Bramble & Hare
Bramble & Hare has a lively, warm atmosphere in its intimate dining room. It is located in the heart of Boulder, CO, just off the historic Pearl Street Mall.
Hand-crafted, seasonal cocktails featuring artisanal spirits and local ingredients show the talent of our professional mixologists who make our bar spring to life.
The variety of produce and meats grown on their 500 acre certified Organic farm allows Chef Skokan a limitless palette of flavors, colors, and textures from which to build his award-winning cuisine. The Black Cat/Bramble & Hare team also forages wild produce (like mushrooms, juniper and wild plums) that root the restaurants' cuisine in the flavors unique to the Front Range region.
Came here before a show at Boulder theatre and loved it! Incredible, friendly staff that clearly love their restaurant and what they do. Thanks!
We loved our meals! Everything was so fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the service was wonderful. Can’t find a single negative. This is a must try place!
Went there for Mother’s Day. The food was great and the menu changes frequently as it is a Farm to Table restaurant. Chef was able to prepare something for my daughter as they don’t have a specific kid’s menu. She loved it. Great ambiance. Would recommend for foodies and families.
So relaxed and warm. Service was amazing! Food was delicious. Calm and paced 3 course meal. Passionfruit mousse layered cake was outstanding. Drinks were creative and scrumptious. Waiter answered our 97 questions with pleasure. Amazing graduation dinner with my out of town familia.
It was the perfect all around experience! The service, intimate setting, and ambient sound were ideal to have easy conversations with the others in my party. The cocktails were delicious, well crafted and varied in flavor. The food was well timed, and scrumptious. We will definitely be back!
Lovely. Waiter was just right, if slightly late to greet us when there were only 2 tables full.
Food was delicious but not knock your socks off. I had been about two years ago and remembered it was fabulous. Salmon tartare was delicious. Salad with lardons and nuts, delicious. Salmon with pepitas entree perfectly cooked and delicious. Panna cotta, meh. Strawberry mousse cake good. Not sure why on earth I am not raving. Definitely a first world problem. Perhaps it was what I ordered?; perhaps it was that nothing on the 3 course menu sounded that new?
Bramble & Hare continues to please. Great seasonal, farm fresh food presented in creative and tasty ways. This is our go-to for a relaxed evening out in Boulder.
Arrived on time for our reservation. We were seated at our table. Waited waited and waited. Servers were all by the bar talking with each other. No one came to our table until my husband finally went up to the bar and asked them to come to our table and get our drink order.
Overall very inattentive wait staff.
Salmon was very good. The ribs were fatty. The pork was good but the vegetables were terrible.
No one ever asked how our food was.
Overall, very disappointing experience. We brought our friends, who had never been there before, and I’m quite sure they will never go back.
Date night before an opera performance at CU. Great service, good bar, excellent food. Will definitely be back.
Everything was fantastic. The perfect date night.
Always amazing and Sam our waiter/bartender is a delight and continues to ake interest in ng and thoughtful drinks.
Excellent service, we dined quite late (around 9.30pm) so some of the options we wanted had actually sold out. Our server went above and beyond to offer a solution and managed to offer some meat options from their neighboring restaurant. The food was excellent and the restaurant itself has great ambiance. Highly recommend it
We had 3 small plates for the 2 of us. The food was excellent, we had a perfect table in the window. Izzy, our waitress, was excellent. The restaurant is cozy. I definitely recommend Bramble & Hare. I even ordered the chefs cookbook when I got home.
Atmosphere, quaintness, abounds at this location. The staff are extremely friendly, and somewhat organic in that they go with the flow in a way that you would love your servers and host to. The food was delicious, but is presented in an underwhelming way...snd so what, thats my snobbiness talking... great food and ambiance, so, highly recommended.
Cozy surroundings, love that it is small. It was possible for us to dine on a budget, with 2 small plates and lovely house red. Food was prepared and presented nicely, with savory sauces. Attentive service.
Best dinner we've had in years. Coming from SF, we expect great flavors and originality when splurging on a dinner. This hit all the marks. Pork belly small plate was a highlight, as was the cocktails (Yoga cocktail and a custom-made-and-delivered-by the bartender whiskey concoction). The service was friendly and insanely knowledgeable. It never felt stuffy. We ordered two desserts after realizing we didn't want to miss out on anything here! We will be back next time we're in Boulder!
Food and drinks were great. Knowledgeable and friend waitstaff (thanks Mike and Daniel!) and yay for gender neutral language and restrooms!
Small place with a welcoming atmosphere. We loved all the food, especially the charcuterie board.
Excellent service and delicious food in a very cozy, eclectic atmosphere. Hipster might describe it well, but not in a bad way? Ha. Food was so fresh and you could really feel the farm-to-table passion of everyone there — from the chef and bartender to the servers and hostess. Menu is limited because everything is based on ingredient seasonality, but they are incredibly accommodating to dietary restrictions and there will be at least something that anyone can eat. I had a salmon dish with greens and faro, which was absolutely wonderful. The cocktails have super funny names and all looked great. Wine selection is awesome too. Dessert was small, but DIVINE.
Bramble is absolutely crushing it. The charcuterie plate was unbelievable. The hoisin ham? Hooray! The drinks and wine list, as always, were creative and spot-on, as was the service. Bramble and Black Cat are the two best restaurants in Colorado.
The food was delicious, and we felt a good value in ordering the "Farm Dinner". Tapas are also offered for those wanting to dine lighter. Our server took excellent care of us, and the atmosphere is very cozy and pleasant with a better noise level than most Boulder restaurants.
I love this Hip and Delicious spot in Boulder!
We went for our anniversary and it was great. The food was unique and delicious and the surroundings were casual chic. The drinks were very expensive.
Great experience. Good food. Great service. The bartenders are always great to put something together for ypu
So wonderful. We were thrilled with the venue, handmade cocktails, fresh food, and lovely service.
The food has been hit or miss this year. You can tell the ingredients are outstanding....The cocktails are always amazing. I can never understand why the service at the black cat is superb while at the B&H it’s like you’re a bother.... I’ll try again, but I wouldn’t tell a friend
Went for my dad’s birthday. Great service, cocktails were phenomenal, small plates were big hits, plenty of options and accommodations for different dietary restrictions in our group (gluten free, no dairy, no meat, etc.). Overall a 10/10 experience.
Superb!! The food and service was EXCELLENT. You will not be disappointed.♡
It doesn't get better than Bramble in Boulder. No pretense, no nonsense, just the most convivial spot in Colorado. And most of the food is grown in Boulder County. Not only are the drinks, food, service and atmosphere over-the-top great — dining there also makes me feel great. The restaurant sends close to zero waste into the world. The farm improves soil and biodiversity. It's as good as it gets.
A most perfect evening! You were packed! And we were so pleasantly surprised that everything was wonderful! The food was excellent! Creative, beautifully presented, perfectly cooked. Timing was right on. The drink suggestions were wonderful and your wine suggestions were perfect. The service could not have been better! Thank you! We are from Dallas who has some of the best in the country and your restaurant is in that category. The best. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
I love that this is a small, quiet, and friendly place to have a nice conversation with your dinner companions. The food was fabulous and reminded me of my parents' garden and how good vegetables can taste. I wish it was in Evergreen.
Cozy and delicious. Old school type of care. Sprung it on them that it was my birthday (it was!!) and they gave us a delicious little cognac at the end of the meal. Perfect and generous!
At this point- probably not. Love the ambience and wait staff. Food was lacking.
Food was delicious. We had a larger group, may be better for smaller groups. More of an intimate setting.
Bramble and Hare was exactly the type of dining experience that I hoped it would be. My husband and I flew in from out of town to take our son and his girlfriend out to a special dinner for my son's birthday. The service at Bramble and Hare was top-notch; it was evident from the moment we were welcomed that the staff was there to please and to create a wonderful dining experience. As our waiter said, "We are here to say YES to your requests as often as we can."
The four of us were able to order a variety of small plates, entrees, and desserts. Everything we ordered was reasonably priced, beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. I particularly loved that I got to taste several vegetables, grains, and seasonings that I'd never tasted before.
I requested that the restaurant create a dairy-free birthday dessert for my son. They gladly honored my request and brought a panna cotta from their sister restaurant, Black Cat, which is next door. My son was delighted!
We will look forward to returning to Bramble and Hare when we are in the area again. We would love to visit the restaurant's farm, if it is open to the public.
We have been regular visitors to the Black Cat next door, and decided to try this more informal option when we saw that it was under the same management. We were disappointed.
We had one of the small plates, and it was good but not outstanding.
The rest of the menu offered 3 courses, with 3 options.
On the night we went, the 3 entrée choices were a curry, salmon, and pork. No one in our group of 6 was a fan of curry, so the group divided between salmon(very well prepared) and pork(unusual shredded preparation, which was dry, overcooked, and quite tasteless). The vegetables were very heavily seasoned with garlic.
Of the 3 dessert choices, one on the menu with chocolate was already sold out(at 8:30). We were then told that the cook would prepare a chocolate cake in its place. We waited for dessert so that the 2 members of the group who preferred chocolate could have it--it was dry and very ordinary. In contrast, the apple tart which had been prepared in advance was far superior.
We were surprised that adequate supplies of the 3 dessert choices had not been prepared in advance.
Cute, cozy, delicious.
I love Black Cat which is Bramble & Hare's sister restaurant and so was anxious to try B & H on a recent visit to Boulder. I had a very pleasant meal. I picked the vegetarian entree, a coconut curry roasted winter vegetable dish with spaghetti squash. It was quite good, but not memorable. The salad was pleasant but needed something to make it special. B & H is a very nice restaurant but is not nearly as fascinating as Black Cat.
Fantastic service and food!
