We started off dinner with a selection of cheese and meat - it was really wonderful that the waitress was able to give us good direction and really seemed to know her stuff. The soft shell crab was great. The Vespa cocktails were great. Seems like a good place to take a date or go with friends. I love the decor and the vibe of the place! Would definitely go back if ever in DC again.

Nice place to eat and spend time with family and friends. Spacious dining room. Food is enjoyable, as well.

Excellent food in a charming and trendy, casual DC setting. Each of our group of 6 was delighted by the dishes chosen. (My husband can't stop talking about his delicious bluefish dinner.) Prices are reasonable, selections are varied, food is fresh and creative. We will return.

Lovely, rustic decor and really interesting, delicious food. All the flavors were very complex and unique. Loved the local and vibrant beer selection as well.

I found this place based on Open Table reviews, and it did not disappoint!

Went for. brunch with out of town foodie friends. I was originally excited to introduce them to a place where i had a great brunch not long ago. But they changed the menu for Fourth of July. Waitress claimed they notified diners but I was not made aware of this when I booked the reservation (nor did i see it in the confirmation email the day before). Instead of brunch, all their menu really offered was "a bucket of friend chicken" and some sides. The fried chicken alone was $40, very small pieces, not memorable in any way except for their small sizes, even though she kept claiming they always "sold out" on this menu item. Sides were similarly disappointing. Also, we had to flag down the servers a couple of times, even though the place was nearly empty. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing second visit. I might consider returning *one* more time, but i would not take friends there who aren't willing to take a gamble.

I love the ambiance of the place, but the food is bland. I would go back only for drinks at the bar.

We had brunch today, the food was good but not exceptional. The waiter seemed hesitant to speak and we needed to lead the ordering. Mimosa's were good. Prices were reasonable. We were able to stay and chat for a long while after we finished dining and there was no pressure to leave. Will definitely eat here again but will try dinner next time.

The boundary road was a random pick of ours for a Friday evening but one we will not forget. It was a wonderful experience from the drink to appetizer to desert. All we can say is that you can not go wrong with an evening here !!!!!!!

We were in town and staying in the NoMa area for a business meeting. We found Boundary Road through Open Table and Trip Advisor. The food and the service were both great! The sriracha fries were wonderful. My business partner ordered the brick chicken, which was a very big portion. I had the hangar steak, which was tender and very well prepared. Neither of us are foodies, but we were both very happy with our meal. We would definitely go back if we stay in that area again.

The duck and the bison steak/- excellent, even on a warm night. The wine and beer list always top notch, and accommodating to kids to boot-- excellent choice for family and friends dining on Capitol Hill. A great place without the screens (they have one for big events but usually rolled up and hidden). A definite guaranteed win.

Perhaps it's because spring is in the air, but I was looking forward to a light and airy space. Our large group was seated towards the rear of the restaurant. I didn't notice how much darker it was until we walked toward the light (aka leaving the restaurant). The food was heavy and colorless, but fine. The punch was delicious, but our server was slow to deliver refills. I'll probably not come back here on my own.

My only qualm was that while we were dining there was a large group next to us that had a small child that was with them. I don't mind children at all but at one point this kid was running around tables, and screaming. The parents didn't seem to care and it as it went on no one on staff asked them to politely take care of their child. I told the host to please take our check to our server because it was ruining the experience. I don't have issues with kids dining out but a restaurant is not your home and when half of the restaurant is clearly annoyed with the situation I think it's warranted for the staff to say something. We plan to go back but this was just unfortunate because the food was so good!

Went to Boundary Road on Sunday, March 29th for brunch with 4 other people. I have historically been a great fan of the restaurant and, living nearby, I see it as a great neighborhood spot. However, on this particular day service was a mess. It took forever for our waiter to acknowledge our table, then to take a bring drink orders, and then to take and bring our food order.

Staff would walk by our table (and others, it wasn't just us) completely oblivious to the fact that our table might need even the most basic service such as water or coffee. One table near us feared even worse as they sat for over 15 minutes without a single employee acknowledging them.

Boundary Road, I want to love you but if this is your new normal I will have to find a new neighborhood favorite.

They really had down a lot of the things that make a great brunch. The consistency of their bread pudding was perfect, they understood the dynamics of each texture.

Drinks were on the good side of things (not amazing or innovative, but definitely pretty good).

Price was very reasonable for the area. All in all, Boundary Road checked most of the boxes and didn't have anything going against them.

I just moved to the H Street area and highly recommend Boundary Road. The food is delicious - especially the hanger steak and the pierogis! Don't miss the zeppoles for dessert. Happy hour is 5-7pm and includes $5 beer, $6-7 wine, and small plates/snacks.

Slightly more expensive than I would like, but you can't argue with such delicious food and such good service. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and I would definitely go back again.

Mostly locally sourced, gorgeous exposed brick. Upscale without being stuffy, great neighborhood gem for the for-now more barren Hill end of H Street. My bison shortrib wasn't over the top but it was definitely good, and the vegetable bed was a perfect pairing. My date seemed to enjoy her risotto. She definitely enjoyed her cocktail, a house take on a Tom Collins, and my tempranillo was a nice selection. The waitress was polite and there when we needed her, and the food came out rather quickly. I'll be back.
