NYE dinner will showcase two set menus over two seatings with live music. Reservations between 5PM and 6:30PM will enjoy a $125 tasting menu and will be subject to a 2 hour dining time. Reservations after 8PM will enjoy the premium $198 dollar menu and are free to enjoy the countdown.

Disappointed with this restaurant. Overall found this place to be very pretentious for absolutely no reason, wines are horrifically overpriced, food was fair and service from staff is to be desired. They have a beautiful collection of wines however you can only enjoy these if you are willing to spend >$110/bottle. I believe the lowest price for a red was $75-$80
The food was fair. Nothing so outstanding or so amazing. And the staff we all found fairly rude and opinionated.
Would not visit and would not recommend. Not a good value for meal. Especially for Vancouver!!!

This is our second time trying out the Tasting Menu in 6 months. I personally like the summer menu more because of the prawn and the halibut dish. However, I found the wine pairing this time is better. Enjoyed the service always, thank you.

Happy hour is great with $2 oysters including lovely sauces to go with them.
Beets appetizer is delicious, sablefish entree was very nice, and the dessert platter decadent.

Very noisy with loud obnoxious adjacent tables shouting over one another. Food very tasty but smaller than expected portions for the price compared to other similar restaurants in the area.

Food was excellent. However, service needs some improvement. We have asked for the bread/pastry packed up to go. One of the waiter gave us the to go package. After we finished our main course, we had some leftovers which we also asked for to go. A second waiter can back with the package. The first waiter then came back telling us that the first package he gave us was the wrong package. We told him it should be correct, because we have asked for the pastry to go as well, but he insisted that he delivered the wrong one, so he took away our first package. There were three boxes in our second to go package, so we’ve assumed that one of the box would be the pastry, however, we found out after we got home that the pastry is missing, which was supposed to be the first package that the first waiter took it away from us.

Throughout the whole night, our waiter never came by and asked if everything is alright. There were couple of orders that we have to ask our waiter to check with the kitchen to for the status.

Definitely some improvements on the services are required.

It was our first visit to Boulevard. I brought my mother to celebrate her name day. Bo greeted us as we entered the restaurant, he took our coats, and escorted us to our table. He was friendly and welcoming. Our server, Tiffany, was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and personable. Liam, the sommelier, was keenly aware of our preferences and did a great job of recommending a wine to complement our meal. He was warm and inviting, approaching our table at well paced intervals to ensure our satisfaction. The meal hit all the right notes. The mini cornbread was scrumptious and appetizing, leading us to our first course, the charcoal grilled spanish octopus, which was tender and flavourful with Mediterranean subtleties. We shared the main course, the venison. It offered a fine balance of texture and taste, cooked rare to medium rare, with a savoury depth of flavours. The wine, a Chianti, rounded out our palate and pleasingly elevated our meal. For dessert, we enjoyed the refreshingly light and sinfully sweet mille feuille, and our tastebuds and senses ascended to heaven as we indulged in the decadent pleasure of the alpaco chocolate soufflé. It was a memorable evening of fine cuisine, friendly service, and relaxed elegance. We plan to return.

I was visiting Vancouver for one night and chose Boulevard for my one and only dinner - and I am SO glad I did!! This was one of the greatest fine dining meal I’ve had in a very long time. It was a beautiful setting with excellent & attentive service

FEEL RIPPED OFF by this restaurant! We dine out regularly, love fine dining, great food, and nice restaurants, but this one is definitely off the list! Our group of four went Friday for a pre-show drink and appetizers. We ordered the seafood tower just something light, and the waiter said if you are a little hungry after I would suggest the feature appetizer Ravioli. No mention of the price (buyer beware now we will ALWAYS ASK). It is one single ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese and shaved truffles on top. So we ordered two, " just something little"; the waiter was highly suggesting it. Now we know why, the bill arrives and each ravioli is $50, so $100 for an after thought appetizer. Not impressed that we were not told the price ahead of time, because we clearly would not have ordered it.
There is a plethora of amazing restaurants in Vancouver to visit, this is NOT one of them.

Amazing experience as always! I had the pasta dish this time and was blown away. Most satisfying pasta i’ve ever had. Kudos to our server who was great at accommodating the picky eaters at our table :)

Had to move the reservation from the original time at 8 pm on a Saturday to 10:30--arriving by train, very late. Restaurant was very helpful. Unfortunately, because of the late hour we couldn't try the tasting menu, which is the main attraction. So comments refer only to oyster/raw bar. Seafood tower was fine, but it's hard to mess that up. Considering we were in Vancouver, price seemed excessive for seafood that was either raw or simply steamed. Excellent wine suggestion, great value. If you want simple seafood, you can't get better quality but you can get a better price at a less elegant place.

I always recommend clients there as I love oysters as well as the decor. The service is always very in your face, obnoxious and too much. I was hoping it would be different this time , but no such luck. Obviously the servers are told to do the whole introduction and explanation of everything like we’re 3 yr old, but it is annoying and too much. Everyone at the table commented on how irritating the server was, plus she had a high pitched voice which didn’t help.
She asked 4 times if we were finished the dessert plate. They need to be trained to show respect of people’s privacy during a meal.
Super expensive for what you get. Will think twice before recommending it again.

I chose this restaurant after reading up about the head chef Alex Chen.
When we arrived, he was having a special viewing for his winning the Iron Chef. Amazing atmosphere.

We were greeted by the host, was asked a few times if we had reservations. Which we did, booked through here on OpenTable. I mentioned it was my first time, and girlfriend’s birthday.

I cannot complain about the food at all, it was absolutely, amazing, but the service, completely unsatisfied with it.

We were not served bread, while everyone else around us was, we didn't ask as we thought maybe the server just forgot, or maybe he was just having a rough day. We get it, everyone does. Server didn't remember the menu off hand, just another note, this is critical if you're the server.

We did ask him to suggest a few dishes, we did listen, and the food was fantastic, the Honey Mussels, 10/10. We looked forward and wanted to enjoy our time at dinner celebrating the special day. But we did notice we weren't served as well as any of the other tables. Some tables even had two servers! One helper, and one server, we had one and he was only serving two other tables on top of ours. But it made it seem like he was running around like a chicken with his head chopped off.

We finished our meal, asked for the menu dessert, like I said, it was my girlfriend’s birthday, so I wanted to make sure we get everything. But we sat there, and waited, and waited, 15 - 20mins later, the waiter came back and asked what we wanted. I said the check please. Which he forgot, and we kept just sitting there waiting and waiting.

Would I say the night was ruined, no because we made the best out of what we could?
Disappointed? Extremely, especially with the price tag we paid for the meal.

Would I come back, probably not, at least not anytime soon.
Food was amazing, but service, was a complete disaster.

That night was particularly busy and loud; it turned out that Chef Alex Chen was on iron chef Canada, but I only found out as I was leaving; I wish I had known sooner I would have cheered with the crowd! 😊 congrats on the win chef Chen, well deserved!
Food was delicious as always and service was good despite the activity level. I will surely come back soon

Met a colleague coming into town, a social dinner. The venue was louder than expected, enough so that we noticed and discussed the level. There were a surprising number of young children at several tables. Very little privacy although tables were far enough apart. The seafood tower came with more than expected and all was tasty, only critique was that the tasting dishes came with no extra utensils. We both had the sea bass, which was excellent and well presented. The sesame seed praline dessert was better than expected, chocolate and nuts but soft rather than hard. The chocolate souffle was good but for chocoholics only. Service was good but not exceptional. I would go back for the food, however, it is not a place for a romantic evening.

Great experience. Recommend by a NYC self described “foodie”, he was spot in. Staff was excellent, definitely made experience what it was. Food was delicious. Great wine list. Would highly recommend for any occasion, from special occasions to just a weekday meal. We will come back again.
Seafood was delicious. Corn bread muffins wonderful. Dessert fantastic.

The best part of Boulevard was probably the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It looked like everyone actually cared about their establishment and that was great to see. The food and drinks were also superb!

This time is for my birthday. In term of foods and services, they never ever disappoint us. Wonderful foods, great taste, romantic environment, and service with heart. All of them are nice, and that’s the main reason we always go back, and of cos, the chef is great too. Highly recommended!!

NOISY . Had to raise my voice.
Food is good esp. the seafood linguine which I had second time in 3 weeks.
The seafood tower is OK but not worth the money of $65 for two or $108 for four.
Service is good by mature professional servers not some transient persons unable to find other jobs.

Our waitstaff Jorge was very attentive and informative of the menu and recommendations. He went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. Food was amazing with energetic bar/lounge/restaurant feel.

I had the halibut special and it was perhaps the best halibut I've ever had - moist, tender, subtle yet flavorful - in an imaginative and well-balanced preparation. My wife's sablefish was also excellent. Service was great, and we enjoyed the ambience.
