Absolutely fantastic as always! The table over looking the canal, terrific service and great food .....you can’t beat it! This is a wonderful restaurant.
Great quality and exciting tastes of food helped to overlook friendly but uniformed service
Delicious meal and outstanding service!
Incredible steaks. Great service. What can you say, it is the Four Seasons. Terrific!
everything from the check in to having a signed of Happy Anniversary.. We were celebrating 31 years with American Airlines. The food delicious it is always special.
Terrible experience. We frequently eat at Bourbon Steak. We’ve noticed that it is going downhill. This past visit was terrible. I wanted 1.5 hours for a medium rare steak which ended up being over cooked. I’m sad to say this, but I will never visit this place again.
As the best steak house in town, Bourbon steak delivered.
Great food!! My steak was excellent! Great flavor, well cooked and this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Expensive, but worth it!
Absolutely amazing staff and food. Favorite in dc.
Wow, what an incredible & special experience. Celebrated our anniversary and the food & service could not have been any better. Tried a new cut, the rib cap, which was delicious. And enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine which was recommended by the sommelier. Thank you for making our celebration so memorable!
Service was fantastic and even though we were given many surprises like champagne, desserts and truly wonderful service, it was way too expensive for the quality of food and prep this bourbon steak offers
The food was spectacular and overall, we had a great time. However, our sever (Amy) was distracted and completely disengaged from the moment we arrived until we signed the check. I'm not sure if she was having a bad night or was crazy busy, but we really felt neglected. We did have a party of 6, and she added gratuity (which I'm sure is a policy and not what upsets me) but I do wonder if she was checked out because she knew gratuity was already taken care of? The support staff (somm, hostess, food runners, etc) where OUTSTANDING. According to my husband, who dines here regularly, the service is generally impeccable across the board. Unfortunately not our experience on Friday.
Bourbon Steak has amazing steaks and definitely one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. I was not as impressed with the broccoli, asparagus or baked potato which were okay. The menu had one chicken dish, 2 fish entrees and a few lobster dishes but the bulk of the menu is steak. If you are a steak lover, I would recommend Bourbon Steak in the Four Seasons hotel.
We expected an amazing steak dinner and dining experience based on a previous visit to this location. On our visit in June ‘18, our steaks were seriously disappointing. On top of it, the service was not nearly as attentive as we had enjoyed in the past. We will not return.
Birthday , impeccably great
Restaurant was not busy that night but service was extremely slow and unacceptable for a fine dining establishment. We had to ask twice just for the complimentary fries, which came out cold. Then spit a salad and appetizers which took a long time as well. Appetizers were decent. After appetizers were done, we had to ask when our meal was coming out. Ordered 3oz Japanese Wagyu, presentation was not great and room temperature at best. Our entree steaks came out and both were room temperature, so we sent everything back. Manager #1 came to apologize and brought out a new Japanese Wagyu, which was the only amazing part of the dinner experience.
When the entree steaks were brought out again, they were still room temperature, so we finally said we didn’t want our steaks at all and asked them to remove it from our bill. Manager #2 came out to ask about our experience, while Manager #1 never came back afterwards even though he was clearly not busy. As a fine dining establishment, we felt that management handled our experience very poorly. As a kind gesture they offered free dessert that we did not want, but they also packed the food we did not want in boxes and handed us a ticket to pick up. We were not asked if we even wanted the food, which just made the gesture seem more insincere. We obviously did not want to eat it at the restaurant, why would we want to eat it at home?
For a restaurant where we will be paying hundreds of dollars for dinner, it was very disappointing overall (service management, food) and we will not be going back anytime soon. A wasted date night where we still left hungry after spending a couple hundred dollars.
Where to start? Everything was really wonderful from the staff, (Krystale, our Server to the Sommelier Chris Coker, to Chef Adams and his staff) to the food and wine which are as respected by the staff as the guests are.
Nice "club" atmosphere with great aromas wafting through the dinning room. (There's a smoked Bourbon drink, that I didn't have, but smelled wonderful.)
The menu encompasses everything a world class restaurant should: great seafood and beef (including Wagyu selections!) with numerable sides and sauces at a range of prices! I feel that everything is a very good value.
I had the Short Rib Pappardelle. With it's amazing flavors and textures it was my Dish of the Night! I also had the day boat scallops absolutely perfectly cleaned, cooked and beautifully plated.
Others at our table of four had the Charred Octopus, Pea Soup, Maryland Crab Cake, and Maine Lobster Pot Pie.
We also ordered one serving of the A5 Ohmi-Shiga Wagyu Steak for the table - Oh My Goodness!! It is expensive but it's also jaw droppingly good - none of us had ever had anything like it and we were happy we ordered it!
We all shared a bite of everything. My one line reviews: The best crab cake I've ever had, and I've had a lot! The Pea Soup had beautiful color and creamy, just-picked flavors. Charred Octopus was done just right with great smoky wood grill flavors. Maine Lobster Pot Pie is presented/served table side and is not for the faint of heart as there was enough lobster, in a wonderful creamy sauce, to serve a table twice our size!!
The wine list is very impressive and well thought out and arrainged. I loved looking at it! But a trick I learned takes all the mystery out of wine lists: Tell the Sommelier or wine steward, what your going to have for dinner and give him/her a price range and, in a place like this, you can't go wrong. Let's just say the Sommelier here, Mr. Coker, has the skills!
Desserts? Go with anything esp the smoked S'mores and deconstructed key lime pie!
I took my wife out to dinner at Bourbon Steak for her birthday, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Her A5 Oshi Wagyu was the indisputable star of the show, and the 14oz 7X Ribeye, Truffle Mac & Cheese, Asparagus, Pappardelle, and Borbon Chcoloate Bar were all fantastic. The only (mild) letdown was the Tartare. It was a bit too "one note" in flavor. As has been my past experience, the service was top notch. Yes, this is an expensive, stylish DC steakhouse - but the staff is friendly and courteous, and seem genuinely excited about the delicious food and drink they serve. The sommelier suggested a fantastic red, one of the chefs brought out our steak choices to show us how incredible the cuts of meat looked, and our waiter, whose name I missed - receipt says 6187 Muz, was an absolute gentleman, and a pleasure to sit with. He really made what was an already great night an excellent one.
Not quite up to par for what I’d expect from a Michael Mina restaurant. That said, it was Father’s Da which is probably rough for any restaurant.
Our expectations are always high for any restaurant within a Four Seasons property so we were a bit surprised when our Father's Day dinner turned out to be a bit lackluster. The food was decent - the Wagyu Prime Rib was cooked as requested but was not at the superior quality we were expecting. The filet mignon was ok at best but was devoid of flavor (suggestion - order a sauce as an accompaniment). The service was good but the pace between courses seemed off. The restaurant was far from at capacity yet at times we felt forgotten. The highlight of the meal was a delicious Key Lime dessert that our waitperson graciously treated us to. A nice gesture but perhaps offering the regular dessert menu as an option as well would've been even nicer.
Me and my wife went for early dinner. The service, the quality of the food, the steaks, and the location are excellent. We strongly recommend it!
Best steak I’ve ever had and it wasn’t even close
Good food and service but just too expensive
Steak was over seasoned. Why is it necessary to take a great piece of prime beef and salt it to death?
Service was good but Bourbon Steak seems to have adopted Del Frisco’s preparation recipes.
Best steak ive had in years!!
Julian was exceptional!!
Once again a wonderful time at Bourbon Steak in the Four Seasons. Impeccable service and excellent food. The perennial favorites on the menu never fade, they only get better. Outsanding example of how a restaurant can keep high standards over many years.
Wonderful dinner. Great service. Delicious steaks
It was phenomenal
Amazing food and incredible good.
We had an excellent dinner on June 6, 1968 - very good food enhance by a stellar service.
We greatly appreciated the nice touches the restaurant had on this occasion with two beautiful desserts for the two "honorees": one high school grad and one 16yr old's birthday.
Great burgers, amazing fries and awesome truffle Mac and cheese!!
Prices were, as expected, in the upper end, however, service and food were match for the price
Perfect location in Georgetown. Artistically crafted dinner and drinks in a welcoming, comfortable space. Restaurant staff were warm and offered excellent service.
I really wanted to like this place. I took my wife here for her Birthday on Sat evening. It was surprisingly loud. Not as intimate as I thought it would be. There waiter was excellent. He brought me a glass of Pinot Noir. It tasted very acidic. He was able to get me a glass of an alternate Pinot. We were excited to get A5 wagyu. We have had it multiple times before. The meat just didn’t compare with what we had previously. The fat was a little crunchy even. It did not melt in our mouths. We ordered a 1.5 lb lobster thermidor. It ended up being bread crumbs with barely any lobster meat?? The dessert was honey ice cream with cherries and white chocolate. It was excellent. The chef gave us bread, fries and a scallop dish for appetizer. They were all really good. In the end, we spent $500 for an overall below average meal. As before, we were very excited for this restaurants, but it did not meet our expectations, especially for the price.
Fantastic food ... appetizer thru dessert. But on the expensive side ... be prepared. My recommendation is to accept the high prices ... don’t cut back on what you order just to save $25.00.
Great as always!
Always delicious. You pay the price but it is by far the best steak I have ever had.
We had the most wonderful server.
Cold food and snappy comments from the management. Steak was good.
