Boulevard Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Took wife for V day. 15 min wait which was normal. They mixed up our appetizers with another order and promptly admitted to it and apologized. They comped them as they said they would. We have eaten her several times and has always been great. ZERO complaints. One of the best hidden gems out there.
We love Boulevard and make this restaurant our go-to every Valentine’s Day. Sadly our waiter made this year’s visit unpleasant. He made it the longest dinner to date by waiting so long between each order. A single beer took upwards of 15 minutes to receive. It got so ridiculous, my husband started timing the arrival of food and drinks on his phone. Also, right before our food came out, our waiter asked us to remind him of our sides again. Are wait staff at Boulevard not allowed to write anything down? The whole experience was so draining, I opted for dessert to go. Our waiter assured us 5-10 minutes tops on getting this ready to go. 13 minutes later it finally arrives, and I could not have left any quicker. The food was excellent as always and cooked to perfection. It’s unfortunate our waiter has to dampen the evening.
Excellent place. The only issue we had was my wife and I both got a 14oz. ribeye steak. We split a salad and a baked potato. She had two drinks. I had an $11.00 glass of wine. It cost us $199.00. Seemed pricy considering what we ordered. All else was excellent.
It was Valentine's Day and we were looking for something special. The Boulevard Steakhouse has always been our go to place when we wanted be together without a lot of people around us making a lot of noise. The Steakhouse went above and beyond for couples that night with a room of only couples. Great food as always and great, great service. We'll be back.
Reservations were at 7:30, and the table wasn’t ready. The owner recommended we go to the bar (not on his tab for the inconvenience but on ours). We did, only to find they ran out of a type of bourbon. Twenty minutes past our reservation we finally get seated. Steven our waiter from NC was great. The kitchen got “backed up” food was super slow, waited for main meal to come out for ever. When it was finally brought out, they forgot our twice baked potato and my wine. Brought the wine shortly after, but the potato arrived almost towards the end of our meal and YES it was ice cold in the center. By the time they finally brought it out, we had completed the meal, drinks and all. Food was average at best, kitchen was slow getting HOT food out, certainly not worth $175. The sad part is I took a friend from out of town and told him he wouldn’t be disappointed... Thanks BLVD for making a liar out of me.
Every single thing about this experience was wonderful. We celebrated our 5th anniversary here and just lived it. The service, drinks, and omg the food! Every single thing we ate was delicious. This is definitely a luxury experience but completely worth it for a special occasion!
we had not been in years - pleasantly surprised at how great the steaks were. One of the best wine lists in the City. Extremely professional and knowledgeable about the food and wine - wine pairing. Julie, the manager, and wait staff (Audreyanna and Floyd) were the best! Thanks for a wonderful evening.
We met some friends at Boulevard to celebrate some recent happenings. Two of us had never been and had heard stellar things so our expectations were high. The meal and the service exceeded expectations! My filet was cooked perfectly and my cocktails were super delish. My favorite item, though, was probably the crab cakes. They were great for sharing and had a delectably crunchy outside. We'll definitely be back the next time we feel like treating ourselves!
The food was great but it was a cold night and was cold in the restaurant. We had to put our coats back on early during the meal but no one even asked us about that. We felt the need to rush a bit through the meal just so we could go somewhere else to warm up. When we were seated, we were asked if it was a special occasion to which we replied that it was our anniversary. However, no one even mentioned anything about it afterward. Why ask if you aren't going to even say "happy anniversary" or "congratulations" or something. It was as if we said nothing. The waitstaff seemed a bit distracted but the restaurant was not that busy. It was very disappointing for an anniversary dinner.
WE HAVE BEEN HERE BEFORE BUT IT HAS BEEN A WHILE. OUR LAST VISIT WAS JUST SO SO. BUT TO OUR SURPRISE IT WAS EXCELLENT! A YOUNG MAN NAMED JUSTIN WAS OUR WAITER AND HE TOOK CARE OF OUR EVERY THING. WE DID NOT HAVE TO ASK FOR ANYTHING. HE IS A ROCK STAR!!!! OUR FOOD WAS AWESOME. WE WILL BE BACK BECAUSE OF HIM!!!
Had reservations for 7:45 on New Year's Eve. Arrived in time table not ready. In dinning room. Asked to go to lounge and wait for table to open up. With in 15 minutes we were told our table was in the lounge right behind us. Funny, had been vacant while we were there. Declined that table and waited ten more minutes. Then we were told that the chefs table was for us. Not impressed. Like being in solitary confinement. We saw no one and no one saw us.
Perfect dinner from beginning cocktails to end. We had delicious fresh oysters with a champagne mignonette then a fresh Boulevard house salad, divine truffled mushroom soup and the best 8 oz. filet. The steak was flavorful, perfectly cooked with superb texture. The Au Gratin potatoes were a yummy side, and their bread is hot, fresh and light...so delectable with their unique butter. The house Cabernet was smooth and we enjoyed our house made brandy ices! We look forward to returning soon!
I have been going to Boulevard Steak House almost from its beginning. I know this is its 20th year in business. In the beginning it was our top choice for special event and special friends dining and it always would have had a 5 star rating. The last two years I have seen a decline in food offerings and quality of offerings. This visit I ordered a wedge salad and it came out as a piece of ice burg lettuce with minimal blue cheese dressing ( no crumbles, a slice of white onion and a slice of tomato not even placed to look tasty. I expected more from a top restaurant. I get a 10 times better wedge at BJ's for half the price. I did complain and the salad was no charged for but the evening was certainly tainted from the beginning. I expected lamb on the menu it wasn't there. It was my wife's 70th birthday and the waiter said thy had a special desert for her and later return and says that extra has been discontinued--just select something from the menu. I ordered an expresso and it was delivered in a large coffee cup with the waiter saying they didn't have small expresso cups.
All of this convinces me that the bad reviews I say on open table are becoming true. I certainly hope that management is paying attention t he reviews and brings this place back up to its original standards before the lack of business causes them t close. Edmond really needs a quality restaurant in town where the residents can take special quests and have special events an g top quality food, wine and service.
Probably wont go back unless I see better reviews or hear from friends that things have improved.
