Food was excellent. So was server Laurie! This is a great restaurant for food and service.
Food is consistently very good and service awesome! Ask for Lori on the waitstaff-she’s great!
Great food. The dining area light is too bright. Kind of cafeteria like.
We were celebrating our anniversary . The food was spectacular . The waitress was great . We had a corner booth in the bar which seemed tucked away but it was a little loud . That was my only complaint . But overall everything was great and we will be back !
We have eaten here several times in fact second time this week This was my wife’s birthday They
are always accommodating and asked them to
make a special appetizer not on the menu and it
was no problem for them service was outstanding
and the meals excellent
We always have a great experience at branchwater. Service is great, food is fantastic and comes out piping hot. Love the brussel sprouts!
Bleh. Overrated. We went to Branchwater for a recent birthday celebration. And I wasn't very impressed. The drinks are way over-priced. While the food was competent, it wasn't as good as other restaurants that are half the price. Unless your going out with a group and want to impress with fine surroundings and rustic wooden ambiance, save some money and stick with the places you know. I don't think we'll go back.
We had a fabulous time! Delicious cocktails and dinner. Nice quiet table in the corner was very appreciated.
Table was ready when we arrived. Food and cocktails were excellent! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
I was "googling" for Branch and Barrel and ended up at Branchwater. I had no idea both were the brainchild of Chef Todd Hogan. What a fantastic find!!! Food was fabulous, service by our waitress, Julie was phenomenal, attentive and funny. The live music was unexpected, just the right volume and quite the right atmosphere for a great Saturday night out in the suburbs! The Brussels sprouts alone will bring me back time and time again and that was just the appetizer. Well worth the trip to Vickery.
Went there with party of 6 after my daughter’s school play. Brian was our waiter and he was very attentive, respectful and very good at his job. The food was excellent as were the cocktails! Love the wine selection too, you can’t go wrong with Branchwater!
Loved the fish special but not the pickled vegetables
Brussel sprouts were charred and greasy. Crab cakes were overpowered with lemon and mushy.
Everything was great except I ordered three different bottles of wine before they had the one I wanted. I’m not sure if they were changing over the menu but it became a bit ridiculous.
Thought they were a little pricey but they are in a high rent area. Apps were great over priced. We will go back but not as often as I would like due to the overall prices. It’s more of a “special” occasion place rather than an everyday place.
Branchwater is always a delight. Brussels sprout appetizer is to die for! Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Service is attentive and courteous. Recommended.
Shawn was outstanding! Will absolutely be back! Bar area was a but noisy but busy.
On a special weekend out of town for my boyfriend and I, we were looking for an elevated dining experience to celebrate some much needed alone time. This restaurant did not disappoint. We arrived a few minutes early and they were happy to seat us. Our server was knowledgeable of the menu items and happy to make suggestions that we took and were so glad we did. THOSE SPROUTS! Delicious. She was friendly and very helpful. She even suggested a few areas for us to visit nearby that we might enjoy before we headed home.
For our entrees, we had the veal meatballs with gnocchi and the hangar steak. Everything was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented.
Our date night was lovely & we definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant.
Always had a great experience here! Will definitely return.
Laurie was our server and she was fantastic. We had her one other time about six months ago and both times she did not disappoint. Great place and great food! We will be back.
Nice place for a date. Food is consistently good.
Great food and service! A little dark and somewhat noisy.
We live about 35 miles away from the restaurant but have been back twice and plan to go again. The food is very good, the service was really good too, drinks are great and everyone is super friendly. The best for me is that the little village it is located in has other fun things to do: bring bocci balls and play on the cute turf area, get coffee, ice cream or just hang out. Not pretentious like Avalon, just cute and fun and good options for food. This restaurant however will be our go to place in that area. Really, really good and fun!
Overall the Valentine's dinner was excellent . The service was good and the drinks were awesome. The only drawback was they ran out of scallops and my wife had to watch the table across from us get the last order but the shrimp and grits she ordered were good. I had the filet and lobster tail which were awesome. The Brussel Sprouts are the best thing on the menu besides the delicious creme brûlée bananas foster and we splurged and got the lemon pound cake with a berry compote. Noise level was fine . Everything was really good and will return again.
Nice place, perfect environment & exquisite food.
The server Heather was fantastic.
We enjoyed a great Valentine’s dinner together. Always love the brussel sprout appetizer. Wife enjoyed the scallops and I the shrimp. Our server Julia was very good. We’ll be back.
Nothing particularly spectacular about this restaurant. The meal was fine but we took home some desserts which turned out to be subpar. Our server mentioned they had a pastry chef. I would recommend finding another one.
Disappointing dining experience. Server confused orders and embarrassed my older teens (15-17) by insisting on my verbal approval anytime they ordered something, even a simple drink. He would often interrupt conversation to do so. Both the steak and salmon ordered were dry and tough, inedible. I was served two glasses of wine that were barely a quarter of the glass, even after pointing out to the server the noticeably larger pours at tables surrounding us and at the bar.
Just ok. Better restaurants for a date night. Service was slow and definitely not a romantic place as there were several little kids in the restaurant. Won’t be back.
We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday w/o kids. Had reservation for 8pm and was seated around 8:20. It was a shaky start as we were sat without menus. We were told by two different employees they’d be right back with menus and 10 minutes later still no menus. It wasn’t because they were all being used as we noticed other tables being seated with them. We ordered wine and an app from one server then another came over and we explained we had already ordered. The server said “oh no” turned around and went right to the other server to hash out who was taking us. When our wine arrived the server had brought over two glasses and one was completely busted out on the side 😳 thankfully she caught it before pouring.
The food was amazing!! It was a little loud (echo) in there but we thought most likely because live music was playing in the bar area and they must’ve had the background music off in the restaurant.
Overall, we were happy with our night and were VERY thankful we weren’t paying for a babysitter that night as we were there much longer than expected. Even with the mishaps that happened we both agreed we would be back as the food was so delicious. Probably just an “off” night ☺️
The noise level is horrible. You can’t carry on a conversation. The waitress was probably the worse we have ever had. The food continues to be very good. It will be a while before we go back.
Fantastic food. Had the salmon on the last trip and sea bass a few days before. Recommend both.
Great atmosphere. The bar area is warm and cozy. Lighting is perfectly low. Food is Fantastic. Best steak around!! Never disappoints.
Food is great. The only suggestion I might have is regarding the lighting. I would like to see pinpoint lighting installed for the eating areas rather than regular overhead lighting. I like the candles on every table. Also the booth tables in the room to the left when entering are 2 to 3 inches too high. Other than that.....I like.
Wow.....where do I begin!! This was our first experience at Branchwater, and all I can say is WOW!! From the moment we were seated, they informed us, they were short on menus? As we waited for menus our waitress took our drink order ( luckily we knew what we wanted) 5-7 minutes later....she returned to take our drink order??? As if we had never ordered our drinks. Perhaps it was the noise level in the restaurant that was confusing her? It was so loud I could barely hear my husband talk to me. When we received our entrees the waitress offered to bring us salt and pepper, which she totally forgot to return with. As our food got cold, we flagged her down. My husband ordered the grouper ( his favorite) fish . He is not a picky eater, and he said it was the worst grouper he has ever eaten. It was both soggy and over salted. I had lobster, shrimp, and scallops. The lobster was also soggy and under cooked. I began to eat my scallops, only to find a piece of plastic wrap attached to the seared scallops. The waitress saw me pulling the plastic wrap from my mouth, and said omg "don't tell me that was in your food" ??? She wisked it off to the kitchen. As we waited, and waited, and waited....she returned later and offered us free dessert. Really?? Free dessert! How about some scallops without the melted plastic wrap? She also tried to tell me at that point it wasn't plastic, it was shrimp shell. Really?? It was in my mouth, it was plastic wrap. As I unfolded it....I could tell exactly what it was!! So... a young gentlemen did bring us a free dessert, however, no silverware!! As we waited for silverware....our overwhelmed waitress proceeded to drop an entire tray of drinks right in front of our table, breaking glass everywhere!! So after spending $100 on one of the worst meals I had in a very long time, feeling sorry for you our overwhelmed waitress, and my husband spending the evening with horrible stomach cramps....We won't be back!
The food was excellent, and the atmosphere had a real good vibe
Such an asset to the Vickery communitee!! Great food options, amazing service, and a great place to run into neighbors and friends alike.
Unimpressed. Tuna tartar app was only 2 bites for $13 and the presentation was poor. A small pile of tuna was delivered on a large plate. It looked like someone opens a can and dumped it on a plate.
We then had a salad that was literally a pile of iceberg lettuce with 3 grape tomatoes cut in half. Nothing else!
Our server was so great and genuine. We always love going to Branchwater.
