Brando's was founded on the premise of great food made from quality ingredients, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere which we believe are the three elements of any enjoyable dining experience.
The chef/owner, Steven Botta, grew up in Brooklyn and learned many of recipes used at Brando's from his mother. Raised in this welcoming tradition, he believes when you enter Brando's, whether its your first time or your one hundredth time, you should always feel like they are dining with family.
Soulful Italian is the best way to describe our menu. Our culinary team has been trained at the finest culinary schools, and has over fifty years of combined experience. From our fresh pasta, to our line-caught fish, to our thirty-five day dry-aged steaks, the difference is discernible

Brando's Ratings and Reviews
Although AP has many culinary offerings, we find ourselves going to Brando's again and again for two reasons: the spectacular food and outstanding service. The wait staff is impeccable - this evening we had Theresa who knows how to make her customers feel special. She recalled us from other times we've dined with her, remembered our favorite wine and appetizer, and helped us pick out some extraordinary specials, making recommendations that were spot on, and later helped us pick out a delicious dessert. She was attentive but not obtrusive. The cuisine never disappoints. The angilotti appetizer is tender with a sauce that is the right blend of creaminess with a hint of sweetness. Veal chop with bolognaise sauce was decadent and generous enough for two meals. And the monkfish wrapped with prosciutto was one of the best meals my friend has ever had. The ambiance and atmosphere melds well with the cuisine - you almost feel like you're dining in Italy. If you have never tried this restaurant, don't hesitate - you will not be disappointed!
I have been to Brando's many times and always enjoy it. My family loves the fish and the scallops are (almost) always delicious (more later). I love the steaks as well as veal chop. Salads are good and a nice wine list. The Super Tuscan's although pricey are great. We did go one night a month or so ago and everyone who had the scallops said they were not good. It was very unusual and I believe a quality issue that night only. They were excellent when we went again and my wife gave it another try. So we will be back.
Our meals were average at best. The chicken scarpiello was most wings and bone. The larger pieces of meat were over done. The garlic Shrimp was flavorful but the shrimp was way overcooked. Its wasn't like the place was packed as we had a 6pm reservation and only a few tables were seated at that time. After many good meals we were completely disappointed.
Could only eat half of a burnt pizza...the server, later, gave one of us a complimentary slice of pumpkin pie but the pizza should have been taken off the bill or he should have given us the option to bring us another one. .....disappointed to say the least.
Our meal was great. From the shrimp and scallop appetizer to the pork chop over garlic potatoes to the brownie dessert with ice cream- excellent! A lovely touch was the happy birthday glitter on the table to the candle on the brownie for my husband. Thank you! Service was also excellent.
We have been to Brandos numerous times and its always a hit with whomever we bring along. My husbands favorite dish is the Pork Chop milanese with the bolognese sauce. I have tried numerous dishes and they have all been delicious. The beet salad with the whipped ricotta is a must and this time I had the stuffed veal chop which was stuffed with fresh figs and cheese and paired with a wine sauce, superb. The portions are large and can be shared, or enjoy a great lunch the next day.
Our first visit to Brando's and it knocked our socks off. From the attention given all customers through all servings having the plate at the right temp. Ample amounts. This is a classy place to bring someone to impress. Wine varieties are ample with pricing per glass or bottle a bit high.
Overall, not a dinner breaker...... One of the top 5 down the shore ! Too bad it's not a BYOB !
The atmosphere was very nice, had authentic Italian feel. Staff was accommodating, we made a reservation and were seated right away. I ordered the gnocchi and it was very good. My husband ordered one of the specials, a top sirloin, which ended up being $85 to our surprise. My husband liked the steak, but thought it wasn't good enough for the price. Also, they brought him the wrong side dish, and only brought the correct one out when we were already done eating. overall, decent food, but not worth the price.
