Brando's was founded on the premise of great food made from quality ingredients, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere which we believe are the three elements of any enjoyable dining experience.
The chef/owner, Steven Botta, grew up in Brooklyn and learned many of recipes used at Brando's from his mother. Raised in this welcoming tradition, he believes when you enter Brando's, whether its your first time or your one hundredth time, you should always feel like they are dining with family.
Soulful Italian is the best way to describe our menu. Our culinary team has been trained at the finest culinary schools, and has over fifty years of combined experience. From our fresh pasta, to our line-caught fish, to our thirty-five day dry-aged steaks, the difference is discernible

Brando's Ratings and Reviews
Our meal was great. From the shrimp and scallop appetizer to the pork chop over garlic potatoes to the brownie dessert with ice cream- excellent! A lovely touch was the happy birthday glitter on the table to the candle on the brownie for my husband. Thank you! Service was also excellent.
We have been to Brandos numerous times and its always a hit with whomever we bring along. My husbands favorite dish is the Pork Chop milanese with the bolognese sauce. I have tried numerous dishes and they have all been delicious. The beet salad with the whipped ricotta is a must and this time I had the stuffed veal chop which was stuffed with fresh figs and cheese and paired with a wine sauce, superb. The portions are large and can be shared, or enjoy a great lunch the next day.
Our first visit to Brando's and it knocked our socks off. From the attention given all customers through all servings having the plate at the right temp. Ample amounts. This is a classy place to bring someone to impress. Wine varieties are ample with pricing per glass or bottle a bit high.
Overall, not a dinner breaker...... One of the top 5 down the shore ! Too bad it's not a BYOB !
The atmosphere was very nice, had authentic Italian feel. Staff was accommodating, we made a reservation and were seated right away. I ordered the gnocchi and it was very good. My husband ordered one of the specials, a top sirloin, which ended up being $85 to our surprise. My husband liked the steak, but thought it wasn't good enough for the price. Also, they brought him the wrong side dish, and only brought the correct one out when we were already done eating. overall, decent food, but not worth the price.
We've been coming to Brandos often on the weekends when we are down the Shore. It was recommended by a very picky friend. I love the upbeat vibe and the food is different. I love Michael the waiter however the last 2 times I asked for him I received someone else. This weekend I was very disappointed. I wasn't able to get Michael again BC he had a larger table and although they gave us of nice waiter who we had before, service was off. I dont blame him I blame mgmt. He obviously was in the other room and so was over inundated so service was really slow and spotty. They should have mentioned that and we would have just gone with someone in the room we were in. I had to wait 10 minutes before he came back when I asked the bus boy to add a salad. The food also was disappointing. I would think with the change in season there would be more seasonal dishes. They had only 2 with one being venison. Sorry I font eat Bambi. I also asked I I could get the dis made with a different meat and they said they only had enough of the sides for the special. It seems the pork chop parmiagiano is always a special so to me that's not. We had the wedge salad and although large enough to split, the blue cheese dressing had no bite, Marie's is better put of the jar and they were miniscule crumbles of bacon. I real wedge has hot chunks of bacon slab. My fish dish of lentils and supposedly sea bass was thin and really greasy. At $36 it should be more then 2 thin slices of fish with the skin on them and a few tablespoons of lentils. should be light and airy. Paying $9 for a bowl of broccoli rabe was also a shocker when we got the bill. Also the stuffed veal chop, although huge claims ita in a cognac brandy sauce. Cognac brandy is typically a creamy brown sauce. This was like a balsamic red wine sauce and the supposed fig stuffing was missing.I counted 2 thin slivers. Overall I love Brandos but it was not on the mark this weekend.
Absolutely loved everything about this restaurant - the service was great from the moment we walked in the door through us paying for our meal and departing. The outdoor seating was a huge plus and the food exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend this place, especially for date nights or special occasions.
Food & service is always excellent! The only thing I do not like about going here is that I don't like any of their cocktails, which makes me not want to go. The drinks just aren't good. Especially, if you just left the WaterMark on the boardwalk with top notch drinks.
Never fails to impress ! Our waitress was Awesome ! It was our 32nd Wedding Anniversary and my wife and I had a awesome meal, her recommendations were spot on and what a night !
From soup to nuts, this is where to go for a great night out, food to die for, and an all around great dinning experience !
The specials are always SPECIAL and you can't miss with any selection !
Went to Brando's with another couple celebrating a birthday. Our meal was beautifully presented, and everyone loved what they had. The Chicken Francaise, the Bolognese, and the homemade Gnocci were amazing! Our server, Dillon, was professional, personable and enjoyable! Very knowledgeable about the menu!
