In Washington for a funeral
We had a wonderful dinner and excellent service. The staff is as gracious and incredibly accommodating. The bread was delicious and the steak was one of the best I’ve ever had. Wonderful night with my wife.
This is one of the best steak houses in the city. The staff is amazing and they make you feel very much at home. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to treat themselves.
Wowowowowowow. The steak was so tender, the cocktails amazing. The experience was amazing for my wife and I during our anniversary. Would definitely recommend that delicious bread and duck fat fries.
Service was wonderful.
It was a really nice experience, the staff was amazing! Lively and dining and bar atmosphere; I really enjoyed my evening.
Service, ambiance, decor, comfort were all amazing. The main event was the 48oz Ribeye sliced and shared by three. It was ordered medium rare but was rare and slightly undercooked even by that standard. This could have been a simple mistake or oversight. The flavor and tenderness of the cut however, was amazing so our whole party agreed it wasn’t worth a complaint or reorder. Overall it was still a great dining experience and I would gladly dine there again as I feel another chance at getting it just right would prove to be one of the best steaks I could ever try.
$18 for a french press and two mugs seems a bit much. Service was inattentive. But food was outstanding.
It was a nice dinner overall. When arriving we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated . When arriving back home we had bad stomach ache .. must have been something we ate .. too bad we were celebrating our 4 year’s anniversary
I did not expect the burger bun to be cold. The service was great.
If you are in the hunt for a high-end restaurant in DC to impress a date or a customer, then this is the place. The food is divine and service impeccable.
Milan was our server and made our experience that much more amazing. He knew the menu from top to bottom and was able to give us excellent recommendations.
Crabcake as main course was great. The fries as a courtesy from the chef with 3 dipping sauces were delicious and the bread with black truffles is yummy yummy. Great service also.
The food and service at Bourbon Steak were both very good. We especially liked the appetizers (charred octopus), salads (wedge and butter lettuce) and the sides (outstanding creamed spinach and cauliflower!). We were able to find several possibilities on the wine list that were reasonably priced despite the overall high cost of the meal. The atmosphere was pleasant, but the noise level made it difficult to hear one another and the waiter, even though our table was by itself near the front of the restaurant.
reunion with friends
Impeccable meal in every way. It's our go-to special place. Treated me like a queen on my birthday....
Quality of food and the service are both outstanding !
More of a max volume eatery than an upscale restaurant. Very noisy, hustle bustle busy, OK food, very expensive. No reason to return.
Usually when I go the service and food is above excellent but this this time I felt the service and food is bit below.
Service was very slow.
Consistently excellent food with extremely good service. Expensive but quality comes at a price. The Sommelier is simply outstanding - knowledgeable and very helpful.
Great experience for girls night. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating area with the heat lamps and fire pits. While we weren’t in a rush, we were seated 30minutes past our reservation time. Our server did bring us a complimentary order of gazpacho. The restaurant seemed very busy with a few larger parties, however everyone we encountered provided good service. The somm was excellent and made some really strong recommendations for our table given the varying preferences and dishes ordered. Portions were generous and we ordered way more than we needed! Food was delicious and the presentation of the lobster pot pie was awesome.
Very expensive. I do not mind paying more for excellent food that the chef created and prepared, but I do object to $11 bottle of water which only had to be opened.
The Filet Mignon and the Rockfish were a 10.
The quality of the food was as expected for a high-end Washington D.C. Steakhouse. The prices, however, were unreasonable. Not just on the food, but sides and drinks. You simply do not get your money's worth. Six dollars per glass of soda. Eleven dollars per bottle of water. Sixty seven dollars for a strip. There are simply better options with more reasonable prices in the area.
Amazing! Incredible food and staff.
My 44th birthday and 4th year anniversary.
The highlight of the dinner was the excellent and attentive service from the staff. The wine surpassed even our high expectations. The side items were fantastic. The french fries at the beginning were wonderful as always. However, I'm not convinced the steak was worth the price. It was a bit tough and chewy for this price level. That's important, as this is a steak house. Also, an Old Fashioned cost $21, which I think is too high. Had a far better experience at a separate Bourbon Steak location. Still, I'll visit Bourbon Steak again....just not quite sure I'll come back to this one.
Everything at Bourbon Steak is executed with the overall customer experience involved, right down to a coat check ticket to get your wrapped leftovers on your way out. The food is phenomenal and the staff is well versed in making great recommendations. A must visit establishment.
Incredible service, food knowledge which led us to indulge and truly enjoy ourselves. We were celebrating with family for their last night in the US before going back to the Netherlands. They had a ball! Thank you!!
We have eaten at Bourbon Steak many times. We asked to be seated in a booth and was told they were reserved. We were seated at a table next to a large, loud table where people kept getting up and down. The booths remained empty while we were there!
Took my lady there for her birthday. Outstanding service. Food was great. Will definitely be back.
Amazing food and service
Steaks and potatoes cold
Great experience, food, service, and staff were exceptional.
Delicious food and outstanding service on top of the best wine list in DC.
Bourbon Steak puts it all together to deliver a superior dining experience -- they are second to none!
Food was “meh” to say the least. For a steak house, portions are small. Not much flavor in the Mac in cheese or on the rib eye. Brussel sprouts were tasty. There are better steak house options in DC.
Meal was outstanding and what you would expect for the price your paying. I felt the server could have been a bit more attentive when it came to drink refills. You truly are paying a premium for the meal so if your prepared for this then I would highly recommend dining here.
It is horrible that in 2019 that there is not a designated smoking area on the terrace for outdoor dining. We chose Bourbon for a birthday dinner and had to move 2 times. Children and other adults shouldn’t have to be subject to smoke. We are frequent diners at Bourbon but will certainly reconsider after this
Also it took 15 minutes for a server to come over or bring us water.
Overall, great service and food, but a bit overpriced.
