Normally live the place. The waiter tonight was awful. Slow in attentive. Over 2 hrs for a Tuesday night my kids were exhausted
Great atmosphere... classy yet casual with an old world style. The food was delicious, and the portions are very generous. Our server was incredibly nice and efficient.
What a wonderful dining experience, the staff was friendly and courteous, the food was amazing, this is my new go-to Italian restaurant in Asbury Park. I highly recommend this establishment.
While the food was excellent, we were also very impressed by the service. Our waiter was knowledgeable, gracious and well backed-up by support staff. The experience felt like fine dining.
Excellent service and food. Would go again and would recommend to a friend:)
Fantastic food and service! Thank you!
Absolutely fabulous food and genuinely great service. Lovely cocktails and wine list. So many delicious menu items so hard to chooses. Will definitely be making Brando’s a staple in our repertoire. Recommended highly and exceeded our expectations.
Definitely a great dining experience. Looking forward to next time. Food is delicious.
The meal was delicious. Our server, Nicholas, did a great job of recommending appetizers, entrees and wine. The beef was excellent but pricey. Next time I will try the pasta dishes which are 30% of the price of the ribeye and fillet mignon entreeso. The zeppoli dessert brought back good memories of the Jersey Boardwalk. Pricey but a nice option for special occasions.
Excellent meal and service! Veal chop Parmesan was a winner!!!
One of our favorites in AP. Only drawback is since it is so popular , difficult to get a reservation on the weekend.
Service is always excellent
On the expensive side but one of the best Jersey Shore Italian restaurants
The servers at Brando’s are simply amazing and just friendly. Bobby is always on point and willing to accommodate us anytime we are there. The food is always delicious especially their pork special!!!
We frequent Brando's often and always have had exceptional service. Teresa is the Best! She always recommends the best dinners ! And we happily oblige. Anytime we dine with friends we make reservations at Brando's . Happy Hour is not to miss! Any seafood dish is tasty and filling. And their chocolate mouse is delicious. It's family friendly too. We bring the kids on occasion and the staff is inviting to them as well. I love the dining room with all the chandeliers, it's warm - cozy and romantic. It's our go-to restaurant in Asbury Park !
First time at Brando's, great menu selection, loved the food! Prefer outside seating during the summer months. Interior and bar area very nice, just a little too dark in the main dining area. Happy Hour menu also had a variety of selections . Plan to return to Brandos and recommend to our friends.
Ok, so tonight I just finished my ribeye steak. Even 4 days later its still one of the best pieces of steak I have ever had. I am a real foodie, I cooked my way through college and have a passion for grilling, smoking, BBQ of all kinds and oh yes STEAK! Since I know how to source good meat myself and have a great grill (charcoal of course) I am VERY CRITICAL of a restaurants steak. I have visited Brandos on a number of occasions but for whatever reason I didn't order the steak. That's my bad. So on a date night I decided I would go for the cowboy! Suffice it to say it was absolutely one of the best, not only in the general area (Think CHAR or COPPER CANYON) but it was one of the best I have had anywhere. I even had char grilled ribeye in Florence, Italy that I was sure was the best I have had all over the world but I kid you not this was so close it was scary.
So do you really care that the white asparagus was great or that our tartufo was delish? Nah!!
If you are into steak, I mean really into it and are willing to pony up the $85 you will get a phenomenal meal. Now you may ask who would pay $85 for a steak? The reason I did was the steak was not ON the menu and the waiter DID NOT discuss price. Hmmm, the question is would I have ordered it if I knew how much it was going to be? Being 100% honest, probably not. So in some way I am glad I didn't know because I would've missed out on one of the best steaks ever. Now you may ask, knowing the price would I order it again? YESSSS!!
Worth every penny!
We have enjoyed Brandos every time we have dined there. The food quality is top draw, the staff friendly and do everything they can to make the experience wonderful. From Business dinners to celebrations we have not been disappointed. Great place.
Spectacular menu, Gorgeous food, super attentive wait staff, ideal ambience. Don't miss this ideal dining experience.
Brandos is always a wonderful experience. From the food to the service it’s top notch and a must visit.
Anniversary dinner it was amazing! Anniversary confetti sprinkled on the table was such a great touch thank you for a Delicious dinner.
Was here once before for a work gathering and was very happy to still see octopus on the menu as a special, that octopus is ridiculously good. All the food and drink were excellent and for the prices id expect nothing less. A little loud for intimate dining but great feel to the place and great food and great service.
Fan freakin tastic. Just one of the best meals i have ever had.
Great waitress - Teresa
Rude hostess - I respect reservations and timeline of seatings but the hostess was rude, condescending and demeaning because I was 20 minutes late - even AFTER I called and someone else kindly said “no problem - see you when you get here”
Can't believe it was rated #1 in a recent article about Asbury Park restaurants. We'll never go again. Although my scallops were great, risotto was gummy. Calamari & shrimp were both overcooked. For the prices, I'd only recommend for a business purpose.
Always a memorable meal
Best place for steak and more
This is the second time I have been here and the food is phenomenal!
I had the veal Milanese and it was just as delicious as it was huge!.
This was my first time at this restaurant but I had heard good things from others. Well, it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the service was top notch and the drinks were just as good. I highly recommend this spot to all.
Everything we had was amazing! I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.
Food and service are consistently very good. This was our fourth time at Brando’s. My only suggestion would be to include a vegetable or side of pasta with the veal chop dishes. I ordered veal parmigiana which was excellent. The piece of meat was huge. However, when one is paying $45 for an entree, one expects some sort of side to be served.
Dillion was an excellent server! Food was great! Beyond expectations!
We had a 5:30 reservation, i ordered the special and they were out of it already. At 5:30? I thought why even bother to have it as a special, i can see if it was later in the evening. Also, we ordered and received our appetizers, were just about finished with them when our waiter told us they were out of my meal. At that point i didn't want to hold up everyone else's dinner.
As always a most delicious meal. I went there for Mother's Day with my daughter, and I had the Chicken Capriccio, and my daughter had the gnocchi. Both excellent meals. I have been there a good amount of times and never am disappointed. They serve you bread with fresh olive oil with garlic, along with some some olive paste, and a ricotta cheese mixture to top the bread. Enjoy!
Waiter recommended the pistachio ice cream cake for desert, and it was the best recommendation I had ever received. So delicious.
Since our 2 children have grown and moved out of state I’ve been taking my wife out the Saturday before Mother’s Day to celebrate I had another restaurant in mind but my daughter’s friend recommended Brando’s, said it was her favorite. It’s now one of mine.
I can not say anything negative about this place.
I have had meals at some of the best restaurants across America. I have eaten at restaurants owned by almost all of the chefs on the Food Network, Brando’s is right up there with them.
Everything and I mean everything was EXCELLENT, looking forward to going back.
Have been to Brando's many times and rarely disappointed. Had the Veal Chop Fouco and it was out of this world. Cooked perfect, w/ tasty long hot peppers. Wife loves the scallops. Daughter likes the gnocchi made 3-ways. Service has been great and our regular waiter remembered the wine I like. Super Tuscan. Always a good meal and a good time at Brando's and never rushed.
First time we ve been there in a couple of years, made reservations and noted as an anniversary dinner. When we arrived we were seated at a quiet table decorated with rose petals. Our server, Theresa, was outstanding++. She gave recommendations on dishes, great service, and friendly conversation. Additionally, she worked with the chef to accomodate my wifes gluten allergy. The appetizers were excellent, and entrees very good. All in all, while a little pricey, a very nice dinner
Our Waiter was great, enjoyed the whole evening. This was my second time. The only problem is your parking. Next visit will take pictures.
We were seated in the dining room at a table meant for four, across from each other. It was in a dark corner, and situated next to a large family party. We asked to move to the table by a window, with seats next to one another so we could talk, and not shout. Two months ago we ate in the more intimate bar area with less noise, it turned out to be more comfortable for the two of us.
This was my husband's birthday which was acknowledged by the confetti on the table. However, when the waiter asked if we wanted dessert, my husband commented, "no", "he had a cake waiting for him at home". Still, I figured the surprise little cannoli would soon arrive.
After the woman at the next table was presented with a birthday cannoli and candle, I assumed he would get the special treatment too. I was wrong. I should not have assumed all guests are treated equally. When we departed the restaurant, I must admit, I felt a little sad because my husband wasn't given the same courtesy on his birthday.
As for the food, my pasta dish was served at the right temperature but the flavor profile very bland with common ingredients; my husband enjoyed the chicken francaise with arancini side very much. The portions are generous, the bread and dip starter thoughtful, beverages good.
We will return to this restaurant for a mid-week, non-celebratory meal. We were impressed with the Hostess who stopped by our table to greet us, that our request to move to another table was granted without hesitation, the lovely restaurant decor and the good food. Please note there is also convenient free valet parking, although it would be nice if this area was cleaned-up.
Dinner for 2 on a Saturday 5 pm reservation. Very good menu. Too many choices and a lot of specials in a good way! I had heard to avoid the seafood but the shrimp/scallop appetizer sounded really good. The shrimp was small and sauce very watery. And it was $25! So I would say to avoid seafood dishes. Main meal was very good. Excellent wine list! Server pleasant but did get the feeling after dessert they were looking for the table so we left and finished up with drinks at another bar. Great atmosphere and decore. Friendly people and a very welcoming vibe. Kinda on the expensive side though. I would recommend it but I’m not dying to go back just yet.
