Great food and good service
Great burger and sweet potato fries! Server was very nice and quick with our order.
We stopped in after a 9 hour drive so fast service and great food was perfect.
For our first time there, our experience was well above average! Food was tasty. Service great even though very busy on a Friday night. Noise level is a little high, but our table was right in the middle of the restaurant. Manager, Kevin, made our visit even more enjoyable and memorable!
This was our third time dining at Branch & Barrel. Consistent quality in food, mixed drinks, and service. Please try the Brussels appetizer! Delicious! The outdoor seating is comfortable rain or shine.
It was amazing! Brussel sprouts were so delish....I’m ordering every time! Drinks were on point as well as my food. I will definitely be back often.
Great restaurant. Wonderful menu. Great drinks. Love the Brussels! Will definitely be back. One of our top 5 restaurants.
We ate outdoors with out of town friends this weekend. Food and service is always excellent. Can't go wrong with their Brussels Sprouts appetizer. The best! Our party of four had the B & B burger (2) and Pimento Cheese burger and Hanger Steak entree and everyone enjoyed their meal! A great go-to in Avalon! (Their grilled salmon sandwich and salads are delicious too.)
One of my favorite places in Atlanta
Our server was very good. We sat on the patio and the food was good as well. I give it a 4, because I wasn’t blown away, but it was definitely better than most.
One of our favorite restaurants! Love the food, service & atmosphere. Excellent as always. Don’t forget to start with the Brussel sprouts appetizer...cooked to perfection.
If you love Brussels spouts You must try their appetizers.
Small and cozy. Food was great. We will be back. Staff and chef super friendly.
Service was great. Food was a pretty spicy but good
The food seems to get better every time. From the appetizers to the specials, we enjoy a wonderful experience.
My favorite entree at Branch and Barrel is the Salmon Salad. The Salmon is always cooked to perfection. The Sweet Potato Fries with Candied Bacon is a fabulous starter. Cocktails are delicious.
Food was delicious! We enjoyed the unique menu and excellent service.
As always, the varied & well-priced menu provides options for all tastes. The restaurant was bustling due to beautiful weather and vaccines! It was crowded inside, but the staff have separated tables with curtains and partitions. We love brussels sprouts and routinely order them as appetizers wherever & whenever they appear on a menu. Branch & Barrel's are the best of the lot: always perfectly cooked, crisper, large portion, just delicious. I had the tender and well-seasoned flank steak which was cooked exactly as ordered (medium rare), the 2 side dishes that accompanied it were extremely generous and delicious: I subbed the regular fries for sweet potato fries, plus fresh coleslaw. My significant other had the fish sandwich, which was cooked perfectly. This restaurant is a reliable neighborhood standby for us.
It was my first time visiting and the place was phenomenal. The staff were all attentive and friendly and they have great recommendations on drinks and food. The C. Lantro Green cocktail was amazing and I can’t even begin to explain how tasty the Lobster Pot Pie was! I will definitely be back!
Great food As always! Service was slow, but appeared to be a new petson
Excellent food and service!
Our dinner and appetizers were great and our server was excellent. The desserts were poor and not fresh.
The fried checken was way loaded with salt and inside was over the top noisy. We could hardly hear each other. We dined very early asked to sit outside and were declined. The entire time we were there there were tables open outside. Very disappointing for the price. We won't return. Too many other options in Avalon.
Outdoor dining was great!
Great evening at Branch & Barrel. The food was very good. We both had salads and they were excellent. The service was superb. We sat outside which offered privacy and great ambiance. Definitely will be going back.
Our waitress was great. The food was good, we would definitely go again. Dessert was yummy. Five people in our party and one person said their food was just OK... but the others really enjoyed their meals.
We will definitely be returning.
Service was great! Brussel sprouts, broiled goat cheese, grilled salmon salad, crispy bbq pork shoulder was all very good! Old fashioneds were great!
We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday.... she lives out of town!!! It’s our BIRTH day ! Fabulous food, as always! Grilled salmon, chili grouper and shrimp/ grits. While I loved my cucumber martini, my husband and son enjoyed the wide range of bourbon and beer selections. Mason was our server and he went above and beyond to make our dinner special! Kudos to the chef! We had such a fun evening. It was our first time back to Branch & Barrel, since Covid.
Awesome food & great menu!
Restaurant posted business hours until 11pm, and takes reservations on openable near that time. After landing from a trip, we made a reservation for two at 10:15pm and where there before that.
We were greeted with a “we are closed/closing” statement. We told them we had a reservation, so they sat us. Then, we were told kitchen closes at 10:20. Really? Not long after they also told us they were closing the bar in case we wanted another round of drinks.
I have two of my children working in restaurants, and we are very sensitive to their opinion of customers coming in right before, or just at, closing time. Hence we chose a restaurant we we had good 45 minutes before closing, and were willing to order quickly.
In my opinion, that is the restaurant’s management problem. Not the paying customers. If they really want to close and turn off the lights after cleaning up at 11pm, they should close the doors one hour earlier. Certainly not take reservations just before 11. Or, they at least could post “kitchen closes at 10:15, bar service stops at 10:30, etc”
The food was “just ok”. For a restaurant of this category, I can only wonder if the food so-n-so quality was the result of kitchen not very happy?
We still left a decent tip, my son wouldn’t have let me do otherwise even if justified... but frankly, this time they did not earn it.
The food is amazing and the atmosphere is great! Highly recommend!
Great food and service was fantastic
Place is nice and cozy- noise level was fine, temp. and lighting comfortable. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Restaurant appeared clean and organized. Sever was friendly but did not make any specific recommendations- desserts not offered. I saw a smoked drink on the menu and asked if they would smoke my old fashioned which they did and it was great (though a little on the small side). Had bruseels sprouts which were excellent as an app. Also had the "chicken and pickles" app- nothing special on this one. The tuna poke was interesting with the watermelon in it-still not sure on this one. Wife had fried chicken-quite possible the best fried chicken in all of Atlanta- yummy. I had the lobster pot pie and enjoyed it as well. French fries were also very good. Will be back for the chicken and brussels and to try more items.
Loved the atmosphere, and food. Our service was great! We will be back!
Great experience server was extremely helpful
They didn’t have any tuna in the tuna poke appetizer. I told the waitress who took it back to the kitchen and then brought it back to me. She said that the kitchen told her that the tuna was in there and that it and the watermelon just tasted similar. I first said okay and tasted again, but every bit was crunchy like watermelon. I know what tuna poke is and have it often. There was no tuna. The waitress seemed annoyed and said she’d check with her manager. The manager brought out a new dish that actually included the tuna and said it would be taken off our bill. When our bill came, the dish was still on it. All throughout, the waitress would never admit the kitchen’s mistake and acted like I was just being picky. I don’t think I’ve ever sent a dish back before in my life, but I wasn’t going to pay $14 just for some tiny cubes of watermelon. The experience just ruined the dinner.
Great food, will definitely go back.
Truly enjoyed our outdoor lunch on a warm Saturday afternoon. Great drink recommendations and appetizers. Loved the Sweet Potato Fries and Brussel Sprouts.
Good food, good service, nice setting.
