thick as I don't know what. The meats normally have an amazing flavor. I barely tasted flavor on the meats. My boyfriend stated that he doubts he will be back. I on the other hand am hoping that was only a one timr thing.
Excellent Brazilian restaurant. Enjoyed every part of it. The live music was great. It was a bit loud at times and interrupted our conversation. But it was easily looked past because of everything else being top quality. The food was amazing. So was the service and the ambience. Would go again.
The quality of food is very good. But the meat is offered in several minutes and the server is bringing constantly new meat. The meat is not cooked like ordered (medium rare for steak). Wish they take more patient between the different rounds to enjoy it. It was like a fast food restaurant.
This was not our first visit and usually we have a wonderful meal. The service was good, we had to ask for a new plate during the meal. We asked for medium rare to medium cooked meats and at first we received very rare filet and steak. They were able to provide more filet and steaks cooked closer to medium. Although some of the selections were too well done. The servers were very receptive to our changes. We don't live in the area but would return when we're back.
If you are a restaurant that specializes in one thing, and you charge a premium prices for that one thing, then you should do it exceptionally well! As a Brazilian Steakhouse, Brasa is all about the meat.
Brasa serves 13 different kinds of meat, all delivered tableside on large skewers. They have bacon wrapped fillet, ribeye, parmesan chicken, pork tenderloin, ribs etc. It all sounds wonderful, but the execution is definitely NOT! Everything was dry, overcooked and entirely unseasoned. After asking several times, we were able to get some things on the rare side, but even then they had no flavor. No sauces or condiments were offered with the meats and even those that had some flavorings (curried chicken legs) were still bland and overcooked.
Additionally, when you arrive they explain to you that each of you has a rock in front of your setting that can be turned to 'green' telling the servers you would like more meat, or 'red' if you'd like to take a break and enjoy what you have. In which case, they will come back in a little while. However, the servers ignore the rocks and inundate you with more and more foods so that you finally have to be rude and tell them to go away and please wait until the table has turned their rocks to 'green'. Instead of a slow leisurely dinner, we felt rushed.
They do offer a fairly large salad bar which looks beautiful, but was also not as tasty as it looked.
I did feel that the servers were eager to please, they just were maybe too eager.
All in all, for the price, I would definitely go somewhere else. This restaurant is all gimmick and no substance.
