The food tastes like an upscale Swanson microwave dinner, very disappointing.
going to show @ heinz hall; waiter kept disappearing; other wait staff & hostess standing around doing nothing; terrible service waited 20 minutes for drinks; food was greasy & mediocre; resturant manager came by twice with same excuse ie crowd came before show @ heinz hall; didn’t offer to buy drink or food item; scratch that off the list
The service was slightly slow but the food was very good. The pierogi could have been cooked slightly longer as they has a bit too much tooth, but, the scallops we're absolutely perfect.
Drinks were great - food good as well - price point a bit high on the whole...
We've been going to Braddock's for several years and always found it acceptable, sometimes great. The rehab a few years ago, adding more booths, was an upgrade. But lately the prices have gone up to a point I am reluctant to pay. Salads are approaching $10, appetizers are all over $10 and main courses are mostly in the $30+ range. The food is very good, but not knock-you-socks-off great which is what I expect for those prices. Our server said their is a new chef in the kitchen who plans a complete redo of the menu. So I'll try it once more to see how he changes things.
Delicious food & great service!
More expensive than Open Table says it is. Food was very good.
great place before the Pirate game.....waiter was very attentive and food was good....thank you
All was better than good, but not fantastic. The service was very attentive and nice. The food was a mixed bag. Avoid the corn risotto. Deserts were not great. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. The appetizers were excellent.
We were in the city celebrating a birthday and stayed at the hotel. This restaurant is located inside the Renaissance Hotel and that made it so convenient to have a nice dinner before heading to the theater. Our meals were tasty and the service was very good. They offered a free birthday dessert, but since I'm unable to eat desserts with my dietary restrictions, they gave me a free glass of wine! We had eaten here before with a friend who is vegetarian and she was able to find something on the menu that she enjoyed.
Delicious menu! Waiter was attentive, but not intrusive. We were a little bit on the clock due to symphony tickets, and everything worked out to perfection! Great for conversation, as it's not loud! Very nice.
A wonderful place to dine before a concert or theater.
The BEST waitress, Autumn, who always makes our dining special.
Wonderful meal! I'd go back just for the beet salad with fried goat cheese. The filet was wonderful and my 10 year old niece ate every bite. My mom had salmon that was excellent. Service was pleasant and efficient...and what's not to love about the Renaissance??!?
Not the run of the mill Pgh. restaurant. There are some creative dishes, i.e. pork duo, beet goat cheese salad and others. The sweet potato hash is outstanding. The service is attentive and cheerful and the food is reasonably priced.
The wine list needs updated. The 2006 Chateauneuf-du-Pape ended up being the 2014 Cotes du Rhone and a 2013 Napa Cabernet came out as a 2015 California Cabernet; only the wineries were the same. I felt the price mark-up for wine by the bottle or glass is too high. For example, $16 for a glass of wine that sells retail in PA at $19 or $88 for a bottle that retails at $29.
The atmosphere is very good and it close to cultural district events and parking lots. I would return here for dinner.
Braddock’s is our favorite restaurant in the cultural district. Consistently great food and good service! I am always surprised that it does not attract more diners. It really is a hidden gem!
The service was just terrible. We sat for 20 mins before our drink order was taken. I had to practically body tackle the waiter to get him to stop and offer refills. Even catching his eye didn’t work. He would just keep on moving. Our glasses stood empty half the time.
The food was mediocre, at best, and thoroughly disappointing, at worst. The duo of pork looked like it was tossed on the plate by a prison cook. The portions were unacceptable for the price.
The cocktails were okay. Overpriced, but not outrageously so.
We won’t be back. There are far better options closeby.
I would not recommend this Resteraunt for anyone. The food was cold/burned and flavorless. Worst food I have had In a long time
Nice lunch menu. Very accommodating staff (we needed a booth as some in the party are hearing impaired, so they quickly set one up). The waiter was very accommodating and his suggestions were spot on.
Great place for lunch before a matinee.
One of the best breakfast buffets in Pittsburgh! Excellent omelette chef on Sundays. Perfectly made mimosas.
I come here for the Prince Edward Island Mussels. Always well prepared.
Fabulous service, fabulous food and a winning ambiance to boot!
Tiffany was wonderful!!!
Nice menu but food was a little disappointing (we had fish & chips) which was dry and tasteless. Appetisers were very good and service was excellent!
Nice, quiet and don't have to yell at your dinner companions! Nice menu and good service. Though the last time I was not happy with my food (first time after MANY visits)it was back to "normal" this time---must have been an inexperienced chef last time. Anyway, it's very comfortable and so convenient to theater and symphony. Wait staff very nice and accommodating.
This place was fine. It was overpriced, and the food was kind of underwhelming, but we had a good time anyway. I probably won't go back, but I wouldn't tell people to stay away.
Cold atmosphere. Menu overall kind of boring but with few spikes of original and exciting choices. Plates well prepared and cooked. Good presentation. Nice drinks. A bit overpriced.
Did not like one of the waiters attitude. Did not understand what is the picture of the restaurant of here on the app. You can see a restaurant front with glass windows facing the street, when the restaurant is inside the Hotel Lobby with no view.
Cool restaurant in beautiful Renaissance Hotel. When we went, they were pretty empty but the food took forever and wasn't very good. They burned the toasted hamburger buns and the burgers were very dry. Too bad because it's a nice looking place.
Braddock's is located in the Renaissance Hotel. It's a great brunch option in downtown, but the buffet food wasn't the quality we'd hoped it would be. The service was excellent. It's a great choice for those staying in the hotel, but Pittsburgh has many better options.
It was loud because a wedding reception was in the lobby.
The only potential problem we had is when arriving for our 430 reservation we were told that the restaurant did not open until 5. There was another party who like us also had a 430 reservation.
There were servers there and we were seated. However it seems there is a serious problem with the online reservation process.
Had a spinach salad with grilled shrimp that was fabulous. Attentive wait staff, and comfortable seating. Easy to walk there before theater.
No a very good dining experience. Out of four people, one had an acceptable dinner. One person suffered digestive track problems, one could not even eat the salad - too much rosemary in dressing, the third had the daily special which was served with hardly any of the relish advertised and cold vegetables and the fourth person ordered a sandwich from the bar menu - it was the best. Skip the Brasserie.
Service was very good - we had limited time pre-theater and our server responded. I would have liked more vegetarian entree options, but a salad worked out well although they forgot the goat cheese and it took a while to get that rectified. Overall the food was good.
Wonderful, wonderful, will definitely be returning!!!!
Place was mostly empty on a Saturday evening. Very cavernous space. My crab cakes were soggy; should have returned them to kitchen. Prices are high.
The food was way overpriced for the portion we received. The food was tasty as was dessert but I would not return.
Took my team to lunch and made the reservation through Open Table.
We arrived at 11:30am and the restaurant was fairly quiet and empty.
All 9 team members placed their orders with a very attentive waiter.
The food arrived in about 30 minutes hot and flavorful.
The team thoroughly enjoyed the food and the restaurant was quiet enough to have lively conversation.
Highly recommend stopping in.
Accommodated children, provided roses for mothers. Very nice touch
Mother's day brunch was a success. My wife, mother of three, was very happy with the ambiance and the food. The pictures online did not do justice to this restaurant. It was beautiful and the buffet was delicious. Would recommend.
Ridiculously overpriced Mother’s Day buffet! What a poor choice on my part. Will never go back- Grand Concourse next time for sure. Food- almost zero flavor. Service- mediocre at best.
