Bourbon Steak is superior in every sense!
The ambiance was superb and the service very friendly.
The best in DC. Please keep your standards high. 🙏
Glad to dining indoors again! Well spaced and low capacity in place. Clean safe well maintained. The food was delicious. Portions just right! Service absolutely the best. Waygu not incredible probably regular beef would be just as good and abit more economical. Luxury has its cost and this is still worth it.
Terrific as always. Such attention to detail and safety. Could not recommend more.
Excellent food and 5 star service. I highly recommend it.
The service and every part of the meal was delicious and fantastic. Sitting outside in the middle of January was better than expected. The table was well distanced, had a heater nearby, and the server even provided blankets. We felt extremely safe.
REALLY impressed with how they are handling seating during COVID; "outside" but still warm and incredibly safe. There were some menu limitations (no asparagus, e.g.), but understandable-- the kitchen was willing to work with the customers on their requests. Service was excelente, the food was exquisite. One felt a sense of normalcy in these crazy times.
Milan was so thoughtful and dinner was delectable, as usual. Also very comforted by their systems of keeping everyone safe without diluting the Four Seasons experience.
Our visit to Bourbon Steak this weekend was wonderful. The service and food were superb as always. We had a small party of four and felt comfortable sitting in their outdoor space for a late-night dinner. The restaurant did the best they could amidst absurd regulations on the restaurant industry in DC that have strangled the dining experience. Very few places can afford to operate amidst the new regulations and those that do have to seat guests outside in the dead of winter. Bourbon Steak is lucky to have the hotel space accommodate alternative seating plans. Still, it was so sad to see how few patrons they could seat while the DC mayor and her cronies enjoy uninterrupted payroll.
New Years Eve
Celebramos nuestro Aniversario
We came here to celebrate my birthday and we were overall very pleased. They had temperature checks upon arrival, were quick to seat us, and it was definitely not overcrowded.
Recommend foregoing their cocktails, the manhattan they served was not good based on the value, but the bottle of wine we ordered was fantastic.
They bring out complimentary French fries and sauces, along with fresh baked bread in skillets, so it’s easy fill up before you even get your main. I recommend skipping salads, and just sharing an app... we were so stuffed we couldn’t even finish the entrees.
Lastly if it is your birthday or if you’re celebrating a special occasion then they bring you out a little chocolate coconut bar which is a nice way to end the meal without being overly full.
We ate at Bourbon Steak for Christmas dinner, reserving one of the igloos. While the food was good and food service was good, it was incredibly cold. There are space heaters in the igloos, but they hardly let out any heat so I would recommend dressing in the same manner you would to be outside. It's a $250 fee to use the igloo so I'd highly recommend considering if this fee is worth it based on the weather and lack of accommodations to make the igloo comfortable.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we had to dine outdoors, which we anticipated. What we did not anticipate, however, was for the restaurant to not provide adequate heat lamps for its guests. The wind alone caused them to pass out blankets to their patrons, which did not suffice. One would have thought the service would be swift, given the frigid temperature, it was not. Bourbon Steak was successful in ensuring my family’s dining experience will certainly be forever etched in our memory.
Hello, I'm sincerely sorry that you did not enjoy your experience with us. I hope to have the opportunity to make it up to you and your family. If so, please contact me directly for a reservation. Kind regards, Jose C Gonzalez Bourbon Steak | General Manager Jose.Gonzalez@fourseasons
We booked a “bubble” for the Christmas Eve dinner, and made a specific booking for dinner. When we arrived, we were taken to a bubble without electricity or a dining table. Upon asking, the waiter stated they didn’t know we would like to have dinner! He further stated all other bubbles were reserved - this turned out to be a lie. After 10+ minutes waiting in the darkness, they took us to another bubble with electricity, but still without a dining table. Dinner food was good as always. Then the bubble lost power half way through so we ate in darkness. At the time of making payment, there was no apology and no offer of a discount. I made no such request because it was holiday and frankly I feel bad for all such establishments suffering from COVIS. But any other other 5-star hotel would have offered either or both. Valet was smooth and pleasant.
Hello, I'm sincerely sorry that you had a poor experience in our bubble. I do appreciate the feedback and will be looking into all of the issues that you mentioned. I realize that I will never be able to fully make up for time with the family on a holiday but I hope to have the opportunity to host you again in Bourbon Steak. If so, please make a reservation directly with me. Kind regards, Jose C Gonzalez Bourbon Steak | General Manager
Meal was OK. But this place is stale and needs a total makeover. We felt like we were taken back to the 1990s with how I inviting the decor and inside were. For a restaurant at the four seasons, you should be ashamed of yourself. Ahi tuna tartar was not very good. It was not creative at all. Think of toast you spent $0.99 on and put it on a platter with a few tablespoons of chopped up fish that didn’t seem too fresh. The complementary fries were nice. Cocktails were nice. I don’t plan on returning though.
Great service and food was outstanding. I also liked the complimentary fries and bread.
Everything was amazing!
I loved everything about this place, including the friendly attitude of the valet personnel, to the host stand staff, our server, the sommelier and the manager. The food was nearly without comparison and it was a perfect evening there
The food was amazing. I was disappointed that they were out of the pear panna cotta, but they made up for it. I will return to this restaurant again.
The service and environment was excellent it was a very nice treat and we enjoyed it very much
It was our daughter’s 17 birthday and we had a fantastic evening and everything was perfect and first rate the entire evening. Our waitress was outstanding and had impeccable timing and her helpers were on top of things the entire evening.
Just catching up with old friend! My first time dining, however my friend is a frequent diner who raves about the place. Duck fat fries were outstanding! After much careful consideration & questions to our server. We settled on the Hot Miso buttered Shellfish platter. This is a MUST have! The seafood was perfectly cooked! The shrimp were amazing! Seasoned perfectly and the extra butter & grilled lemon definitely complimented the dish. We both tried the Hot Buttered rum cocktail, which was spicy but sweet. For entrees, the ribeye, cooked to perfectly to medium. I originally had my mind set on the Lobster Pot Pie, since it is a speciality, however the waitress stated it was “difficult to eat”, I asked her to explain but she couldn’t really expand. I can’t imagine how a pot pie could be difficult to eat 🤔. Anywhoo, I went with the potato crusted halibut in a lobster sauce. The halibut was cooked well & the sauce was delicate enough to compliment the fish. I do feel our server could’ve been a little more attentive after our food arrived. Also, in offering to pack our leftovers to go, she didn’t pack everything on my plate, which was disappointing. Overall, great experience. Food was amazing!
Best restaurant in DC. Prove me wrong.
Excellent ribeye for him and average cauliflower steak for me (yes, I'm a vegetarian at a steak house!). It was too busy though, and we didn't feel that we were taken care of as well as you should be for those prices...
Went to Bourbon Steak for my son's 21st birthday. The hotel is gorgeous, but the restaurant was very understated. The meal was very expensive and was good, but not great. They knew it was my son's 21st, but barely acknowledged until I said something. Waiter was ok. Service just ok. It took a long time to refill water and he didn't check in much. For dessert, they treated him to a two bite mini cake that wasn't that great; he didn't even finish it. Overall, for that price, they could have given him a nicer dessert. It just didn't wow any of us at all. Disappointed for that price.
The restaurant was alittle dark, wish the lights were alittle brighter.
We had a great time. Food, service, everything was awesome. Highlights included the bone marrow, oysters, and the sides. They’ve always had the best steak in town so no surprise there.
Never been. Wanted to go out before another shut down. The hostesses were dressed in uniforms with a classy feel to them. I really enjoyed myself. When we open back up I can’t wait to sit at the bar again
