Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Ratings and Reviews
We have dined at Bourbon Steak for years and it is still one of our favorite places! It truly is the best steak in town. The rest of the items are amazing as well. We always ask for Jeremy as our server. He is always professional and friendly. We have recently gotten to know the Sommalier as well - he is very personable and makes amazing recommendations. If you are a foodie and want to enjoy a wonderful evening all around, then this is the place for you!
I’ve been looking forward to trying Burbon for a while now. They were very elegant in sending a tuna tasting from the chef which was delicious and a french fry offering with great dipping sauces We both ordered the petite filet for dinner; medium rare and medium well. The med well came warm and I sent mine back. We ordered the truffle Mac and cheese which was average, then I found a blonde hair in it when I reheated the left overs the next day. On the positive side, the sommelier was incredibly gracious and the bottle of wine he took time to educated us on was superb. All in all it was a quiet Tuesday and I’m not sure I’d do a full dinner there again. Beautiful space though, so drinks at the bar are a different story
Was expecting so much being a Michael Mina Restaurant and me. Ring such a fan of his. It’s not that it wasn’t good, it’s that for the price you pay, you expect a wow experience with flavors that were just ok. The Brussels has little flavor, the Truffle Mac and Cheese had no Truffle Flavor at all, yet it was creamy. The Steaks, were good. Cooked perfectly, but nothing special about the flavor. I know they can do better, would give them another try.
Everything from the food to service to staff was outstanding! I was dining alone since my husband wasn't able to accompany me on this trip, but the staff made me feel so comfortable. They were very attentive and made sure I was enjoying my dining experience. Food was wonderful! I had the filet, and it was cooked to perfection. The Bourbon Bar dessert was wonderful, too! The atmosphere and surroundings are gorgeous. I highly recommend Bourbon Steak!
Too noisy ( music turned up too loud) for a business meeting. The tomahawk steak was so chewy it was barely edible. French fries were overcooked. Wedge salad was unimpressive. Wine prices must be the highest in the City of Scottsdale. A reasonable quality Cabernet that goes for $150 everywhere was $450 here.
The only concern complaint I had was the disrespectful patron at the table next to me. Overbearing with his terrible choice of
language considering the atmosphere was far from a sports bar or barber shop which is where his conversation would find a more suitable crowd. Luckily the most amazing meal and surprises we received in dining far outweighed the tasteless patron to the table who was too close for comfort.
Five stars and amazing experience other than that and I'll be back. Strip steak in Las Vegas had the same exact fries. Good job Mina crew!!
The service was great! Friendly people.
The food was so-so for the price. Mushrooms needed more flavor. The steak was done too much too much in top. The fry trio sampler was nice and different than a bread basket. Just too expensive for a similar experience elsewhere.
The dishes were a hit or miss. For the most part the dishes were cooked well but it was either overseasoned, underseasoned, and/or too much sauce. Cocktails were underwhelming, too. The staff went above and beyond to make up for the lackluster food. I would not recommend it to my foodie friends but would recommend it to my guy friends who want to impress a girl with a fancy-looking place. Ask for a table away from the bar.
