Wonderful food great service. Perfect evening for our anniversary.
Be warned that Bourbon Steak will NOT honor your reservation for outdoor seating. My husband had a client in town and wanted to treat him to a nice dinner somewhere with outdoor seating. We have eaten at Bourbon many times, spending pretty large sums of money, and have had pretty good experiences. But this past visit, with business client in tow, was not great. We specifically reserved "outdoor seating" when making the reservation as we had a choice of that or "standard seating." The day before, we received a phone reminder about our reservation at which time my husband confirmed the outdoor seating. All was in order. Unfortunately, when we arrived on time for our reservation there were no tables available outside and none would be coming available for at least 1.5 hours. The hostess told us outdoor seating was "first come, first serve" regardless of our reservation. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. How hard is it to count the number of outdoor tables and NOT seat someone out there that did not reserve outdoor seating? Beyond the hostess's perfunctory apology (sounded like she gets this a lot), no one every came by to apologize for the situation. Food was fine, ambiance was just okay inside and service was good (Logan and Mulan were great!), but the overall experience was way below par for Bourbon. It was tainted by their poor reservation system and lack of consideration for their guests. With so many options in the area, I would suggest dining somewhere where your reservation will be honored.
Great restaurant perfect for us with a small child we could actually exit the patio dining and walk around the resort with baby’s stroller when he was having a difficult time sitting at the table.
We ate outdoors, the area was lovely.

The service was slow. We didn’t leave the restaurant until approximately 10:30pm. It took approximately 20 minutes or more between courses. At one point the drinks from the bar took 25 minutes to receive. The server was friendly, but 4 hours in a restaurant is a too much.
The Knowledge and charisma of all of the staff was absolutely astonishing! They made our anniversary dinner feel as if it was of the upmost importance. They added perfectly elegant touches that I have not seen elsewhere for such an occasion. Our server “Milan” paid very close attention to the detail of describing the flavors of what the chef was out to achieve! Just absolutely outstanding!
This was our first dinner out since the pandemic started. We were celebrating my wifes retirement. I searched articles on restaurants in Scottsdale with outdoor tables.. This lead me to a good listing on Open Table, where I made our reservation. I selected Bourbon Steak because I had been there before and I knew the outdoor seating was plentiful. We were greeted by the hostess and shown to an INDOOR table. The hostess stated that outdoor seating was a suggestion, not a commitment. I had to state that outdoor seating was a requirement for us. We had to return to the hostess station, they identified another table outdoors and we were seated. During the 2 hours we were there the outdoor seating area was never more than half full. I have no idea why we got the run around upon arrival, but things started off poorly.
Very over rated. Big fan of fine dining this is not it.
Food, and service was good. We sat outside and it was beautiful. A bit expensive but a nice treat once in a while.
It was a wonderful experience. For a nice restaurant, it was very kid friendly and had options for the kids menu. The staff were excellent and attentive.
The was good . Very nice atmosphere. I would recommend to a friend that don't mind spending a high price for a dinner. I don't think the food was worth the high price.

After going to Steak 44 and expecting a similar meat experience seeing as the prices were about the same, we were underwhelmed. The service was fantastic and they were very accommodating, but getting the Wagu Ribeye Pave tasted just like a Filet at Outback Steakhouse. They did take it back and replaced it with the standard Ribeye, which was great but it tasted like a steak I could grill myself. Nothing about it said $55.
Come here if you don't care about the quality of the meat. Everything else was awesome. Sides were great, drinks were great, Service was great.
They sat us in the happy hour area even though we had reservations. We still had the same menu and prices but a less desirable table. We had to watch the bartenders make drinks and all the waiters come by to grab the drinks while we spent almost $250 on dinner. I expected to be in the dining room especially when I had reservations and am paying the same prices. The food was good and came out in a reasonable time. The waiter was okay... when we would say “thank you” for picking up plates from the table or dropping off silverware, he wouldn’t say “you’re welcome” which is a pet peeve of mine. All in all the food was good, the ambiance could have been better if we were seated properly and given a waiter instead of a bartender.

My husband and I were staying at the Fairmont Princess for our honeymoon. We had dinner here and were joined by another couple who live nearby and celebrating their anniversary. It was an absolute amazing evening! Once seated, we were promptly greeted by a staff member offering us water. Then immediately after, another waiter poured us a glass of complimentary champagne for us to celebrate and toast with. Amazing! Then we met our server, Sean. He was the best! Was only present when needed to be as he could see we were in no rush to order and were talking quite a bit. He walked us through the menu a bit and we ordered the seasonal appetizer and the signature tuna tartare as well as some cocktails. They were very refreshing! We also were treated when another server brought us the starter of duck fat fries with sauce. So so so good! That dill pickle ketchup is something else! Yum! He came back after a bit to take our order for dinner and then came out appetizers. Wow! The table side presentation of the tartare was fun to watch and then of course both dishes tasted amazing!! We ordered a couple glasses of wine with who seems to be the sommelier. She was very pleasant and kind. We got 2 glasses of the French Bordeaux. Then, in a timely fashion cake our main meals. My husband and I ordered the Japanese A5 beef and Wagyu combination to share, a side of scallops and some sides: truffled Mac n cheese and sautéed mushrooms. Our friends ordered filets and a side of broccolini. I have to say the beef was just melt in your mouth tender. Prepared to perfection! We were a disappointed that the mushrooms were pretty bland and the truffled Mac n cheese was unfortunately cold. But honestly it didn’t seem to matter as my husband scarfed it down it was still so tasty! After dinner, we ordered a few deserts and were also treated to a complimentary after dinner cocktail. Tasty!! Overall, the experience was one we will always remember for the rest of our lives! Thank you Sean and chefs!!
The patio was beautiful with the pencil cacti and then it was more quiet. Our server, Jenna, was delightful. The food was fabulous, especially the filet, which cut like butter.
Wonderful atmosphere it was me and my wife first time we moved from California and hands down the moral and environment it’s self is amazing and the food is the icing on the cake everything was made with passion and love and you can taste it and presentation was amazing along with the s hospitality thank you all so much for all you do !
The entire team signed individual cards for an Anniversary/Birthday dinner celebration and brought complimentary champagne to start. Food was excellent, service was impeccable.

We ordered oysters, cocktail shrimp and crab for appetizers, they were hard, like so hard I couldn’t bite off the shrimp, same thing for the crab, oysters were ok, not as fresh and good as I expected them to be, our main entrees were alright, no complaints but really nothing to be impressed about, the service though? OMG took forever, for EVERYTHING, from food to getting desert menu to paying, for the money we spent I would rather go to ocean 44, not very impressed at all with the oct fest, maybe for children. The waiter was nice, and I loved my cappuccino.
This was our first time going to Bourbon Steak and it was very disappointing! Our food was across the board cold and overcooked. Also this is clearly not a place for a romantic dinner as it was very loud and young kids were running around everywhere. There are many quality food options in the Scottsdale area so we will definitely not go back!

Was greeted with smiles starting with the valet, front desk and hosts from the restaurant. Our server was friendly, efficient and was able to discuss the menu and wine menu in detail. Thank you for the amazing service. Exactly what we expect whenever we choose a Fairmont hotel, cherished Fairmont memories.

Our experience was outstanding from start to finish! A specific shout-out to Sean McKusick for going above and beyond to make our evening special!
Service started off and the most part was TERRIBLE. We sat at the table for at least 22 minutes with two tired kids, before anyone acknowledged us with water, it then took another 12 minutes to get our drink order (glass of wine, old fashioned, 2 Dr. Peppers). Then we were asked about 10 minutes later how we liked the french fries, which we knew nothing about french fries, which came in less than 10 more minutes. Our filets were AMAZING, wine and old fashioned was good, and couldn't go wrong with Dr. Pepper : ) The kids sliders and mac n cheese was amazing. Towards the end, Milan took over our table and MILAN WAS AMAZING!!! He was the only saving grace to service and would only come back if we could request him, after 3 others had their shot at not a whole lot. Kudos to the Culinary team and Milan!!
First time eating at Bourbon Steak. Our group was not impressed. We first got seated in the bar which was not pleasant and loud. We did get moved. We ordered two orders of oysters as an appetizer. We are used to getting plenty of lemons, horseradish, great dipping sauce and brine. We only got two small slivers of lemons and two tiny, tiny bottles of tabasco that were very difficult to open. Oysters were good however. We splurged on the Wagyu NY strips. At $96 each we do expect perfection. Steak was OK but mine was over-cooked and a little dry. With four people in our party the three sides we ordered were average at best and not nearly enough for (4) people. This was our first splurge dinner during Covid and we expected so much more from Bourbon Steak.
Wow! Everything you would expect from a Michael Mina restaurant. Top notch cuts of meat, inventive sides and delicious starters. The wine selection can only be described as copious. The service was perfection and so warm and friendly. If you are looking for a romantic getaway in PHX this may be the best.
Cocktails were small for $17 each.
Wedge salad had minimal flavor and looked like it was from a cheap salad bar.
Steaks were good.
Mac & cheese side was a little cold and looked like it was sitting for a while prior to being served.
Service was a bit slow.
A bit disappointing overall for price paid.

Pumpkin nights at the Princess
My business partner dined with you the other night and it was really spectacular. The 37 page wine list is amazing and priced well with so many choices. As a retired sommelier myself, it's worth many return visits. The food and service were great. The Wagyu ribeye was perhaps the best steak ever and the salmon was beautifully and delicately prepared. Thanks again!

Had a wonderful time for the anniversary, was a great place to spend the money, eh, yes and no, great food for sure but my own opinion ,nothing to be excited about, would I recommend it to others yes and no depending what they are going for or expect kind of food.
We have dined at Bourbon Steak as well as a few other Michael Mina restaurants on many occasions. I found the meal at Bourbon steak to be disappointing compared to all our previous experiences. The food was okay, but nothing special. Also some of my favorites like lobster pot pie and crab fried rice are no longer on the menu. I ordered the wagyu rib eye and it was chewy and unremarkable. It’s sad that I have no interest in returning to a restaurant that was since it opened, one of my favorites in town
