This was my first time at this restaurant but I had heard good things from others. Well, it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the service was top notch and the drinks were just as good. I highly recommend this spot to all.
Everything we had was amazing! I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.
Food and service are consistently very good. This was our fourth time at Brando’s. My only suggestion would be to include a vegetable or side of pasta with the veal chop dishes. I ordered veal parmigiana which was excellent. The piece of meat was huge. However, when one is paying $45 for an entree, one expects some sort of side to be served.
Dillion was an excellent server! Food was great! Beyond expectations!
We had a 5:30 reservation, i ordered the special and they were out of it already. At 5:30? I thought why even bother to have it as a special, i can see if it was later in the evening. Also, we ordered and received our appetizers, were just about finished with them when our waiter told us they were out of my meal. At that point i didn't want to hold up everyone else's dinner.
As always a most delicious meal. I went there for Mother's Day with my daughter, and I had the Chicken Capriccio, and my daughter had the gnocchi. Both excellent meals. I have been there a good amount of times and never am disappointed. They serve you bread with fresh olive oil with garlic, along with some some olive paste, and a ricotta cheese mixture to top the bread. Enjoy!
Waiter recommended the pistachio ice cream cake for desert, and it was the best recommendation I had ever received. So delicious.
Since our 2 children have grown and moved out of state I’ve been taking my wife out the Saturday before Mother’s Day to celebrate I had another restaurant in mind but my daughter’s friend recommended Brando’s, said it was her favorite. It’s now one of mine.
I can not say anything negative about this place.
I have had meals at some of the best restaurants across America. I have eaten at restaurants owned by almost all of the chefs on the Food Network, Brando’s is right up there with them.
Everything and I mean everything was EXCELLENT, looking forward to going back.
Have been to Brando's many times and rarely disappointed. Had the Veal Chop Fouco and it was out of this world. Cooked perfect, w/ tasty long hot peppers. Wife loves the scallops. Daughter likes the gnocchi made 3-ways. Service has been great and our regular waiter remembered the wine I like. Super Tuscan. Always a good meal and a good time at Brando's and never rushed.
First time we ve been there in a couple of years, made reservations and noted as an anniversary dinner. When we arrived we were seated at a quiet table decorated with rose petals. Our server, Theresa, was outstanding++. She gave recommendations on dishes, great service, and friendly conversation. Additionally, she worked with the chef to accomodate my wifes gluten allergy. The appetizers were excellent, and entrees very good. All in all, while a little pricey, a very nice dinner
Our Waiter was great, enjoyed the whole evening. This was my second time. The only problem is your parking. Next visit will take pictures.
We were seated in the dining room at a table meant for four, across from each other. It was in a dark corner, and situated next to a large family party. We asked to move to the table by a window, with seats next to one another so we could talk, and not shout. Two months ago we ate in the more intimate bar area with less noise, it turned out to be more comfortable for the two of us.
This was my husband's birthday which was acknowledged by the confetti on the table. However, when the waiter asked if we wanted dessert, my husband commented, "no", "he had a cake waiting for him at home". Still, I figured the surprise little cannoli would soon arrive.
After the woman at the next table was presented with a birthday cannoli and candle, I assumed he would get the special treatment too. I was wrong. I should not have assumed all guests are treated equally. When we departed the restaurant, I must admit, I felt a little sad because my husband wasn't given the same courtesy on his birthday.
As for the food, my pasta dish was served at the right temperature but the flavor profile very bland with common ingredients; my husband enjoyed the chicken francaise with arancini side very much. The portions are generous, the bread and dip starter thoughtful, beverages good.
We will return to this restaurant for a mid-week, non-celebratory meal. We were impressed with the Hostess who stopped by our table to greet us, that our request to move to another table was granted without hesitation, the lovely restaurant decor and the good food. Please note there is also convenient free valet parking, although it would be nice if this area was cleaned-up.
Dinner for 2 on a Saturday 5 pm reservation. Very good menu. Too many choices and a lot of specials in a good way! I had heard to avoid the seafood but the shrimp/scallop appetizer sounded really good. The shrimp was small and sauce very watery. And it was $25! So I would say to avoid seafood dishes. Main meal was very good. Excellent wine list! Server pleasant but did get the feeling after dessert they were looking for the table so we left and finished up with drinks at another bar. Great atmosphere and decore. Friendly people and a very welcoming vibe. Kinda on the expensive side though. I would recommend it but I’m not dying to go back just yet.
The food was amazing. The service made the food even better. The desert incredible. Go!!
Always great. Bar drinks bartenders and restaurant food and waitstaff attentive. Specials are pricey but very good. All around one of the best dining experiences we have had locally.
We come to Asbury Park in early May every year! We look so forward to our dinner at Brando’s. It is always excellent! We had the branzino and the Veal Chop. Both were outstanding!
We celebrated our Anniversary!! Food was amazing, our waitress was awesome.. she gave us great suggestions. I can’t wait to go back.
Went for the first time...everything was excellent from appetizers to dessert! Our waiter, Abraham was courteous, attentive and professional...will definitely add this restaurant to
my go-to list!
Our server, Benjamin, exceeded our expectations. Food was exceptional! They also had a lot of different "Specials" on the menu to choose from! We celebrated my sister's birthday. The staff at Brando's went above and beyond and decorated our table! Would definitely come back!
My new favorite Italian restaurant down the shore. AMAZING!!! Get the stuffed veal chop!
The service was amazing, the food was incredible and the atmosphere was great. My only complaint is that when we received the check , there was a $1 charge for “rocks”. How dare they. They charged $13 for a Belvedere and added $1 because he ordered it on the rocks. I have never seen anything so petty and ridiculous. We come to Brando’s for the incredible food and do not mind paying for it, but sadly, that put a bit of a damper on the experience.
Always an outstanding experience. Delicious food, great service, nice atmosphere. Meatball insalate and Beggars Purses (crispy wonton filled with sausage and ricotta) are great appetizers. Every main dish is done wonderfully well. The veal, chicken and pork dishes are crazy tender and flavorful. Their pasta Bolognese is a hearty and delicious meal. And they really know how to make top notch cocktails (great Manhattan). Love Brando's!
Great experience every time we come here. It’s definitely crowded and noisy on a Saturday night. Parking is difficult but they do have valet parking. but that didn’t stop us from coming back here because we love their food. and the staff are great.
We have dined at Brando's quite a few times and again I must say we had a very positive dining experience. We brought guests who have never been there and can not wait to dine there again.
Great food, great service . . . highly recommended if you are ever in the Asbury Park area. Great for date nights or group get togethers.
Brando’s never disappoints! We have been eating there for years and always recommend it as one of our favorite restaurants in Asbury Park. We even had our wedding reception there in 2014. Saturday was our dear friends birthday and they haven’t stopped raving about the entire evening from start to finish! We love chris the bartender too. If you’re looking for exceptional Italian cuisine, look no further.
One of the best Italian meals ever!! Home made ravioli stuffed with filet mignon was out of this world!!! Home made zeppolis with vanilla ice cream was outrageous!! Highly recommend!!
Food was just ok. I didn’t really like what I ordered. Next time I come back I’ll try a different dish. Waitress was very nice - attentive and friendly. Loved the ricotta cheesecake.
Brando's has the best food in Asbury Park. They have a wonderful menu with items for virtually every budget. The ambiance is lovely, and on Fri and Sat night, they have valet parking, which is super helpful in that neighborhood!
Food exceptional. Drinks a little pricey at $16 a pop. Waiyer was phenomenal. A little loud but that was because of large group behind us. We definitely will be going back. Just hate the parking in Asbury.
Table was decorated for birthday event...really nice touch. Server was extremely attentive.
Awesome as usual. Great job Steve and staff!!!!! One of our favorites for years
Excellent food, Excellent service, wonderful time!! Second time here and it’s a keeper!! Worth it
We were six for a second go around and as before were super pleased with both their very gourmet style Italian dishes -- and their exceptional steaks.
Would definitely recommend it. Great service, very good food and decibel levels you can actually hear conversation with. Pleasant place to sit. A bonus in Asbury - free street parking! Winning combination. We’ll be back.
Fantastic as always. Food is great probably best Italian on the jersey shore staff is knowledgeable and accommodating Waiter took it upon himself to get my daughter some cannoli’s with holly birthday in the plate. Excellent experience as usual with brandos. And the food is exquisite
My family and I were looking forward to a family get together and your Sunday sauce . Our daughter traveled down from Jersey City as well. Our server Kyle was awesome. After we ordered we were told they were out of the Special Sunday sauce. We were there by 645 n ordered by 7. Are you kidding? Where could we go now? How could you be out of your famous special? How do you not tell your staff ahead of time that you are running low n to be aware? It truly ruined my evening but we made the best of it. Kyle went out of his way apologizing but we knew it wasn’t his fault. Lastly you would think a wonderful establishment would compensate your patrons with a drink on the house or a dessert . But that was not the case. Very unfortunate because You lost a returning customer.
Never a bad meal here my wife and I always enjoy our food and Brando’s in general!
