Quiet, relaxed atmosphere that allowed for dinner conversation. Lovely waiting area with an unusual skylight. Food was amazing all around the table. Try the chocolate espresso crusted pork. Melt in your mouth deliciousness! This was quite a treat!

Waitress was excellent but the seats were a little uncomfortable. Host sat us earlier than our reservation was scheduled for so it may have been our earliness that got us in an uncomfortable seat. All in all, guest service was exceptional!

I had a breakfast meeting with a client and we needed to be close to everything downtown. This was the perfect spot. The staff were friendly and very accommodating to our requests. The food was delicious!

First time picked for a pre-theater dinner. Location was a wise selection for our evening at the Byham. Enjoyed the location, waiter and the food. The only disappointment was in the dessert area.

The food was absolutely fantastic (ordered pierogies, duck, pork belly) and the cocktails were great. There is a bar menu with stardard priced bar fare and a restaurant menu that ran around $30 per plate. Overall we had a great experience, but the place was pretty quiet for a Saturday night. For the food alone, I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I enjoyed wonderful salads preparing us for delicious entrees...he, the salmon and I , potato gnocchi with lobster. The half portion was plenty for me. Our waiter Justin was a joy.

Came here pre Pops Concert and was very pleased with the food and beverages. My husband loved the signature drink "the chief". We started off with the short rib pierogis...yum. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the charcuterie plate. (Have to agree with the previous review-not presented well). I loved the beet and goat cheese salad. I also had the lobster and gnocchi with asparagus and peas. Every last bite was tasty. The cappuccino hit the spot with the mousse and brownie in a Mason jar we shared. Our waiter was very personable but a bit rushed.

Few places in town to have an early Saturday brunch but Braddock's in the Renaissance worked well. We enjoyed our brunch. Food was great and service was excellent!

We were going to a nearby theater and thought this would be convenient and we were able to get a last minute reservation.

We were the only ones there on our arrival. My wine was excellent as well as my house salad. The short rib pierogis were a little dried out but the sauce was tasty. My husband's meal of salmon and succotash appeared overdone and dry. Overall, the food was nothing special.

How can a restaurant like Braddock's run out of Filet Mignon? The whole reason I selected Braddock's was to have a Filet. While they substituted a ribeye (which was very well prepared), is there really a substitute for Filet?

A bit of a let down. Chose because fairly close to my hotel. It should have been made clearer that this is a restaurant inside the Renaissance Hotel.
Food just ok, wine by the glass way over-priced. Dining room was cavernous, dark and empty.
Wait staff was great though and place has potential to be good.

I planned a surprise dinner for my girlfriend's birthday and everything went very well. We went at Friday around 6pm and it was not busy at all. The hotel lobby where the restaurant is was gorgeous, although the restaurant itself was a little tricky to find since it is separated from the main bar. It was Pittsburgh Restaurant Week and they provided a special menu for that. The food was above average and the prices were good. In addition to the food, the cocktail and bar menu was pretty good and reasonably priced. While not my favorite downtown restaurant, it was good for a group since it wasn't too loud and spacious for everyone. I would certainly recommend before a sporting event if you want something that is better than bar food. They also had a little candle on the dessert for my girlfriend's birthday which was a nice touch!

We went for brunch and the menu had a lot of variety. Reuben sandwich was enormous and very tasty. The breakfast buffet was good except the pierogies were dry and overdone. The omelet station was unattended for 10 minutes despite numerous staff noticing me standing there. Then after finding the hostess it was another 5 minutes before chef appeared. When I finally got my omelet it was very good. Our waiter was wonderful!

Diner at the Braddock American Brasserie was very nice. The space was traditionally appointed as an American Inn, booth was comfortable. The service was friendly and efficient, letting us enjoy our meal like a local "yinzer". The menu was thoughtful and creative, specials were a taste of the future menu which promises to be even more current. Roasted pheasant and veal were very carefully crafted. Perogies savory appetizers and, yes, sweet dessert were excellent. A half order of Charcuterie was excellent and enough for four as an app. It is well worth the trip downtown to enjoy a meal here.
Sadly a rain delay at the Pirates game brought a crowd into the lobby, including a father who allowed many screaming children to play wiffle-ball there, this was not dealt with in a timely manner by managerial staff. Pre-dinner cocktail Prosecco was old and flat and returned.
Despite these minor issues the night was enjoyable.

Located in the Renaissance Hotel in the Cultural District. If you are staying at the hotel, don't bother looking elsewhere for a restaurant. This is it!! Also, worth a look even if you aren't staying. A great place for a pre-theatre dinner. Breakfast is fantastic as well. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is incredible and original. Highly recommend.

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Braddock's and it was a great meal from start to finish. Our server Justin was fantastic, he was prompt and very knowledgeable about the menu.
The short rib pierogi are always a favorite of ours as well as the goat cheese and beet salad. I tried the bacon wrapped veal with spaetzle and was very happy with it. Thank you Braddock's for making our special day even better.

This was our first dining experience at Braddock's and we were not disappointed.
Appetizer of braised short ribs pierogis and entrée of mussels "Pittsburgh" were unique and tasty. Crab cakes were better than what you can get on the Strip.
Service was friendly and attentive.

I read alot of positive reviews which is why I picked this restaurant but the food was a little disappointing. Pasta was too rich, the spinach salad had too much dressing. It's a beautiful hotel architecturally and so is the restaurant. So there's that. Service was excellent

I don't normally write reviews but I had to in this case because all of our meals were pretty bad. My family and I were out celebrating Father's Day with my parents. The meals looked good on paper but when we got them they were not good. I tried everyone's dish and this is not a case where one was bad and the rest not. All the dishes were in need of salt, and in general flavor. My daughter's pasta gave a bad aftertaste. I would not cone back here again. The servers were very nice and attentive- probably the only good thing I can say.

Braddock's is a dependable spot in Pittsburgh's Cultural District. Not terribly exciting or innovative, but they have some good offerings and a wide range of choices like most hotel restaurants. I always find it unfortunate that they do not have their own private restrooms. You must head into the lobby and upstairs to reach them.
