Bourbon Steak – Santa Clara
Great Place to have an amazing time. I love the place.
I've been a HUGE fan of the D.C. Bourbon Steak for about 8 years now and go there every time I'm in town. I was in Santa Clara this past week and needed a place for dinner on Thursday night so I was quite excited when I saw that there was a Bourdon Steak in the Forty Niner stadium. The meal started off great with the trio of flavored duck fat fries and dipping sauces which were as good as ever. Unfortunately, that's where the goodness stopped. I ordered my favorite ribeye and truffle mac n'cheese. The ribeye in D.C. is probably one of the best that I've ever had in my life. This one, was one of the most average ones I've ever had. No flavor, rather tough, just blah. The mac n'cheese tasted like something out of a box and I think they might've forgotten to put the truffle oil in as I sure didn't taste it. What a disappointing meal when I had such high expectations. The one highlight of the evening was the service which was fantastic. Kudos to the service staff there. I hope Mr. Mina checks in on them and rights the ship or else they won't be open much longer. Looking forward to my next trip back to the Bourbon Steak in D.C.
Service was very good, but the food was more about sounding good then actually tasting good. Smoked burratta sounds great but the taste was quite off putting. The lobster pot pie should not be a speciality here or anywhere. Just not a great experience and we eat at a lot of very nice restaurants. We wouldn’t come back when in the area.
This place was so good. I didn't realize it was at Levi Stadium when i first found it. I was worried it was too casual but they have two sides. We were on the formal steak house side. The food was phenomenal. Its a pretty expensive place but our waiter was so honest. He said the best steak here is the Skirt Steak which is one of the cheaper steaks but he was right it was delicious. Brussels Sprouts were excellent too and the dessert was to die for! All the servers were friendly. Ours was great! Lastly there was music playing Every song had me bouncing and moving around in my chair!!
Would definitely eat there again
I came here for Valentine's Day and had a great time! From the music selection to the food to the wine pairings. Everything was perfect. Their entire Valentine's Day special menu had just the right variety for any food lover. Btw, the Wagyu steak was absolutely amazing! The cost was on the higher end, but was worth every penny. Thanks for an awesome time! P.S. Go Niners!!
Great food, great service expect to pay $100 per person but I felt that it was worth the money. Took my son there on a Friday night so we could wait out the traffic and and a fantastic time.
This was my third time dining at Bourbon Steak and I had a blast of an experience! The food was absolutely outstanding and delicious!!!! The service was exceptional and I look forward to dining there again!
Good but bit pricy
We just stopped by, but Atmosphere, service and food everythings just great!
This is the first time I have ever written a bad review, but this was really bad. My spouse and I were both ill as a result of our dinner. I called the restaurant and they gave me the general manager’s voicemail. I explained the situation and asked for a call back, because I have never had to report such a thing. I did not get a return call. We spent almost $600 including tip for two. I really wanted to handle this privately, but apparently they are too busy to deal with their issues. I have eaten at other Michael Mina restaurants without issue - perhaps he should spend some time there. I am a 49ers season ticket holder and walk by the restaurant on game days. Too bad there will be the reminder of my bad experience each time.
Always an awesome experience. The staff is wonderful and especially when they know you by name 🤩❤️😉
Really great service and excellent food, Jerome took great care of us on our anniversary dinner! All the staff were very professional but still friendly.
Great as always!
Stellar dining experience!
Patrick was awesome! Great suggestions for wine and food. Personal service and attention. Dry aged ribeye the bomb!
We’ll be back.
the Bearnaise sauce for my steak was SO good. The brussel sprouts were too sweet, and the potato puree was tasteless. Almond butter cake was yummy. The decor is BLAND and ugly. The music was obnoxious. Service was ok.
Great place for a special occasion or business dinner to impress clients. You can actually have a conversation and the food is very good. Wait staff is attentive but doesn't overdue and quite thoughtful.
As we were led through the back hall, we didn't expect such a nice dining area, considering the noisy sports bar we had to wade through. The service was so wonderfully attentive, and the food was amazing. We got the boar bolognese gnocchi, shrimp cocktail, brussels sprouts, fillet mignon, and the duck special with couscous for dinner, with a banana tarte tatin and creme fraiche panna cotta for dessert. There was not one thing that was off, and we gave our complements to the executive chef.
Bourbon Steak House is a constant in the restaurant scene on the level of best steak house in the area. We prefer this over any other steak house in the area. Congratulations to the standard of quality.
Good meat and properly cooked. However, an interesting fact is that 'somehow' this restaurant has impressive whiskey based cocktails.
The service was great and charming. We received several complementary items because it was a birthday celebration. Everything was well prepared and tasty. Just a little noisy for such a nice restaurant.
Awesome service; we were celebrating a birthday, and when we arrived there was a card on the table signed by every staff member. Extremely thoughtful and unique. We were also brought complimentary champagne and dessert, and received awesome service throughout the meal, and the food was outstanding! Can’t wait to go back!
Dined here on a Monday night at 8:30 so there were only a few people in the restaurant but we were treated to first class service and excellent food. Don't let the fact that this restaurant is located at Levis Stadium deter you - it is a gem! We were not rushed at all considering the last seating was 9 pm, and every staff member that served us went out of their way to make it a great experience. Looking forward to returning.
Service was amazing as well as the food
Enjoyed Wonderful dinner time with my family :-)
Especially, their server were professional and extremely friendly.
The manager, Anthony made our time more valuable.
Love the restaurant and food!
I'm finding the Mina franchise highly overrated. The only good thing about this meal was the effort level the server put into trying to make up for all the mistakes the kitchen made. Our server was excellent and really had a lot of cleanup work to do which I felt bad for him for.
Let's start with our order. It was an agonizing amount of wait between each dish coming out. It did take a little while for them to take our initial order but we were talking intensely so I think they were leaving us alone. After placing our order and waiting over 30 minutes the waiter came to the table let us know that they did not have any of the cuts of meat that we had ordered. We didnt order anything fancy just the filet. I was shocked that they would not able to accommodate two additional fillets at peak dinner hours on a wed night. The appetizers had one notable good dish which was the corn soup. The burrata was odd with the salmon Roe otherwise fine but not remarkable. And the tartar was flavorless despite being mixed in front of us with a bunch of various spices. I don't think I'll be going back to anymore Michael Mina restaurants as this is the second bad experience in a row after going to the one in downtown San Jose. There are so many wonderful dining options in the Bay Area there's no need to waste your time on mediocrity.
Great food but even better with the excellent service we received. They really made us feel special and took amazing care of us. The food was delicious and exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend coming here.
We went on a Friday date night. Had the Lobster Pot Pie and it was incredible. Our server Patrick was excellent and we had a great time. It was quiet and comfortable, not what I expected.
the food and service was very good, but I had a question regarding the cost of the meal, because the itemized statement did not add up properly, I asked the manager about it (via email) and have yet to this day received a response. So enjoy the meal but check your bill very closely.
I always receive the best service and food at Bourbon Steak. ⭐️🙌🏼
What a delicious meal! The gourmet fry trio as a complimentary starter was wonderful and our entrees (filet mignon) did not disappoint either. We got the mac & cheese (pretty good) and broccoli (delicious!) as our sides and also loved the bread served with our meal. We saved room for dessert and enjoyed the cheesecake and mousse and both were the perfect ending. Service was wonderful as well.
Best pomme frites ever :-)
Steak was little overcooked, portion was small in other dishes
But had great time
Amazing food and service! We asked our server for recomm ndations and he was spot on.
The birthday card that the wait staff signed was a very nice touch.
I've eaten here multiple times and each time is better than the last. Food is amazing, the staff are helpful and accommodating. Easy to park.
Great food overall. Starting with the tri-flavored duck fat fries is a yummy twist. We had the tuna tartar which was a visual as well as tasty treat. The steaks were seasoned well and cooked perfectly.
Every thing was there when you look for a nice elegant date night. The staff was exceptional and the food was just as good.
You've got to keep in mind that you are going to a sports stadium for a Michelin rated chef...fine dinning.....think about that does it really work ...NO!!!!
Very disappointed. Went for son’s birthday. They had a lot of special touches like a Happy Birthday dessert as you would expect for a meal of that price. Steak was ok certainly not great. Sides were good but again not great. Also very put off By Valet parking for $15 in a place that ostensibly has no parking issue or problems (hit us for an additional $7 on the way out the door because we spent 2 hours 15 minutes at dinner). If you want to be a high end steak restaurant, cut out all the dime store nonsense.
Thank you to the chef for the lovely lobster pot pie. Awesome as always. The creamed spinach is amazing, cheesy-creamy. The French fries are simply spectacular.
