About Bourbon Steak - Four Seasons Washington DC
Featuring contemporary American fare with a focus on seasonal ingredients, BOURBON STEAK offers all-natural, organic and hormone free cuts of beef and the freshest seafood available worldwide. Prior to grilling, all meats at BOURBON STEAK are first poached to mouthwatering tenderness-red meats in butter, lamb in olive oil and pork in bacon fat.
Keeping with the nation’s capital’s emphasis on power daytime dining, BOURBON STEAK is one of the first Michael Mina restaurants to serve lunch. Guests can anticipate new salad entrées accompanied by homemade, fresh from the oven bread, each specifically created to complement the salad it is paired with.
Rockwell Group of New York composed a design scheme which reflects the elegant informality of Mina’s modern American cuisine, while also paying tribute to the classical stature of the hotel. Natural materials and crafted accents surround the space, from seeded and rubbed glass, to stitched leather and wood.

Bourbon Steak - Four Seasons Washington DC Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I spent our 1st Anniversary here and the experience was amazing! I’m kicking myself because I cannot remember my waiters name. He was a tall, bassed voiced, bearded gentle man. His knowledge of the menu and cuisine exceeded any expectation I have ever had dining out. To top off the night we were given every desert from the menu complimentary!
We will definitely be back
As always the service was good and the food delicious. However, the pricing on sides etc is almost offensive. Clearly they are only going for business clients. For the price of the entrees a side should be included. I go to many many expensive restaurants for pleasure and business and I just found the pricing offensive. A $60 steak that you pay $14 for a side is a little ridiculous
My husband and I had a fantastic dinner to celebrate his birthday! The food was delicious and so were the cocktails we had. The service was outstanding, they prepared a birthday card and a small treat with a candle. The cookies we got with our to go bags were amazing as well!!
The first time I came here, the service and food was fantastic!! So we decided to try Bourbon Steak for Thanksgiving—incredibly disappointing. The food service was incredibly slow, and our food was cold. While staff tried to redeem themselves for the cold food, it was too late as the mood was soured. We will not be returning. But thank you to staff for being apologetic and trying to make up for the cold food.
Fantastic classic steakhouse. A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it. This is a no gimmicks place with fantastic food and a great atmosphere. Utmost attention to detail and flawless execution highlight the value of the restaurant. Also, went out of their way to wish us a happy anniversary. Five stars all the way!
Only my dry aged strip steak approached the quality we can get at home. Portions were ridiculously large and very expensive for the experience. Noise level was too high for easy conversation and service was not terribly attentive to detail. Disappointing evening, capped with a damaged tire that we suspect was caused by the valet service. That added another $400 to our evening. We will not return.
Food was good, but they brought the salad out the same time as the steak. For the money I would expect better. I didn't want to say anything at the time to ruin the night with my family. For the price I expect perfection. They fell short.
Nice restaurant, good cocktails. Wood-fire grilled Arctic char with sauteed spinach is a great lunch. Only disappointment was that the complimentary French fries we had enjoyed with our dinner cocktail the previous evening are not offered at lunch. French fries were available as a side order but it's not the same as having them appear with your cocktail. Good restaurant though.
Made reservations for my wife and I wedding anniversary. The atmosphere is comfortable. It's upscale but not pretentious. The bar area is lively with contemporary music playing, but it did not effect the romantic ambiance of our dinner. The servers knew the menu and made excellent recommendations(wine server especially).
The food was AWESOME!!! Steak tartar, oysters, wagyu rib cap and tomahawk ribeye! No food is worth $$$ they're asking but I was not disappointed by my meal. For dessert get the smores, it's to die for. I will visit again after I save up or win the lottery.
We celebrated my husband’s 40th at Bourbon Steak. Every employee we met was so kind. It was refreshing, as we’ve dined in several DC restaurants that have felt stuffy, but not Bourbon Steak.
Our server was AMAZING.
Love the complimentary French fry “trio,” with three dipping sauces, as well as the tasty warm dinner roll served prior to dinner.
For dinner, we ordered a variety of meat dishes. I ordered the filet. It was tender and cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the Wagyu beef and said it was delicious. We shared the truffle macaroni and cheese — it was perfection — and the mashed potatoes were also on point.
It was an excellent dinner and dining experience all the way around. We were in a rush, as we had reservations for a show, but our server insisted he bring my husband a complimentary dessert. He went above and beyond to ensure my husband had a great birthday dinner.
I’m so happy with our decision to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday at Bourbon Steak.
We had a great meal. It certainly seemed over priced. My guest ordered a steak to be cooked well. It came back raw. The manager took back the steak but it still came back raw. Having her sit without her plate while the rest of ate was awkward and returning it still not perfect makes the price of the food sting. Other components like the fries and the desserts were very nice. The deconstructed s’mores and key lime pie were superb.
This is definitely a great restaurant. The only complaint I have was that two of the steaks our table tried to order were unavailable. And after choosing a second steak our waiter came back after trying to put the order in to tell us they were also out of that option.
I have dined here five times over th past couple of years. You definitely don't come here to save money. The food is better than most steak houses and the ambience in the Georgetown Four Seasons Hotel is great. This was a very odd night - our initial server just disappeared to take care of a larger party. I had to physically go and get someone to provide service. The captain, Rita, stepped in and did a great job getting things back on track. And then - our steaks took almost an hour to come out from the kitchen. I asked several servers what might be happening to out $60-80 steaks after 45 minutes. It took 15 minutes longer and 2 more requests before the steaks finally appeared. The food was great- but not worth the wait by an stretch of the imagination. They comped 2 glasses
Of wine and I suggested they would need to do better. They comped 50 percent t of the bill. I won't be rushing back - though I would go back and suggest they are held to the high standard of service their food quality and prices demand.
