Bramble & Hare
Bramble & Hare has a lively, warm atmosphere in its intimate dining room. It is located in the heart of Boulder, CO, just off the historic Pearl Street Mall.
Hand-crafted, seasonal cocktails featuring artisanal spirits and local ingredients show the talent of our professional mixologists who make our bar spring to life.
The variety of produce and meats grown on their 500 acre certified Organic farm allows Chef Skokan a limitless palette of flavors, colors, and textures from which to build his award-winning cuisine. The Black Cat/Bramble & Hare team also forages wild produce (like mushrooms, juniper and wild plums) that root the restaurants' cuisine in the flavors unique to the Front Range region.
I love this Hip and Delicious spot in Boulder!
We went for our anniversary and it was great. The food was unique and delicious and the surroundings were casual chic. The drinks were very expensive.
Great experience. Good food. Great service. The bartenders are always great to put something together for ypu
So wonderful. We were thrilled with the venue, handmade cocktails, fresh food, and lovely service.
The food has been hit or miss this year. You can tell the ingredients are outstanding....The cocktails are always amazing. I can never understand why the service at the black cat is superb while at the B&H it’s like you’re a bother.... I’ll try again, but I wouldn’t tell a friend
Went for my dad’s birthday. Great service, cocktails were phenomenal, small plates were big hits, plenty of options and accommodations for different dietary restrictions in our group (gluten free, no dairy, no meat, etc.). Overall a 10/10 experience.
Superb!! The food and service was EXCELLENT. You will not be disappointed.♡
It doesn't get better than Bramble in Boulder. No pretense, no nonsense, just the most convivial spot in Colorado. And most of the food is grown in Boulder County. Not only are the drinks, food, service and atmosphere over-the-top great — dining there also makes me feel great. The restaurant sends close to zero waste into the world. The farm improves soil and biodiversity. It's as good as it gets.
A most perfect evening! You were packed! And we were so pleasantly surprised that everything was wonderful! The food was excellent! Creative, beautifully presented, perfectly cooked. Timing was right on. The drink suggestions were wonderful and your wine suggestions were perfect. The service could not have been better! Thank you! We are from Dallas who has some of the best in the country and your restaurant is in that category. The best. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
I love that this is a small, quiet, and friendly place to have a nice conversation with your dinner companions. The food was fabulous and reminded me of my parents' garden and how good vegetables can taste. I wish it was in Evergreen.
Cozy and delicious. Old school type of care. Sprung it on them that it was my birthday (it was!!) and they gave us a delicious little cognac at the end of the meal. Perfect and generous!
At this point- probably not. Love the ambience and wait staff. Food was lacking.
Food was delicious. We had a larger group, may be better for smaller groups. More of an intimate setting.
Bramble and Hare was exactly the type of dining experience that I hoped it would be. My husband and I flew in from out of town to take our son and his girlfriend out to a special dinner for my son's birthday. The service at Bramble and Hare was top-notch; it was evident from the moment we were welcomed that the staff was there to please and to create a wonderful dining experience. As our waiter said, "We are here to say YES to your requests as often as we can."
The four of us were able to order a variety of small plates, entrees, and desserts. Everything we ordered was reasonably priced, beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. I particularly loved that I got to taste several vegetables, grains, and seasonings that I'd never tasted before.
I requested that the restaurant create a dairy-free birthday dessert for my son. They gladly honored my request and brought a panna cotta from their sister restaurant, Black Cat, which is next door. My son was delighted!
We will look forward to returning to Bramble and Hare when we are in the area again. We would love to visit the restaurant's farm, if it is open to the public.
We have been regular visitors to the Black Cat next door, and decided to try this more informal option when we saw that it was under the same management. We were disappointed.
We had one of the small plates, and it was good but not outstanding.
The rest of the menu offered 3 courses, with 3 options.
On the night we went, the 3 entrée choices were a curry, salmon, and pork. No one in our group of 6 was a fan of curry, so the group divided between salmon(very well prepared) and pork(unusual shredded preparation, which was dry, overcooked, and quite tasteless). The vegetables were very heavily seasoned with garlic.
Of the 3 dessert choices, one on the menu with chocolate was already sold out(at 8:30). We were then told that the cook would prepare a chocolate cake in its place. We waited for dessert so that the 2 members of the group who preferred chocolate could have it--it was dry and very ordinary. In contrast, the apple tart which had been prepared in advance was far superior.
We were surprised that adequate supplies of the 3 dessert choices had not been prepared in advance.
Cute, cozy, delicious.
I love Black Cat which is Bramble & Hare's sister restaurant and so was anxious to try B & H on a recent visit to Boulder. I had a very pleasant meal. I picked the vegetarian entree, a coconut curry roasted winter vegetable dish with spaghetti squash. It was quite good, but not memorable. The salad was pleasant but needed something to make it special. B & H is a very nice restaurant but is not nearly as fascinating as Black Cat.
Fantastic service and food!
We went back here for date night and had such a wonderful time. The manager went out of his way to ensure that we had a great experience. The food was exceptionally delicious, the service was excellent, and we loved the ambiance. We will be definitely coming back again for years to come. Thank you again♡
Food was great, service excellent. Only complaint was the martini was served in a small champagne saucer, ridiculous in size and appearance. Have seen this trend in other places, skimpy and overpriced.
Bramble and Hare is one of my favorites in Boulder, which has no lack of good restaurants. The menu changes daily and is always creative and well-planned. But the cocktails are the star - with quirky names and unexpected ingredients. Get the 3-course prix fixe for the best value.
loved this place! service was impeccable and made us feel at home. food was prepared perfectly and everyone in our party loved it.
We went for New Years and knew there was a set tasting menu, but all in all, we were not impressed. Fine dinning, literally meant, our meal was 'fine,' but for the cost, so not worth it. The best example of the so-so quality of food, had to be dessert; the only option was a stale, super-hard cookie, with marshmallow, and covered in seized chocolate. It was too big to eat in one bite, but impossible to cut, and a Nabisco's Mallomars would have been better. Besides the fact the food was 'egh, at best,' the service was slow... And before you say, "it was New Years, and they must have been busy," no. It was so cold and snowy, they had a ton of cancellation.
We will not be going back and with all the other options in Boulder, I would recommend going somewhere else.
they were out of everything that we wanted to order. and its pretty expensive
Bramble and Hare was recommended to me by a friend and I’m so glad I listened to them! What a great place! Mike, our server, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. His suggestions were spot on and he was attentive without being obnoxious. The atmosphere is upscale casual and has a fun vibe. Will definitely go there again.
Bramble is our second favorite restaurant in Colorado — second to its sister restaurant, Black Cat. The service is superb, the craft in the kitchen and the bar is unparalleled, the atmosphere is utterly inviting and charming. It's a must.
Very reasonable and understanding management! Can’t wait to try Bramble and Hare!
Always love our nights out to Bramble & Hare.
Menu is limited, but alway delicious and satisfying.
Cocktails are fun and superb.
The service and atmosphere are among our favorites in Boulder for parents night out with one or two other couples. Highly recommend.
Great ambiance, great cocktails, knowledgeable server and outstanding food.
Our new favorite Date Night location! I must have said "I love this place!" a dozen times during the evening. Everything was FUN! The bartender created drinks for us, the small plates were perfect for sharing, the waitstaff was attentive and smiling. Best of all ... conversation friendly! We didn't have to scream into each others' ears like "some places" in Boulder we've been to. All in all, we'll be back!!!
Outstanding dining experience! I brought my family here from out of town, and all left impressed. Our server was patient, knowledgeable, and embodied what great service should look like. The food was inventive and utilized seasonal ingredients in deliciously inventive ways. Cocktails were inspired and unique.
This is an intimate and cozy restaurant that offers the freshest ingredients with creative flavors. As skeptical as I was about a few of the dishes we ordered (such as the "deconstructed" pumpkin pie), everything tasted amazing and incredibly well-balanced. Will definitely be taking guests here from now on.
I am a regular here and usually come away quite happy inspired. The very few times I don’t it is because the limited menu items that night just didn’t click. Didn’t mean they were not great, just not my taste that evening. Because of the overall track record and the unique and high-level of mixology, I ignore such minor things that are not on a given evening just right. So when dining here, you have to set expectations at a different level. Don’t expect big portions and lots of choices. The tiny (and I mean tiny) kitchen focuses somewhat Euro-style on a few well-crafted menu items, as was the case when I was last there. Although the staff is above par, the bartenders are the rock stars here. Bramble fits my guiding principle of “few things, small quantities but exceptional quality.” You savor the amalgamation of flavor infusions in the tiny drinks vs. swill them down. (So not for beer chugging football types after a CU game). If you are a typical beer or wine drinker, I advise you to at least start the night with one of their cocktails. Ask them to do something unique if what is on the drink menu doesn’t click for that is a mixologists compliment.
We had a wonderful thanksgiving meal. Exec Excellent offerings. Thank you!
Food and service where excellent for Thanksgiving meal. The price was a bit high.
I was a bit underwhelmed. We were the first table seated at 5pm, and we had our order in quickly, but it still took 90 minutes from start to end. But from what I can tell it's one guy pushing food out of a tiny kitchen. The food itself tastes ok, but a bit pricy for what you get.
Loved the atmosphere! Warm and welcoming. Sensual and cozy. My paoched wild salmon dish was very yummy. Mac and cheese and onion soup could have both used a bit more spice/ flavor. Delicious bottle of wine. Not inexpensive, but worth a special nite out. Doni was a great server. Will go back for sure.
First time visiting Bramble & Hare - I loved it! The menu is inventive and fresh, the servers were all knowledgeable and friendly, and the ambiance is cozy. New favorite little spot.
Wonderful service, food, and ambiance. Truly love this place and its a gem in Boulder.
Outstanding restaurant with a creative and eclectic menu. My wife and I have enjoyed every meal immensely.
