There was a wedding party at the hotel so our reservation was put in an overflow room to the side of the main dining room and the kitchen was very slow, took 40 mins to get our appetizer and first drinks. Things sped up once I mentioned it to the waiter. Waiter was great and the food was outstanding.
This was probably the best service we’ve ever had at a restaurant. The wait staff was fantastic! It was our anniversary and we were given complementary champagne and dessert and the dinner was amazing. Would give it 10 stars if I could.
If I am in DC, I am going to Bourbon Steak!
I’ll tell restaurant directly
Great place, service and food
Best burgers, anywhere. Great service and ambience, but expect to pay $$ for wine.
Overall was great! Love it
First rate all the way!
The NY Strip on bone was average. Cooked to my specification medium rare. I have had better tasting same dish at Capital Grill. The ambiance was dark brown dreary. Would have preferred a more formal classic or modern.
Service was excellent as were oysters and desert.
But I went there for an above average steak which I can only describe as average. Same reaction as my guest. I eat in steak restaurants regularly. One word summary fir my steak-underwhelming.
Have eaten here numerous times when visiting Washington DC and it is always a fantastic meal and a great experience. Excellent wine and bourbon list and the steaks are top notch! Sommeliers do an excellent job with wine recommendations or answering questions. Excellent servers help make for a great meal. Looking forward to my next visit already!
Excellent food and service to celebrate a big birthday. Dined on the outside terrace, which had a magical ambiance.
Nice hotel, food a tad overrated compared to other options in town.
The food was really good, which we expected. The level of service we received was better than expected. Definitely recommend for a special meal.
What a dining experience should be!
The service was amazing .
Great birthday meal
Service took forever, even though the restaurant wasn’t really crowded, and the table wasn’t really clean when we were seated. Server was slightly too familiar, but very nice. The food was good but overpriced.
We celebrated my husband's birthday. We had a great time. Service was excellent. Food was good
Food was excellent but it was a bit pricy. I would go again for a special occasion.
It was good. Sophisticated
Everything was great except for my lamb. It was super fatty with very little meat.
This place is overpriced. For a $120 steak, you deserve much better than what they serve. On top of that, if you want any sides you have to buy them. Go to Chima or Ruth Chris, eat better and pay 1/3. Service is good.
Service was awful. I’m not a picky or demanding person. But we waited about 45 min until someone came to our table after ordering drinks. Will never go back. Expected a lot more from the 4 Seasons. Very disappointing.
Birthday dinner. Andy was great and the food was excellent.
Fantastic experience. The patio dining was lovely and the service was exceptional. The staff took great care with their Covid precautions, which we greatly appreciated.
On service, we had to wait almost 10 minutes, although the restaurant was open and semi empty. We were not in a rush, but we had no explanation for that.
We were indoors.
It is mentioned that from the sanitary perspective, they had separation between tables… they were not specially separated and at the end the restaurant felt crowded…
Restaurants need to invest in further separation between tables to provide a sense of safety to customers who aim to attend indoors.
Food, excellent, service very good, with a special detail for our occasion, and I am grateful for this.
We really enjoyed it.
One of the best meals I have had. Steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Sides were all amazing. Sommelier wine selections were on point.
I've been coming to Bourbon Steak on and off for years. This trip was underwhelming. The food was fine, but $89 for a ribeye seems excessive and a $60 bar tab for a glass of Jefferson Reserve and a manhattan is ludicrous. The tuna tartare was bleh, with neither the pine nuts nor scotch bonnet presenting. The rolls and fries, as always, were great but not really worth the excessive upcharge on everything else. The service was also a little lacking and the pacing of service and drinks was off (that likely is COVID related), but it saved us some money as well. Overall, there was nothing on the menu that I couldn't get elsewhere (or at home) at likely half the cost.
Excellent beef. Excellent service. Ambiance too dark for my taste. Side dishes too expensive. Overall expensive.
The food was reliable as always. The service was very good.
The only complaint is the glass service of outdoor tables.
It would be fine with placemats, but none was offered.
The sound of plates and flatware on the cool touch of glass on one’s skin isn’t for this level of the establishment
Everything from the ambience, service, food was exceptional. I can not wait to return.
We were celebrating my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary and the staff & service were exceptional. Highly recommend Bourbon Steak for special occasions of any kind!
It was really nice! From the meal to the ambience to the attention of the waiter. All around a SUPERB EXPERIENCE!
Amazing as always! My wife and I felt like VIPs
Always a great time @ Bourbon Steak 💫
We tried the Wagyu steak for my birthday. It was simply amazing and a real treat.
Excellent cuisine, excellent service!
My favorite restaurant!!
Very disappointing since last time we were there. Service was disjointed and sporadic as it appeared they were severely short-staffed. Food quality not up to their prior standards. Hanger steak was tough, and all items were uniformly very over salted. Dessert menus were brought and when they remained on the table for over 20 minutes without a server in sight to take our order, we just gave up and asked manager for our check. You expect much more when paying over $400 for dinner for 3.
Hello Alan, Thank you for joining us and for sharing your feedback. I am sincerely sorry for the poor dining experience. Excellent service and delicious food is always our goal and I am disappointed that we did not deliver with your party. I promise that this is not normal at Bourbon Steak. I would love the opportunity to make it up to you. Please reach out to me directly if we are fortunate enough to have you dine with us again. We had a wonderful college send off meal here ! Good was amazing and service was as you'd expect at a Four Seasons. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful with explaining the menu and making recommendations. We will definitely be back.
