We choose this restaurant due to its cozy ambience and ''farm to table food''.
We made a reservation for 6 people and celebrated two birthdays.
Service was good and attentive. The food lacked a little bit of seasoning especially the beet salad. Two of us ordered the salmon entree dish which tasted ok, 3 hours later we both ended up in the bathroom with the worst food poisining. I did call the restaurant the following day to let them know but not much was said or done besides '' we are sorry''. Unfortunatley, we won't be returning due to this experience.
Awesome service, well paced and not intrusive but also attentive. Food and drinks were delicious—food is so lovely and fresh and flavorful, and a little bit goes a long way. Apps were so good we had little room left for our mains, so brought them home. Thank you Bramble and Hare!!!
Great experience, food was wonderful! Highly recommend!
I honestly thought the location was an old Hallmark or thrift store from the outside- probably because it’s next door to the chocolate place. We almost walked past it!
I LOVE that it was like a secret space.
Completely unassuming from the outside and amazing on the inside.
Quaint and perfect.
Unique and special.
The host was lovely with our greeting and considering I was still exhausted from traveling from CA in a car with two kids, he made me belly laugh and feel welcomed.
Everyone was warm and welcoming.
The Prix fix menu- that surprised us with the dinner portions- was seasonal and everything we chose fit our belly moods and tastebuds.
Highly suggest the squash blossoms and the pork belly appetizer choices along with the salmon and pork for the dinner option if those are the menu options when you experience your dinner.
The cocktails were crafted perfectly.
Reminded me a LOT of The Violet Hour in chicago where we are currently moving back to right now.
The lamb, fava bean appetizer and cheesecake were delicious. In addition they had an orange wine that was excellent. This is only the second I’ve been to B & H and once to Black Cat and each meal was perfect. We will definitely return!
Excellent meal! The food was fresh and delicious. It is a small menu but has something for everyone. The staff was also kind and accommodating. The restaurant had a cute laid back vibe. We could not have loved it more. Highly recommend.
Food and Service were both incredible. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.
If you haven't been to Bramble & Hare since Covid, you haven't been to Bramble & Hare. Led by chefs Heraclio and Nikki, the restaurant has the cozy, warm, comforting ambience of "old Bramble", with a menu coming from "old Black Cat's" chefs and kitchen. It's certainly the best of both worlds! The food is incredible, with a menu that still changes based on what's come from the farm that day. The bar is better than ever. Although the cocktails on the menu are fabulous, I recommend just telling the bartender your favorite spirit and letting them make their art. Bramble is somehow the perfect restaurant for a first date, an important business client, or a casual spot to unwind after a hard day.
(If you're nostalgic for "old Black Cat," don't despair! If there was any way to make Black Cat even better, it would be to move the dinners right out to the farm in beautiful private cabanas. Spoiler alert: check out Black Cat Farm Dinners!)
This place was perfect in every way. They
Have fabulous food, friendly staff, and a nice intimate atmosphere. If I lived closer, i would go often.
Excellent food and service. A bit pricey but worth it!
Been a few times. Always great good and staff is excellent.
The staff and the food was incredible! I would absolutely recommend for any farm to table occasion!
Food was okay but not great. For $200 (including a bottle of wine, tax and tip) I expect better. Salmon was good but lamb was disappointing. Profiteroles were small with almost no filling. Walnut crusted cheesecake seemed to lack walnuts. Ambiance very nice and service excellent — chefs need to up their game.
We were sat at a table that had no ambiance next to a wall. While my husband was comfortable, I was not. Also, it was super cold. The food for the price was meh.
Cozy, electic decor with great service. I had the pork belly appetizer and lamb main course. Although lamb was tasty would have preferred it in thicker slices, too thin for my personal taste.
I will definitely go back.
Wonderful meal & service! We are vegetarians and the three course meal was perfect!
The food here is never disappoints. I have always done the chiefs choice and it is great. This time we had 4 people and we just share all the dishes between us. No complaints, everything was very good. This is not a place that if you already have something in mind to eat. I think it is best to go with an open mind and try something new.
Farm to table food was delicious and such a great value for a preset 3 course meal. Service was wonderful. The kitchen was a little slow getting the food out, but this was quickly made up for with complimentary rose. Can't wait to go back!
Great food - excellent quality and quantity. However, service was super slow, which made the experience way overpriced.
Very delicious dinner. Fresh, local food. Great wine and drinks. Wonderful staff. Can't wait to return.
A wonderful farm-to-table restaurant with kind, knowledgeable staff and delicious meals. I am not an expert on pork, but I understand that the Mulefoot breed of pork raised on the chef's farm and served in this restaurant is hard to find in general -- it's nice to have the opportunity to try it.
Cocktails, salad and dessert were awesome. Cute little place. Radishes were the best I’ve ever had. Super fresh and great concept of a restaurant. I definitely recommend!
Because there was a very low level of air conditioning on what was a very hot day and evening in Boulder, the restaurant was not comfortable for any of us. We kept expecting things would cool down, but it never did. I mentioned on my Open Table reservation that we were celebrating 2 birthdays. There was no acknowledgment or inquiry about it it as is usually done, yet another table had cake/candles for a birthday celebration. Frankly, as someone who has dined here over the years , always receiving over the top service, I was surprised. I said nothing. The start up after the pandemic closings seems to be changing expectations everywhere about service as new people are trained. The food and drinks were outstanding and the service was attentive otherwise. I'm still a huge fan of B&H and all things Black Cat, despite these comments and would still highly recommend it.
My wife doesn’t like cauliflower but she liked my cauliflower entree. Overall, the veggies and lamb tasted wonderful!
Overall a fantastic meal! Our server had some trouble cutting the foil on our wine bottle which caused some awkwardness, and later stopped by and poured without even motioning to see if we wanted more, but both of those are nitpicking and did not diminish our overall experience.
The food was amazing. Go with your waitress’s recommendation, you won’t regret it (I was hesitating between 2 dessert and followed what she said. My husband's dessert was good, mine was phenomenal). My only complaint would be that the music was a bit loud for a cosy, romantic restaurant.
Amazing food. Would definitely come here again for special occasions :)
Great atmosphere and service! The food quality was outstanding.
Fantastic 3-course dinner (food was truly memorable) and the service was knowledgeable and attentive.
Lovely dinner and well worth the price. Great delicious meal for a vegetarian and a meat eater alike! Server was helpful with wine selection, 10/10 overall
Amazing evening! Christina was so engaging and the drinks and food too notch
really bad service one of the worst experiences i have ever had. the food was great but they rushed our meal and were rude and do not understand how to corse a meal and made us feel like a transaction. spent over 400 for two people. and still was made to feel like we were wasting there time. will never go back and suggest you go somewhere else
I absolutely loved the meal and the service. The area where we were seated was small and had particularly nice soft lighting, which really added to the nice date-night feeling. The waitress was really friendly and helpful, and overall we had a wonderful time. Can't wait to go back!
Great example of farm to table goodness
Bramble & Hare always has such unique food creations and it's all farm to table. And their cocktails are awesome.
We were seated in a two-top in what was a side hallway -- dark and chairs were cracked leather. I would rather have been seated anywhere else. Not sure what the rationale would be for anyone wanting to be seated at this location, plus the cracked torn leather was not a good feel on my thigh! Not really great for a $140 tab. We try to support all restraurants in Boulder and since B & H reopened, I thought I'd make it a point to be there for a Mother's Day weekend dinner. But not likely returning there anytime soon. Fix or replace those chairs! NOT at all charming!
Delicious and very filling vegan options! Even though there wasn't a vegan option for dessert, the chef made us a rich chocolate, pumpkin cake. In addition to the food, both the cocktails and service were phenomenal.
Great place to go for an excellent meal!
B&H is one of my Wife and I's favorite places to have dinner and we are super happy that they are open again. The menu is ever changing based on what is in season and the dishes are always terrific. What really sets Bramble apart from all the other good restaurants in Boulder is the staff. They are a big part of making the experience.

Bramble & Hare's return is thrilling. The food is superb, the beverage menu is intriguing and wonderful and the hospitality is warm and professional. The new Bramble was our first night out since COVID landed more than a year ago. We are so glad we reentered the world of dining with Bramble. Spectacular!
