Branca is near the Erie Canal, Eastview Mall, The Woodcliff Hotel, The Hilton Garden Inn, Powder Mill Park, Village of Pittsford, & the YMCA.
Food and drinks were excellent. A few more red wines, like some Willamet Valley pinos would be a nice addition.
Although Branca is one of the local restaurants we often go to when we are at nearby Eastview Mall or in Pittsford, we had no idea that their Mother's Day Brunch menu was going to be so HIGH PRICED. Usually an entree at the restaurant is between $16 and $22. But on Mothers Day, the management decided to rake in the bucks, Charging $27. for a small plate of Gnocchi pasta with squash & Tomatoes ( no meat) and $26. for a plate of French Toast ( 2 small slices). One we were there and sat down at our reserved table, there was no choice but to order. Branca's website did not advertise that they would be having a "special Mother's Day Menu" - so we were not forewarned - and therefore "ripped off". The food ( small portions)and service were fine as usual, but I will definitely think twice about going there again. $26. for French toast on a plate with 2 strawberries is outrageous .
GREAT service! Nice people!
Small servings, except the pizza. Good quality food!!
offered to split large salads for us - nice!
Great gathering place with good food, great pizzas and cocktails. Service is attentive and friendly
Service was poor, food was mediocre and the noise level was so loud (and the music so inappropriate) we could not even converse
We drove to our reservation and they closed early so we didn’t eat here
Always a great spot!
Food is very good , table was sticky, server was very good . When you first open your business attention to detail was evident , not so much now . It’s the little things that will bring people back . Having said that your food is good .
Food was delicious, but it took a while to get our food and it wasn’t that hot when it finally came.
Service was very good. Wine recommended was as well. Food was good, but portions were small for the cost.
A few more options on menu, including appetizers, would have made this a 5. BEST salmon I've ever had!
Very good food, nice atmosphere but pretty expensive.
We were surprised at how good the food was. We had a table right by the pizza oven which was not ideal but we enjoyed it anyway. The mushroom pizza was delicious and just enough for two. The Caesar salad with anchovies was delicious and nicely split for us. We had a high top table but next time will make a reservation earlier to get a regular height table. The restaurant is a little pricey, but a nice experience.
Food was amazing, but our server didn’t check on us after our food was served until she wanted to know if we wanted dessert.
Outstanding meal! Everything is cooked from scratch and it tastes that way - great value for a great meal!
I think signage on the building, or on property by the street, is needed. No sign at all. We passed it and turned around. I let my friend out to go in an ask. When she got to door, a glass interior door had the name BRANCA on it.
Otherwise, very nice experience.
Our first time and we can now recommend!
We waited a bit to get a drink. The pizza was just OK. The ravioli special was good, but very small portion for the price! The noise factor seemed better than last time we were there. We won’t be hurrying back.
Good experience overall. Good food, great service and ambiance.
Great meal, beautiful presentation, great flavors
Excellent food. The bartender, Zach, was very nice to talk to before our dinner. He is knowledgable (but not pretentious) about wines. I shared that we'd spent several months in Italy, so he recommended a wine from Sardegna (Cannonau) and I was very happy with it. The server was also easy and attentive!
Nice atmosphere, very good food. Just take longer to get the food done, but it is worth waiting. It is a very nice place to take family and friends.
The bartender was fabulous but our server was not attentive and not personable (maybe she was having a bad day). Food was very good but pricey for the portions.
Had a wonderful date night at Branca. The house made ricotta was super delicious. Our server Jamie helped me decide on the butternut squash agnolotti, which was light but packed with flavor, it was perfect. Jamie was very informative and friendly without being intrusive. She really knew her stuff and helped me decide on wine as well. Service was quick without feeling rushed and ambiance is upscale but cozy. Thanks to everyone at Branca for a great night!
We sat and waited 20 minutes before we were even offered water. I was ready to finally leave when the waitress showed up. She was nice but clearly new. Another 15 mins for drinks to arrive. It wasn’t overwhelmingly busy. The food was good but the service/ wait time make the experience not as enjoyable.
Gnocchis portion was very small for the price.
Jamie was a great waitress. She was very friendly and helpful.
Enjoyed an excellent meal. Service was exceptional and prompt. Staff was polite and professional.
Green salad with white balsamic and complimentary salted bread was the highlight. Ricotta appetizer was good, needed some salt perhaps. Pizzas too thick on the outside for how flimsy they are in the middle. Seared lasagna was an odd dish. Wait staff has historically been either inattentive or aloof. Needs a spark. Atmosphere is dark, need some brightness.
We had reservations for Saturday night and was seated promptly. Service was good, except the server brought my husband the wrong appetizer. He wouldn’t let me say anything. My salmon was strong, but good. His pasta was more pasta and less veggies than he expected. Overall it was OK
We live close and frequent it. Love it all year round. Cozy in the winter. Wait staff nice. Delicious bread, homemade ricotta awesome, chicken cutlet delish and the Italian doughnuts (zeppole) are dope.
Food was good but service was very slow. The wait staff was good and was apologetic, but the kitchen needs to run more efficiently.
Pleasant atmosphere for conversation between two over dinner.
Not a good value, $15.00 salad comparable to the size of a side salad. My dinner companion ordered the salad thinking it would be her meal.
I ordered a pizza off the menu and asked to have chopped anchovies added, however, tiny bits of extremely fine crumbled sausage were added to my pizza. How does that get by the kitchen and our server?
The salt grinder that was delivered by our server did not work.
The drinks were pricey, 12.00 for an average glass of wine and 10.00 for a Milan Mule made with more ice than anything else.
We were traveling on New Year's Eve and found this restaurant near our hotel on Open Table. This place is amazing. The marinara is the best I have ever had--including New York or Boston. The pasta is house made and the zeppoli for dessert are excellent, as well. We also enjoyed the wine.
The service was terrible and the food took forever. Several larger parties who came after us were served and had left prior to our food arriving. No explanation but kaylee our waitress just kept popping back to see if we wanted more drinks. Doubtful that we will make this a top choice in the future. Also my reservation wasn’t honored for opentable points..,
This restaurant, close to our home, has been open for a couple years and we never went since we already had a couple of Italian places we like. But we finally made it - and loved it! The menu options are all a little out of the ordinary - from appetizers to entrees to desserts. Everything we ordered was nicely presented and delicious! Service was excellent. Special but not stuffy. Can be either casual or elegant Nice vegetarian options.
Food is good but service was nothing special...if restaurants are going to demand high prices both their food and service need to be exceptional, and this experience wasn’t to that standard.
We enjoyed the complimentary bread and butter. The selection of red wines by the glass were nothing special. The poached pear salad was very good. The scallop entree was excellent. We were very disappointed with the CAB aged ribeye. The cut of meat was quite fatty and grisly and it definitely did not taste like aged beef. The little deep fried donut balls with butterscotch and chocolate sauces that we had for dessert were probably the highlight of the meal.
Good food with a unique take on traditional items. Quiet enough to have a conversation. Cost was high so would recommend with that caveat.
Food cold and pricey for portions . Service mediocre and Servers attire did not match elegance of menu vs bar
