Bourbon Steak - Los Angeles Ratings and Reviews
This restaurant was a really nice surprise. The service was excellent, the food was very good.
My fillet was very good, I order medium rare it was more medium than you would get at Mastro's. The crab was only ok, it had chunks of shell in it. The room was a typical large steak house which means nice and elegant but a bit cavernous and loud. We had to lean in to speak to each other.
Having said the above - I am a fan. I will be back and I will emphasize the cooking on my steak and will probably pass on the alaskan crab on top. The fries at the beginning of the meal were great.
This was a really beautiful, indoor romantic restaurant. The vibe is a dark, candle lit, quiet restaurant, with a bar. It's mostly a classy scene that's perfect for date nights. The menu is very expensive, but the steal for two comes with a lot of meat and is shareable between at least three people. They give three different flavored fries with different house sauces as appetizer and it was delicious! Their steak was also amazing, I definitely had a taste of heaven in my mouth!
This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. The service and food were great. The filet and the new york steaks were cooked perfectly. The side of mushrooms and the mac and cheese were really tasty. We had the tuna appetizer that was delicious. We would definitely go back again.
This is my go-to spot to take out loved ones for special dining. The food is ALWAYS amazing, and what’s even better is the service. I’ve been here multiple times and I keep coming back because of the service and delicious food. I sincerely thank the wonderful group of people who make up the team at Bourbon Steak ❤️
Went here with my family for a “nice” steak dinner while we were in Glendale. The food was amazing and delicious. It’s a cool place where they bring you complementary fries with your bread—Might have been a special night for this but we found it to be very nice.
We had oysters as an appetizer and your cannot go wrong! The main meals were served hot and delicious. I had the filet minion and it was flavourful and cooked exactly to what I liked and expected.
On top of it all, the service was top of the natch. The server was knowledgeable and very welcoming. We very much enjoyed our dinner here and would recommend it to anyone in the area looking to eat at a nice steakhouse. We’ll be back!
This was our second visit to the restaurant. The first, several months ago, was top notch in every way. The restaurant was not crowded or noisy on the first visit (mid week, early evening), the service was impeccable, and the food outstanding. All were reasons to return for another special occasion. This time, the restaurant was very busy and noisy when we arrived (mid week, 7:00 pm). We were seated promptly (had a reservation). Our waiter was friendly, but he seemed somewhat busy/distracted and left us for long periods of time, so long that someone else finally noticed and took my cocktail order. The Bijoux cocktail was delicious. Complementary French fry starter was tasty as well. The Caesar salad was rather standard and over dressed. The porterhouse steak for two was delicious, as were the three sauces (béarnaise, bourbon steak sauce, chimichurri). The side dish of Brussels sprouts was also very tasty (no leftovers to take home!). The dessert was disappointing (Bourbon White Chocolate Sundae) ; only the espresso ice cream part of it had any flavor. I would order something different if having dessert again or nothing at all.
I can't stop thinking of the service. We haven't been out in a while to a really nice place, for a variety of emotional/social stressors, and we were ready to blow over a grand and really treat my uncle and aunt to some really good food and wine. I could not have been happier with the service, the som Kristen was perfect! She was funny, pleasant, super accommodating, remembered our wine preferences and what we ordered on previous visits. I haven't had a som listen exactly to my ideal tasting profile and then bring me a wine that sent me into outer space like this since my wife and I went to Geranium in Denmark four years ago, which is a two star Michelin, world's top fifty, Paul Bocuse award winning restaurant. Bourbon steak replicated my experience just ten miles from home. Bravo, well done!
The service was outstanding. When we made the reservation we had warned them that the "3rd" was a 1 year old who is usually well behaved. But we had mistimed naps, etc and my grandson was a beast! The servers, hosts, etc all rallied....they stayed calm, helped out and were just super! The food was good but the service was especially amazing - thank you all!
Went there with my fiance for our anniversary. We were in love with everything we had!--it's an upscale restaurant so everything tends to run on the pricey side. However, we recommend the porterhouse for two because it's well worth the price! I've had more expensive porterhouse for two in the past, but this one is on the cheaper side and the best tasting I've ever had! We ordered it with the bone marrow--PERFECTION! I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant.
The sommelier was knowlegeable and gracious. We brought in a wine from a district not represented on their wine list which always sparks a fun and informative conversation. The steak was done exactly as requested even with our special request to "char off" a rare+ steak. Very nice. The only off note was with the sides, which to my tastes were a bit rich. I guess I prefer simpler versions of potato (baked) and more straight ahead creamed spinach. The meat is rich enough and I think the sides should be less fussy.
Very bad experience. I took my girlfriend there for her birthday. They mess up her order. Then my steak was sitting on the table for 15 min getting cold
While they were correcting the entree order for my girlfriend. No real apology from the waiter.
Bourbon Steak always delivers on special occasions. The number one fine dining in Glendale. As part of the Michael Mina restaurant group, you'll be treated to the freshest seasonal ingredients. The menu, preparation, service and ambiance is impeccable. Adults should refrain from bringing their children. This is not the place for family dinners. Leave the fine dining to the grown-ups. You need a break and so do we.
Have dined at Bourbon Steak now 4-5 times, and have never been disappointed. Menu has all the hallmarks of an exceptional steakhouse, and some innovative side dishes ( I highly recommend the Bacon-crusted Bone Marrow, and the Brussels Sprouts). The Small Plates are also interesting, and the amuse-bouche is an interesting mix of shoestring fries and side dips which set a perfect table for the ensuing main courses.
The wine list is timely, typically well-stocked, and the Sommeiler are well versed with their catalog overall. Dessert is slightly typical for a upscale steakhouse, but still very enjoyable.
Bourbon Steak continues to be a favorite for a number of my clients for business meals, and we expect to make many happy returns!
Bourbon Steak is rapidly moving up my list of favorite steak houses. The liquor tastings offered are fun and the fun never fails to delight. Plus, during my last two or three visits, the waiter and staff have been extremely friendly and welcoming. The french fries at the beginning of the meal are always interesting and the chocolates at the end of the meal are always fulfilling. From start to finish it is really a great meal.
Happy Hour is great! Have fun with my friend. The lamp Lollipop was bomb. I didn't expect it was so good. Don't be tricked by the name. This dish was two mini lamb chops. I really liked their free bread with truffle cream butter. The best free bread I ever had in all fancy restaurants. However, the uni on top of my crab cake was a little fishy. And the dessert was not that good. Overall, it was a valuable dinner.
A wonderful dining experience. We went for Sunday brunch. The menu (although small) had a great variety. It was approachable for a beginner foodie yet adventurous enough for a seasoned food lover. Service was excellent. And the prices were what one would expect for a nice steakhouse. It's a special occasion place but definitely worth its value. I'd come back in a heartbeat :)
An experience from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. Very romantic space with kind, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. This is not the type of thing I can afford to do often (maybe once every few years) so this is definitely a special occasion venue for me and they really made us feel special for a birthday. I'm vegetarian, and although they don't really have veggie entrees, the sides they offer are delicious.
