Brando's was founded on the premise of great food made from quality ingredients, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere which we believe are the three elements of any enjoyable dining experience.
The chef/owner, Steven Botta, grew up in Brooklyn and learned many of recipes used at Brando's from his mother. Raised in this welcoming tradition, he believes when you enter Brando's, whether its your first time or your one hundredth time, you should always feel like they are dining with family.
Soulful Italian is the best way to describe our menu. Our culinary team has been trained at the finest culinary schools, and has over fifty years of combined experience. From our fresh pasta, to our line-caught fish, to our thirty-five day dry-aged steaks, the difference is discernible

Brando's Ratings and Reviews
Birthday dinner was so good! Wonderful food and excellent service - valet parking helps in this weather. A very warm and memorable dining experience. My date had the steak and said it lives up to the hype. Definitely recommend. It’s a splurge for us but well worth it.
I have enjoyed dining at Brando’s numerous times. However, this was the first time that I thought to scrutinize the bill. To my surprise, my wife’s usual eggplant parmigiana, was charged as “chicken parmigiana. I was told that this is how it has always been done. I understand that this is not a standard menu item but, in my experience, that doesn’t justify charging for eggplant as you would chicken. The dollar difference when compared to Michael’s of Brooklyn (I dine there at least every other month- just ask Enzo or John), Chef Vola in AC or any other fine Italian restaurant. It’s the principle and charge for the “accommodation” not the $4 or $5 that I find disturbing. Guaranteed this would not be the policy at Michael’s.
It was by far the best restaurant my wife and I have been to in years . We’ve been to japan Italy Mexico Canada and the Caribbean. And this was our favorite. We wouldn’t change a thing about brando’s We couldn’t have asked for a better place to end and start the new year thank you very much . We’re looking forward to going back
As always it starts at the front door. Reservations for 8PM on Christmas Eve. Sat on time in the area requested. Hostess is a delight, friendly, courteous, frequents the dining rooms visiting each table. She looked marvelous in her holiday dress! Drinks ordered and served quickly, bread arrived quickly. Appetizers and dinner ordered. All meals were quite good, service was quite good. For a Christmas Eve and a very busy room all went well. If you like spicy the Brando Pork chop was quite good. All in all another wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at Brando's with my family!
THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND THEIR WAS PLENTY OF IT. I BROUGHT MY VEAL PARM HOME AND MADE 2 MORE MEALS OUT OF IT. THE AMBIANCE WAS GOOD ALSO. THE SERVER WAS GOOD ALSO BUT HE COULD HAVE TALKED ALITTLE LOUDER, I HAD TROUBLE HEARING EVERYTHING HE SAID. I WOULD DEFINATELY COME BACK HERE AGAIN. IT'S A LITTLE PRICEY BUT IT'S WORTH IT.
Mixed review. The service was excellent and our waiter, Ben was on top of things with a very professional demeanor.
The apps of calimari, artichokes and beggars purses were ok, not memorable. Entrees were decent with the exemption of my chicken scarpariello. Other reviews have mentioned how uncomfortably hot this dish was. It had too much heat with jalapeño peppers or something similar. The chicken was three tiny pieces. One leg, thigh and wing. No breast. Potatoes were almost non existent. I’ve had this dish at their other restaurant in Marlboro and there was no similarity. Marlboro was superb. This was horrible.
Deserts were great. We will try again in the future and try some different dishes. Its a nice atmosphere with good people.
When you're in the mood for a very special meal, consider Brando's. This was my second time there, and once again, it exceeded my expectations. The food is cooked and prepared to perfection, the wine chilled perfectly and the service exceptional. This time I sat in the bar dining room which was a bit noisy, but for a quieter ambiance, ask to sit dine in the other room. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
We came here during the summer with another couple and had a wonderful meal. Always wanted to come back but schedules wouldn't allow until now. We braved the snow and thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. Whether it's dinner with friends, or a family meal on Sunday, Brando's never disappoints.
Although AP has many culinary offerings, we find ourselves going to Brando's again and again for two reasons: the spectacular food and outstanding service. The wait staff is impeccable - this evening we had Theresa who knows how to make her customers feel special. She recalled us from other times we've dined with her, remembered our favorite wine and appetizer, and helped us pick out some extraordinary specials, making recommendations that were spot on, and later helped us pick out a delicious dessert. She was attentive but not obtrusive. The cuisine never disappoints. The angilotti appetizer is tender with a sauce that is the right blend of creaminess with a hint of sweetness. Veal chop with bolognaise sauce was decadent and generous enough for two meals. And the monkfish wrapped with prosciutto was one of the best meals my friend has ever had. The ambiance and atmosphere melds well with the cuisine - you almost feel like you're dining in Italy. If you have never tried this restaurant, don't hesitate - you will not be disappointed!
I have been to Brando's many times and always enjoy it. My family loves the fish and the scallops are (almost) always delicious (more later). I love the steaks as well as veal chop. Salads are good and a nice wine list. The Super Tuscan's although pricey are great. We did go one night a month or so ago and everyone who had the scallops said they were not good. It was very unusual and I believe a quality issue that night only. They were excellent when we went again and my wife gave it another try. So we will be back.
Our meals were average at best. The chicken scarpiello was most wings and bone. The larger pieces of meat were over done. The garlic Shrimp was flavorful but the shrimp was way overcooked. Its wasn't like the place was packed as we had a 6pm reservation and only a few tables were seated at that time. After many good meals we were completely disappointed.
