Boulevard is connected to the iconic Gerard Lounge at Sutton Place Hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver featuring an oyster bar, private dining room and a large outdoor patio. This restaurant is the new showcase for the legendary and artistic fare of Chef Alex Chen. His inspiration comes from French traditions with a respect for the past while staying both current and modern. The flavour profiles were rich and definitely decadent, however the selection was lacking. I was disappointed that both their desserts contained gelatin and the only one that didn’t was a sorbet. I don’t agree with paying that much for a set meal only to get a plain (small scoop) of sorbet for dessert.

Unfortunately was not for me. We went to try the dine out and unfortunately it didnt even happen. When we arrived there the ambient is very beautiful, and service very friendly.
My partner is a cook chef, so we really like to explore good restaurants, even higher scale than Boulevard. But we wanted to give them a chance.
What bothered me was how "cheap" they are. I was super interested on the steak, but then I noticed a note with an extra $5 to the price which could be understandable if was a really good cut or with reasonable sides. If you want to play Dine out, play it right. Even The Victor was offering SO MUCH better stuff (steak tartare, beef tenderloin, everything for the same $45). So when i started to understand where I was, things started to get even worst when they asked us if we wanted some bread but there as a change for $5 for it. Im like... how broke you guys are? Im wondering like, we have been to superior sophisticate restaurants michelin stars and I was never charge for bread, I thought it was a joke or they are really having a financial problem.
I will be honest, the problem is never the money, we like paying more for good food but Boulevard is the first restaurant we go and we literally ordered one carpaccio and left . For the fact we are VERY experienced in regards food and service, it was very funny when they charged us the bread. The only thing I could thing was " I dont deserve to be in this poor restaurant" I can pay for more and get more. And thats what we did, went to Elisa Steakhouse that was not even offering dine out and we had a great experience.

Boulevard is a place I wouldn’t normally visit as it’s quite fancy and pricey, but I tried it for Dine Out Vancouver because you get a three course meal for $45. I went for happy hour first which did not disappoint! The Moscow mule is not too sweet or spicy, and the happy hour white was just perfect. The three course meal was fantastic, even the complimentary break basket is great. It comes with little mini cornbreads and sourdough, which were great along with the mushroom consommé I had as a starter.

Lousy brunch menu
Ordered French omelette came with no sides but had to order separate. Ordered Country sausage as a side which had a foul smell. Wife ordered toast and came with no butter or jam ordered butter which was rock solid cold so hard to put on toast.
Paid $80 for two French omelette ,sausage,toast . Tea and coffee. Lousy service and not a good value for money. Coast Seafood on Alberni Street a few blocks away has much better brunch menu, great value and better service. Won’t be going to Boulevard Club again

Wait staff were fantastic. The special entree was superb however the mains were served with some delay between diners resulting in two meals becoming cold.

The head chef came to meet diners at a table adjacent and ignored everyone else the restaurant.

Probably a one off - preferable venues in Vancouver that are less pretentious and better fare.

New Year’s Eve dinner. Arrival guest service was below average. Food was amazing and server was awesome. Sommelier seemed to be more focused on expensive wine vs what I was actually looking for. Live band was nice but expected free Champaign which was only available for people who lasted till 12:00. THIS PLACE IS A FAV FOR US but for the price it was not really there overall.

Everything was perfect as usual. The food was absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. We just thought the entrees in the set menu were too light in term of food.
Congratulations to the entire team for offering such a good experience on a busy night like New Year’s Eve.

we absolutely love this place - top 5 in the world for us! this time, we invited 5 friends to join us to celebrate the holidays - hosting without cooking! everyone was delighted with everything - favourites were the foie gras, seafood towers and, of course, the oysters ... the service was fantastic (thank you, Lisa, JP and everyone!) - of course, we'll be back again, and again!

Been here a gazillion times. Classy place for a great meal, food was well prepared. Seafood is fresh. While pricey, it is well worth it for any occasion.

First visit to Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar and it certainly won’t be my last. I very much enjoyed the clam chowder. It was tasty, full of seafood and just the right consistency. The chicken in my ranch salad was plentiful and succulent, the greens nice and fresh with a delicious, balanced dressing. We appreciated our server’s knowledgeable help with wine selection and it was not a problem for her to fulfill our request for cheese even though it wasn’t on the menu. The room was nicely busy, just right for a lunch in the holiday season.

The menu has become more limited, and the portions smaller, particularly given the ala carte pricing. This used to be our go to place for a reliably nice evening. I'm not sure we'll be back.
