Boulevard Five72 Ratings and Reviews
We came for brunch on Sunday and were very pleased with the price fixed brunch sharing 4 appetizers and then each person having their own entree. Portions were more than ample and everything we ordered was delicious. The unlimited mimosas and bloody marys were a pleasant bonus. I would definitely go back.
Boulevard Five72 is a mid way point for me and five of my closest friends. We travel from as far north as Westchester NY to Princeton area to the shore. This place has an amazing brunch. They’ve changed it up since the last time we were there. It was buffet style then but they now offer a family style share for 2-12 people which includes four items for the table to share plus an individual entree AND bottomless drinks including mimosas, bellinis and bloody Mary’s all for $30 PP! The food was delicious and you can’t beat the price! We already look forward to going back again!!!
It was a great experience to have dinner at Boulevard Five72. It was a double date with my friends and we had a wonderful time. First, our server was attentive. The food was exquisite. We, ladies, ordered cocktails and also we all had a bottle of the Kenwood Merlot. The cod and bass were cooked perfectly and the lamb chop was a 10. The ambiance was so warm and romantic. We never expected to have such a great time and delicious dinner. Highly recommend to anyone.
The place is awesome, has character not your typical restaurant and wait staff are attentive. The food is amazing. You will want to go back again and again. It reminds me of the way restaurants use to be were they cared about you and appreciate your business.
A very typical NJ American restaurant, with very good food albeit a bit too complicated. But good. And a good selection of wines. One drawback: there really isn't a choice for vegetarians on the menu. I don't eat meat but I can deal with fish, but a real vegetarian person will have to ask for something to be made. Service is good and fast, our waiter was maybe a bit pushy, but all in all a good dining experience.
Celebrated my sister’s birthday at this lovely restaurant. We ordered angus filet mignon with blue cheese crust, cavatelli and braised short ribs and Blvd seafood risotto. All the dishes were prepared beautifully and were delicious!! This restaurant never disappoints and look forward to going back!
Prix Fixe Menu was a very good value. Excellent selection. The wait staff was very nice but the young bus boy looked like deer in the head lights. I did have a fingerprint on my wine glass which was a bit off putting.
But overall the food was delicious and well prepared.
The portions were large and I could not possibly finish the lamb shank that was tender and the risotto that accompanied it was also prepared well.
The Linguini with clam sauce was liked by my husband. The dessert tray was a nice addition too.
We have been to Boulevard for many occasions. Anniversaries, birthdays , brunch and date nights. We have never been disappointed. If I have one critique it is sometimes quite noisy. The staff is always friendly and David especially is great. Would recommend highly
We had attended two corporate Christmas parties and indulged in the family style brunch for several celebrations at Boulevard 572 and were always very pleased. The food was excellent this time, as always. However, the service was horrendous. First, your servers couldn't get the coffee orders right. We had to wait, because there was no brewed coffee ready--at brunch!--and then the decaf was undrinkable. Then, the little dishes for all three sauces for the beignets we ordered were practically empty, and the chocolate sauce was not melted. By the time they came back with the correctly prepared and portioned sauces, the beignets were cold. We had to request warm ones. We had asked the waiter if the omelets included potatoes and were told that there was a small order on the plate. When they served the omelets, there were no potatoes on the plate, and then we were told that omelets didn't come with potatoes. They brought us a side order and charged us for it.
We don't plan to return.
Love, love, love this place. The “festive drinks” were flowing . The brunch menu selection was very diverse. All my girls were impressed and we will return.
I gave the food 4 stars because the French Toast was a bit undercooked. But, the rest of the food was delicious!
Came after a local business meeting. I was in a rush and ate at the bar, because I came in early...5:30ish. Nice service. The duck was very good and the Belgium endive salad was ok. The bartender was a good guy. Wolfed it down and hit the road for a 5.5-hour drive back to Pittsburgh.
My girlfriend and I had a great experience. The staff helped me with my special requests for my marriage proposal. John our server was very helpful and accomodating. The food was delicious, the setting was delightful, the service was amazing, and the evening went perfectly. I would definitely recommend for special occasions or just a nice place to eat.
They need to educate their servers. Sloppy in deliverance of utensils, drinks should be brought to
a table of 4 at the same time. When restaurant is half empty, you shouldn't have to wait 20 minutes for a drink, after asking the waiter for the cocktail menu. The food is very good, but service on several occasions is just adequate.
Charming and pleasant place with lovely decor, very good food and service that is sincere and friendly. Wine list is acceptable, and some very good values to be found. Two of us had fish- cod and salmon- both prepared to perfection with interesting preparations that will appeal to most tastes. Our third had a gorgeous strip steak that was big enough for two to share- cooked to perfection and pronounced delicious. Desserts are creative and not too sweet- at least the apple upsidedown cake and the key lime cheesecake fit that bill. Only complaint is that the chairs seem a bit low for the table height and none of them have arms.
This place is my absolute go-to for Sunday brunch! It's honestly a steal. For only $30 per person you pick four appetizers and a full entree PLUS unlimited drinks! I've been to brunch places were the drinks were $10 a piece and the bill easily racks up to $100+ for only two people but not here! My mom and I had seven mimosas each and a full meal and it came out to only $64. The food is delicious, the drinks are amazing, and the atmosphere is so nice that I recommend this place to literally everyone I know that enjoys a little (or a lot) of bubbly on a nice Sunday afternoon.
Only problem was that I had asked for some sort of candle or writing on plate for my friends birthday. We ordered the dessert and no note of the birthday. A shame because I put it into special instructions on the reservation. So why ask if there are any special requests if the restaurants do no read the notes?
Unfortunately, brunch wasn't as good as I remembered the last 2 times I was there. Portions are small, almost kid size omelets. What a shame considering the price. We left there hungry.
Service - I hate to call them out, as they work hard for little pay + tips but my server was so spaced out. I asked if the pancakes in sharing portion was like silver dollars, he said no its full size. "is the blueberry & banana on the side or inside the pancakes" its on the side. We receive the pancakes, with barely any blueberries - maybe 2 and no bananas and a fruit plate (which we thought was free) b/c of the wait and no blueberries or bananas on the pancake. I receive the bill for $8 fruit plate that we never ordered.
I asked my 3 other friends, first timers, if they liked it and want to go again, they all said no... i agree. Not many great brunch places in Union County except this one and I even raved about it. Too bad it didn't hold up to par.
