The chef/owner, Steven Botta, grew up in Brooklyn and learned many of recipes used at Brando's from his mother. Raised in this welcoming tradition, he believes when you enter Brando's, whether its your first time or your one hundredth time, you should always feel like they are dining with family.
Soulful Italian is the best way to describe our menu. Our culinary team has been trained at the finest culinary schools, and has over fifty years of combined experience. From our fresh pasta, to our line-caught fish, to our thirty-five day dry-aged steaks, the difference is discernible
Everything was delicious with a beautiful presentation. My branzino with black lentils was good but not as flavorful as all of the other dishes everyone at our table ordered.
So I had heard great things about Brando's and decided to check it out for my birthday. And I'm glad I did. From the moment we walked in we knew it was going to be good, it just had that vibe. Our waiter, Bruno, was excellent - knowledgeable, patient and a good sense of humor. The stuffed Branzino was cooked perfectly and my wife loved the Brodetto. I can't wait to get back.

The food was excellent from the appetizers, to the main course to the dessert. My wife, a vegetarian, had the eggplant tower as an appetizer. She really liked it and it was big enough to be an entree. I had the Brodetto, which was outstanding. The dessert favorites were the zabaglione and the bite-sized zeppole filled with Nutella (this may have been a special.) The server was a little gruff, but overall fine, and the hostess stopped by a number of times to make sure everything was ok.
In all, a great dining experience.
This is our go-to place. We love the food, the service, Sue the manager, and one of our our favorite members of the human species, Theresa- the BEST server anywhere! After our very first time there, Theresa remembered exactly what we like to eat and drink. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and treats us like we are guests in her house. All of the servers are outstanding, the food is ready, the ambiance is lovely, although it can get a bit noisy at peak hours. Just go there!- you will love it
While the overall lighting was too low to read the menu the decor was tasteful and the food was delicious and plentiful. The service was somewhat condescending, but efficient.
Brando’s is fantastic. We enjoyed every part of the meal. Appetizers were both specials, grilled octopus and figs with prosciutto. My wife and I shared a porterhouse for 2, which was perfectly prepared. Ended with coffee and zeppoles stuffed with cannoli cream and Nutella. Service was great. Valet parking was very convenient. I strongly recommend Brando’s.

We had a delicious dinner here. However our shrimp/scallop appetizer was not worth the $25 price tag. It was good but not worth the money. The service was top notch, our waiter excellent. We would definitely come back.
The only complaint I had about our dinner was with the AC vent which was blowing directly down on me making dinner very uncomfortable. The hostess did raise the thermostat once which helped until it kicked back on then it blew the rest of the evening.
Brando’s was amazing! The food was excellent and very large portions. The service was excellent, our waitress was amazing, she remembered all 8 of our orders without writing it done! I wish I remembered her name. I highly recommended eating here if your in Asbury! I will definitely be returning.
Didnt quite meet the mark when so many have given great reviews. Salad came late and was mediocre for a Caesar. Veal was good but dish was drowning in sauce when described in menu as "lightly" drizzled. Bolognese pasta entree was enjoyed by friend, but two others ordered entree with shrimp, rice ball ,etc. and it was fair. Appetizers (Zuccini, Polenta with mushrooms, and long hot peppers) were good. All in all I would not go back anytime soon
My entree--stuffed branzino--was excellent; however, the vegetable dish--potatoes and carrots--were not warm. Also, dessert came after we had finished our coffee.
Our waiter, Abraham, was pleasant and informative.
I will return, even though I believe the dinner was a bit pricey, in hopes that the above issues do not occur next time.

Brando's has a great Vibe, very friendly! The complimentary bread and tri-dips (olive oil w/creamy garlic cloves, amazing ricotta and tapenade) was excellent. We ordered the Scallops and Shrimp Appy special. The taste was amazing! The size of shrimp and the 2 scallops was disappointing. Caesar Salad was very good and big enough to split. The main entrees were Meatballs and spaghetti, delicious and did not disappoint. The meatballs were melt in your mouth and huge! The other entree was Pasta Al Fornia, it was delicious and greatly enjoyed. I would absolutely recommend and go back to try the seafood.

Everything was wonderful except the service. Let me put it this way. We had cocktails at out table. 2 of the 3 glasses were still on the table when we were asked if we wanted dessert.

We tried Brando’s based on a recommendation. Needless to say...it was awesome!! Friendly staff, impressive menu!! Parpadelle bolognese was incredible!! Chicken Parmigiana.. one of the BEST! Can’t wait to come back!

very impressed with the service & food. It was my son in law & daughter'sanniversary and they made it very special. Our table was sprinkled with Rose Pedals and they gave a special dessert.

Great restaurant. Nice menu. No waiting with a reservation on a busy Saturday evening. The menu had so many great sounding items that I finally settled on the Beggars Purses. Delicious and bursting with flavor and maybe a bit rich. Split them with someone so they are not so overwhelming. My partner had the Veal something with fresh greens covering soft and tender breaded veal. Really good. I ordered the fusilli in a cream sauce with Pacific shrimp (forgot formal name). OMG; it was served in a huge piece of aluminum foil. The person who delivered my dinner just open the foil up part way and I was supposed to eat it out of this big piece of foil. I should have sent it back. First the fussilli was not twisted or even curved; it was straight (???) pasta with a heavy cream sauce so rich and deep I didn't finish. When our waiter did come to the table he touched my arm or shoulder every time. Every time. We joined friends who were dining outside for coffee. It was obvious their was not happy we joined. We didn't even ask him for anything. I felt relief after we left. I was so self conscious. I will try this place again sometime because it was good, I just made poor choices. I must also say that they so sweetly had our table decorated for our anniversary. Thank you for that Brando. I'll be sure to order food served on china next time. Can you imagine a" Fusilli Jerry" made by Dr. Van Nostrum from straight fusilli???
We enjoy Brandos and have many nicely prepared meals there. However, Saturday lacked its usual high level of food, flavor and service we are accustomed to when we dine there. I will say the hostess was very kind and seemed interested in our dissatisfaction but offered compensation.
I got the seafood special that was a pasta with crab and a lobster tail, I think. It was two Half lobster tails with some white asparagus and herbs in a butter sauce. At best it was an OK cup maybe cup and a half of pasta that was 45.00, which in my opinion was very over priced for both the portion, presentation and flavor. I felt like I could have made it at home. For that price I expect an incredible meal not a broth pasta with two half tails on top.
I do not support the “market price” argument as I do not think the tails were fresh or large enough to factor into the price. 29.00 would have been fare but overpriced for the “special”
With that said the VEAL CHOP was and is amazing as is the steaks we had last visit. Stay away from the pasta specials they are up charged. 45.00 come on!
We will return but will never choose the 45.00 pasta specials again. Disappointed and they should hurry up and remove them from the special list. They do so much right but this was not one of them.
Service seemed to be rushed, and gave more attention to the larger table next to us. Waited for our drink order. Reminded the server several times, and when the drink arrived it was watered down.
The special needed to be sent back since it was missing the crab meat. When it came back the crab was cold.
Had to ask for a fork and knife.
Had to wait 25 minutes for our car to come from their valet service.
Disappointed because we know we had better service and food in the past.
Everything here was superb. The service, quality of food, ambiance, and overall experience was above par. Would highly recommend. A bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for.
Brando's is hands down my favorite restaurant. I am very picky when it comes to meals and even pickier when it comes to dessert. Brando's never lets me down and the service is always amazing!!!
