They are not open...need to say they are not open when making reservations.
The whole place was literally boarded up and we were unable to eat there or speak to anyone. We were left wandering around trying to find some place to eat.
While Open Table let us make a reservation, the restaurant is in fact CLOSED! There we sure doesn’t mention it either. Very disappointing to be able to make the reservation and arrive to a boarded up restaurant.
Made reservations that were confirmed four days in advance, arrived and the place was boarded up. Complete waste of time. We flew in from California and made a lot of arrangements to arrive on time. Very disappointed.
Loved the oysters and the bourbon cocktails!! Waitress was excellent and offered very good recommendations!!
Food was just ok. Nothing special. First appetizer we had the Jalapeño Poppers were just not good. Watery center and the breading was some of the worst. The cornbread was solid.
For the meals. I had the Wagyu burger. Not bad. My wife had the pulled pork. BBQ sauce on that was very bland no flavor.
We did have desert, the salted Carmel Bronwine and that was pretty good.
For our drinks they were really good, I had the smoked old fashioned, Highly recommend it.
Our Waiter was fantastic. Wish I remembered his name to give him a shout out. Also we never had to wait long for our drinks or food. So spot on with the service. Atmosphere of the place was calm, could easily have a nice conversation.
The food was terrible. The bourbon jalapeno scallops had ZERO flavor. I even had to ask for salt and pepper, and that still didn't help.
Several of us ordered the Seafood boil and it was missing 1 ingredient and someone only received 1 shrimp as well so that was a little disappointing. We got several cocktails and they were all very good. The goat cheese appetizer was very good.
First trip in but sadly if you've been to the old Maker's Mark lounge from years ago...then you've been to Bourbon Raw. The decor, tables and most everything else hasn't changed (literally). For a Friday night it was pretty empty, the lighting was poor and musoc lackluster. All that said, the service was solid and the food was above par. If you're in for a convention and need a quick bite close to the hotel this will do but unfortunately I'm just not a fan at this higher price point.
This was a wonderful experience and our server, Darrius was terrific. Food was delicious and we had the restaurant to ourselves. A lovely fire and just enjoyable.
Amazing meal with some colleagues. Server was amazing and didn’t rush us at any moment. Food was 100% above and beyond what we expected. Drinks and dessert was amazingly on point. Will definitely add this to a list to share with folks coming to the area.
Great food. We had your scallops. Thanks for a nice spot before the Diana Ross concert .
We were able to be seated well before our reservation time which was nice. They drinks were incredible. We shared the shrimp cocktail and the fettuccini...both excellent.
Our server was lovely (with beautiful dreadlocks) and did everything right, but the food choices were limited (out of several foods we hoped for) and fine, but nothing special. When this restaurant was Maker's Mark, the meals were excellent.
Friday night dinner - not too crowded. Had skillet cornbread - burnt and inedible on bottom. Bourbom butter hard but good flavor. Scallops small for price charged, chewy, dish smothered in Cilantro (not described in menu). Wouldn't go back.
Out of oysters and ribs.
Waited over 20 minutes for someone to wait on us - food way over cooked
The hostess was very nice and accommodating when we needed to up our reservation by two people. However that’s when the nice service ended. We felt like we were being a bother to our waitress. Also, the food was not the greatest. They ran out of a specific appetizer we wanted, and also ran out of to dinner choices. Maybe it was just an extra busy night? But I will not be back
Terrible seating. Elbow to elbow. Uncomfortable. Loud. Poor service. Didn’t make it through appetizers and left. Went to Eddie merlots across the street. Fantastic over there although we didn’t get in until much later.
They ran out of the appetizer we wanted and we were there early. The food was bad. Wouldn’t go there again.
I took my husband for birthday/valentines/Anniversary. He had fried chicken he said it was good except the hash Brown casserole was cold, I had a dirty martini before dinner, very good had a glass of white wine with dinner. I ordered the seafood boil. The potato’s were good I ate a couple of them the corn tasted freezer burnt ate a couple of bites. I asked for no mussels but I thought it came with andouille sausage In it...there wasn’t any, but no big deal, I don’t like it anyway. The lobster was very large...good but so tough I couldn’t cut wit a butter knife and fork, basically had to cut and tear at the same time. Inedible because so chewy. The waiter was good enough to have it taken off and a glass of wine on the house. He was a little forgetful but I tipped him very well. They weren’t so busy that the food should have come out like that. don’t think I will go back unless it’s for drinks only.
After being seated right on time for our reservation, we then waited almost 5 minutes before seeing our server. Ordered beers that were slow to come. Noticed everyone else had water on their table before being seated. Ordered fried pickles. They were okay. Husband ordered scallops and I ordered bourbon salmon. Tried to substitute hash browns instead of fingerling potatoes. Our waitress stated no substitutes. Food arrived and within the first bite my husband realizes not only were his scallops cold, several were still frozen. My broccoli had been cooked to the point of utter mush. He then asked for crab cakes which he said were okay. He had broccoli that was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We were going to try a bourbon flight and dessert but at this point we’re just disappointed and decided to leave. No wonder they had plenty of reservations left the afternoon. Shame on us.
I ate here last year while attending the National Farm Machinery Show. The atmosphere of the restaurant has changed a bit but it was still good. It was not packed like last year thought so I was a bit hesitant. Instead of being dressed up the waiters were all in jeans and t shirts. Service was a bit slow and the menu didn't have as many higher end offerings like in the past. For me it was still a good meal at a decent price. Drinks were very good as well! If you're looking for a nice place to relax, eat and have a good time then this is a great place to go.
Enjoyed Valentines day there ! Good food service and deal!
Service was fine. Appetizers were fine. Entrees where awful. Neither of our steaks were near cooked as ordered. She ordered steak medium and it was raw. Mine was super well done instead of medium rare. Both side dishes were Luke warm at best with my steamed broccoli being cold.
Awesome night out with my wife. Sat next to great folks and had a great conversation. Loved the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommend
We were seated is some sort of modern seat that was low to the floor and extremely uncomfortable. My knees were hurting before we were finished. I’m 5’9, the husband of the couple next to us was 6’4. Our joking back and forth was about how miserable the seating felt and how we had to keep shifting to lessen the pain. Another couple offered us their couch pillow as they left to help my wife’s discomfort. Great food and the place had a nice bourbon theme but it wasn’t worth the pain.
Was disappointed in our meal and service. Had a group of 7 people for a nice work meal. Our server was not attentive on refills of drinks or clearing out plates or taking our order. Then the manager came in at 8 and said she noticed we hadn’t ordered our main meal yet and wanted us to order because they had a reservation coming in at 9:15 and needed the table. We had another table same size as ours open the whole time we were there for someone else to sit at and the restaurant was only half full even though it was Valentine’s Day. Thought that was weird and rude. So we ordered and weren’t allowed to change our sides on any entrees per the waitress saying they were too busy. Appetizer of crab, lobster, shrimp, goat cheese dip, and cornbread was great. Everyone’s steaks and scallops were barely warm and everyone’s steak was not good quality meat. All of our filets were tough cuts of meat. Just disappointed in execution
We encountered a snag on our side which made us late, they were super accommodating! Our table was ready as soon as we arrived, service was excellent and the food was even better! This was our first visit but it won’t be our last!
Went for date night special. I had ribs. Little dry. Ask for extra sauce. Wife had shrimp and grits. Generous portion but just OK. Good bourbon cocktails. Value was good with bottle of wine. Brownie desert flavorless and dry. The goat cheese appetizer was great. I will go back for drinks and appetizers.
The way that the tables are set up are a bit awkward. Where we were sitting, I would
Not have been comfortable with another couple sitting right next to us. The service was great, and their goat cheese was out of this world. Cute little spot with great decor.
Average food, Overpriced and slow service. Restaurant was not crowded.
Unfortunately they were shut down. Just a sign on the door that said "closed for maintenance". Nothing online to indicate they weren't open. Recent facebook posts about future events. Not sure what happened but it was very disappointing.
Staff was friendly, food was good. Price was a little high, $130 for two people including a couple of drinks. Overall I definitely would go back.
Definitely not worth the money. Service wasn’t good and food was not worth the money at all.
A lot of food fir the price. It was really good too. Bourbon flight was a hit!
AmazIng place with great food and prices.
We had thought there would be more people for a Friday night, but I think the cold kept people away! The service and food was great
Service was amazing, our waiter had a table that was extremely rude to him but still gave us great attention and service. 10/10. Food was amazing per usual
I made a reservation and even altered it a couple times. We planned our entire day around the reservations to make sure we were able to complete the urban bourbon trail. Well low and behold we arrive and there’s a sign on the door that says “closed for maintainable.” Never once did anybody reach out to us. As we’re standing outside someone came to the door and didn’t apologize didn’t say anything, just double checked that the doors were locked. So rude, and very poor customer service. So I suppose this isn’t a very fair representation on the food quality, because we never got to taste anything. For being out of towners and planning our entire trip, we didn’t get to get our 6th stamp and had to replan everything.
Could you please let us know who you made a reservation through? There was nothing in OpenTable for a reservation. We apologize for being closed, but we had a gas leak and were told to evacuate the area. We hope that you were able to get your 6th stamp from one of the other 33 stops on the Urban Bourbon Trail!
