Seafood Tower for Four
wild bc sidestripe shrimp, albacore tuna tataki, read island mussel escabèche, dungeness crab louie, snow crab legs, shrimp, local oysters
shallot mignonette, cocktail sauce, thai espuma
mussels, clams, sidestripe shrimp, humboldt squid, shellfish butter sauce, calabrian chili breadcrumb
Overall we all enjoyed our meals. The $20 martini was a bit over the top in terms of what you got for that price and the scallops were scant (2) for the main on the dine out menu. We were put off that one of the options for the main on the dine out menu had an add'l $12 charge, so really there were only 2 options for the $59 price advertised.
Not likely to do the dine out here again.. but we still enjoyed our meals and had a fun evening.
Excellent service. The Halibut was amazing. We also absolutely loved the earl grey ice cream and the pear dessert delicious
Went out for a nice dinner. The cocktails were good ($16-18) and the presentation of the food was fantastic. The risotto was very good. Portion sizes are a bit small. One thing we were a bit disappointed in was there was an option to upgrade the risotto with scallops for $20 which we did and it came with two scallops! A bit ridiculous to pay $10 a scallop (they were the small size scallops)
Seafood tower was excellent. Service timing good. Wine selection by Somm very good as well. Recommend.
The food was tasty but for a seafood restaurant it has very few pescatarian dishes because they add or use bone broth here and bacon there. This seemed odd to me. Also, I am Celiac so they added an extra layer of option complication. The only safe (GF) dessert for me was ice cream or sorbet. The ice cream was delicious but it would have been nice to have a non-frozen GF dessert or two to choose from. Creme brulee, anyone?
Overall for the price it didn't stand up food and service-wise when compared to what we've experienced at other higher-end restaurants with similar price points.
Seafood tower was ok. The crab was fresh and the oysters flavourful. Beef carpaccio was presented well, but marbling in the meat wasn’t consistent. Soup was good but a touch too creamy. Desserts were excellent - delicate flavours and good balance.
Recommend coming here for the oysters and dessert. They also made a nice piece for our anniversary dinner which was a nice touch.
Asked for a specific drink and was brought a different one. I was asked to try it and if I didn't like it they would take it back. It was ok so I didn't bother. They came back and asked if we wanted another drink. We said in a while we might. The server decided it was time and just brought us 2 more drinks. We wouldn't have ordered them a second time for sure. Our bill was over $600 and we didn't even finish everything. Never did get the drinks we wanted and tipped the way we felt we were treated. Very Rushed. Probably won't go back and wouldn't suggest it for others. There are way to many places out there to have that experience for that price.
Absolutely stunning food and service , very attentive , recommend to all , I was here for a 10 year anniversary and it was spectacular!!!!!

Good night all was well. Need valet parked at front door
Our waiter made a couple of errors but they were of little consequence and easily rectified. He was very pleasant and served us well. Food very good-we really enjoyed ourselves. Thankfully the music was kept at a low level; a problem we often find in restaurants nowadays is loud thumping music which is not conducive to conversation.
Hello Harold, Thank you very much for your review, we appreciate the kind words and positive feedback. We are pleased to offer a space that all can enjoy so thank you for letting us know. We hope to see you again soon, have a Happy New Year! Sincerely, Johann Hart Restaurant Manager Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar email@example.com
The hotel and restaurant looked beautiful but the general atmosphere was really underwhelming. We booked it for the New Year Eve Countdown but it wasn't exactly the vibe we expected, didn't feel very festive.
I also think the restaurant's New Year offer was a joke. For $90 + tax and gratuities you got a platter, which sounded quite good, but literally all it had was 2 poached oysters, 3 and a half shrimps, 2 arancini balls, 2 tiny foie gras terrine pieces on toast, and 6 pieces of chocolate. It looked sad and pathetic. I thought it was very disappointing.
Unfortunately the app doesn't let me add a photo of our New Year Eve "feast", which is probably good for the restaurant because it looks much worse than my description of it.
We left without waiting for a countdown to find a better party because with no holiday mood and no food there was no point in staying in the restaurant.

Every month or two we pick one of Vancouver's top rated restaurants to dine out with our friends with the hope experiencing an exceptional meal and sampling every restaurant on the various Various top dining restaurant experiencing in Vancouver. Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar deserves its place on any top 10 list.
We are not rich, but we save up so we can splurge on a memorable night out. If you are like us and don't want to waste your rare night out on a sub par experience, I hope this helps you on picking where to go.
The Venue is perfect. It has a front area for more of a cocktail vibe and a back end area if you are looking for a private dining experience. It is also located in the Sutton Place Hotel and shares a spot with one of the nicest lounges in Vancouver, a great place to transition to before ending the night. I highly recommend not missing out on the lounge.
We started with a seafood tower with was some of the freshest fish I have ever enjoyed. The Wine manager was spot on with all their wine pairings all night. We all enjoyed unique appetizers that hit a 5 our of 5. I had the halibut. It was not only the highest quality piece of fish I have had, but done absolutely perfectly. All 4 of our party rated their appy and main 5 stars.
The service was second to none. At one point, after being told the specials for the night and the server departing, one of our guests said she missed what one of the specials were. Our server reappeared out of thin air to make sure we were all aware of the specials. Just a small example of the high quality service we experienced.
We sample dozens of different drinks, all spot on. Our desserts were out of this world.
No drink or food put infront of us was anything but 5 star. Our server was top notch and raised the bar. If you are looking for a safe bet on a top notch experience and a memorable night out, we highly recommend Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar.
Great food, amazing service, overall awesome atmosphere and experience!
Our server was amazing. The food was amazing. Overall a 10/10 experience!
Hi Abby, Thank you very much for your lovely review! We appreciate your kind words and we thank you for your support! We look forward to seeing you again soon! Happy New Year! Sincerely, Johann Hart Restaurant Manager Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar email@example.com
The first two courses were excellent, however I did choose items that were on their regular menu - the clam chowder and the oysters. The next two courses were less successful as they were not, apparently, on the regular menu. The New York striploin was cooked as a roast, instead of individual steaks which meant it would be harder to tell if there was issues with how tender it might be. The second attempt at an entree was the seafood linguine and unfortunately the pasta was not cooked enough. The second plate of pasta was to salty on top and I had to request some warm cream to mix in cut that extra saltiness that the first plate did not have. The dessert was equally disappointing in that their pastry chef forgot that a buche de Noel typically has cake in it as it is basically a Christmas Swiss roll. The Apple compote that it said was in it was not a compost it was something called Apple gelatin. In case you cannot tell I am a chef myself and, have a baking and pastry arts diploma on top of that. I will not be back to Boulevard for a one-off menu, as the regular menu items I did have were excellent I might go back on a regular day.
This is our second year having Christmas Dinner & found it did not compare to last year’s Christmas Dinner or their Easter Dinner this year, the quality and taste was ok, not great. We ordered the linguine with meatballs but did not want the meatballs because we don’t eat beef. You would think that they would add more pasta but literally it was 3 bites of pasta for the price they charged was outrages for noodles & tomatoes sauce. We ended up ordering another additional entree for our son on top of the lesser than appetizer sized linguine. We ordered that same dish for our son each time we’ve been there and never has it been an appetizer sized portion for a meal.
Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to write this review, we appreciate the feedback very much. We have let the kitchen team know of your review and they are looking into the portion sizes of our linguine. We truly appreciate your support during this time and look forward to seeing you again soon and making it up to you. Feel free to contact me anytime. Thank you & Happy New Year, Johann Hart Restaurant Manager Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar firstname.lastname@example.org
Food was excellent and portions were generous! Have been here many times and never disappointed.
It was a pleasure to dine at Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar. The server was courteous and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was exceptional, except we wished everyone's dishes would have been brought to the table at the same time. Also, our 2nd aperitif drink arrived after our main dish had been served. The espressos were a little too short and not hot enough.
Both the lamb and cod provençale were very well prepared and plated beautifully. The flavours were perfect. Overall a great dining experience. We look forward to dining at Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar again.
No bread to start as we are accustomed to in high end restaurants. No bread was available when asked. Only small portion of corn bread provided on request. Not very tasty.
Clam chowder portion small in a large bowl. No hot enough.
Pasta not well done in seafood linguine.
Server not very attentive. Probably too busy serving too many tables.
Striploin steak ordinary. Sauce too thick. Garnish and potatoes were in sparing supply and did not deliver in taste.
Sablefish good but not spectacular.
Lighting too low, making reading menu difficult.

Nice place ,excellent food for gathering with family and friends.
Everything was good except the wine pairing to the set menu was so so.
Beef and foie gras are good. And this "Canada No.1 ice cream” It's also recommended. You can try it
Great, Friendly, Attentive service. Always enjoy dining here, our favourite spot.
Thank you for taking care of us Ali (Server) & Jacob (Host/Mgr). Everyone are kind & professional, love this Place...! Looking to a Safe & Great 2022...!! :)

Happy New Year, stay safe! Sincerely, Johann Hart Restaurant Manager Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar firstname.lastname@example.org
Expected better service for the price I am paying. Half the table was not even clean, there was still crumbs all over on the table when we sat down! Our main server did not even ask if we’d like another drink and simply just took the glass away. No water refills either. The place was super cold, didn’t take our jacket off during dinner. Food overall was good but wouldn’t come back for this kind of service as there are plenty of options in the city.

Food is excellent per usual. We celebrated our anniversary with you two years ago. Last year was not doable in this pandemic. Richard was a very personable waiter.
My experience at the Boulevard was excellent. The ambulance is quiet, the service is excellent. And the drinks were well prepared and tasty. Would definitely go back again.
Came for desserts.
Nothing spectacular but the service was great!
My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary (41 years). We were here celebrating our anniversary last year as well and it was amazing. This year was even better, the food was spectacular, the service was phenomenal, all the little touches that the restaurant did to make us feel special. Definitely one of our favorite Vancouver restaurants.
On the higher end for prices
We sat near the entrance which may have contributed to the high noise level
Had a wedding Anniversay Dinner and everything was perfect and icing on the cake was the complimentary dessert which was delicious Thank you.
Came here for my birthday with my daughter.
It is a bar, so you can imagine how noisy it could be after work. The business was actually quite good ~ when I came here at 5.30, the whole place is full, and there are still people waiting at reception.
I have to say the food is pretty good: local oyster is very fresh & delicious in fair price. Wagyu carpaccio is very well seasoned, amazing. And clam chowder brings warm & happiness from your tongue to your heart.
Cod is a good choice, it fried so well, somehow looks like a piece of cake, tender & juicy. Lamb duo is also perfectly cooked, sauce is good and side dish is very tasty.
The restaurant surprised me with a piece of free cake, presented in a plate with wonderful blessings, thanks so much. Well, to be frank, the pear ice cream, or apple & chestnut ice cream is much better, don't miss it in your visit.
The service, is okay. I noticed a waitress broke vase when she was cleaning the table. But don't forget it is a bar, no need to be too serious. In this cozy place, relax yourself, enjoy the wonderful foods, that's the only thing you should do.
Treat yourself. Get a seafood tower. Get one or two of the specials. Have some wine recommended to you. Yolo.
The Price Fix menu was fantastic. My friends and I, each thoroughly enjoyed our meal from the appetizer to the dessert. Each item was better than I'd hoped for.
Breakfast was good. Plating was nice. It was tasty.
The venue was loud, food was expensive, poorly cooked and served in small portions. On three occasions wine was served that we had not asked for so had to be sent back. Valiant attempts were made by our server but overall the experience was very disappointing especially as we had been looking forward to a special dinner out.
While the food was well-prepared and presented, the general ambience and experience did not justify the price.
Wonderful restaurant! Great food great atmosphere and great service! A little on the noisy side but still thoroughly enjoyable!
