Celebrated our anniversary here & had the best meal! Our server was very attentive & recommended a great bottle of wine. Would definitely recommend for any special occasion!

We are a repeat customer of Bowdies and typically have a very good experience. This is a hard place to get into so when we do it's always meant to be a treat to ourselves and/or a special occasion. Food was great as always but it needs to be great given the price point and caliber of this restaurant. Our waiter was great. Were this visit wasn't as great as past visits was at the end of our night. A manager approached our table to awkwardly suggest that if we had a good experience and were happy that we needed to vacate our table for the next guests quoting that the restaurant was such a popular place, etc. We were sitting at a two top table outdoors in an area where almost every table was empty at that moment waiting for the next round of reservations. We had been at our reservation for a little over 90 minutes, the last 10 minutes of which was waiting for our bill to come back so we could sign and leave. To be clear, we weren't unhappy or upset with our waiter, just the facts. The odd many in which the manager approached us left us feeling unwelcomed, underappreciated, and just not great. We spent $300 for two people and have probably been to Bowdies in Saugatuck no less than 20 times over the last 10 years. Sure enough, the next couple was sitting at our table about as fast as we could gather our things and leave. I run a business too so I get it. How about offering to move us to the bar or another table? How about sitting the other couple at any of the other tables that were open within 10 feet of us. How about a sincere "thank you" before asking us to vacate our table. We'll probably be back at some point but this is the kind of thing that makes long standing customers try a new restaurant or two in the area first.

Our actual rating is 4.5 and we would have given a solid 5 except the time between our appetizer and entree was a bit too long. Food and service was outstanding! Filet mignon was worth the wait, probably one of the best we've had!

Excellent filets and sides, as always, Kitchen was behind, our dinner came at 7pm (res was at 5pm, no starters or soup/salad, just entrees and sides for four people. Thought that the table could be turned more often. Very disappointed at the slow pacing. Thank you!

Depends on the night. We have had great food and service but have also waited three hours for average to poor food quality.

2nd time at Bowdies-Saugatuck. 10/10 once again. Everyone is so kind and accommodating. They treat you like a true guest and not just like another customer that’s walking in their doors. Wine, cocktail- amazing! Mushrooms, truffle fries and steaks were cooked to perfection! Thanks Bowdies for making our anniversary dinner so special! Almost forgot to mention they served us champagne immediately (on the house) to congratulate us!

One of the best steaks I have ever had and the side of au gratin potatoes are memorable!!! Great service. We dined outside, so people watching was fun and it was a beautiful evening. Highly recommend for the special evening.
