Lovely meal. We go for all our special occasions. As always service was excellent. Wine list and food were amazing. We will be back soon.
This place is AMAZING! 10 stats for not only the food, but the service as well!
It is always so nice here and feels very quaint. It is calm and the servers are so personal.
Boulevard Bistro has become our anniversary dinner spot. We’ve fined here about 3 or 4 time now and we’ve never been disappointed. The food is always well-prepared and the servers are attentive.
The only negative is the corkage fee. The menu link on Open Table indicated a fee of $15; however, when we got there, the server mentioned it was $20. Although we knew there would be a corkage fee, $20 is a bit steep ($15 is more palatable, but still high).
Great food and service. A great date or special occasion restaurant with well-crafted meals.
Four old friends dined here and had a wonderful meal. The steaks were done to perfection. Everyone loved the salad. One member of the group who often has difficulty hearing in restaurants remarked about how quiet it was so he could easily hear all of us speaking. This is the best restaurant in Elk Grove, by far.
Wonderful atmosphere, excellent food, and great service!
Fantastic Easter Sunday brunch! Very unique setting in a house converted to restaurant.
It is always guaranteed that the meal will be fantastic from chef Brent. First time having Sunday brunch starting with Bloody Mary or Mimosas. After ordering, the waiter brings a refreshing plate of fruit and cheeses on the house . People need to be aware that reservation are almost always a must because the old remodeled house is small so doesn’t seat many. We especially enjoy the restaurant because of the soft music and not so loud that no one can hear each other talk. We stay away from those types of restaurants .. There is of course plenty of free parking behind the restaurant and easy for wheelchairs also . Dinners are also excellent and menu changes regularly , but keeps his signature dishes.
Everything was perfect, from walking in and getting seated right away, phenomenal service and fantastic food.
I had a wonderful experience at Boulevard Bistro! The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. Everyone raved about their meal. Great wine selection too! I will be back.
The food was AMAZING as usual from the appetizers to the desserts!
Always wonderful!
The waiter recommended the perfect Chardonnay for me; Foley Johnson - soft, creamy & not overly sweet.
The asparagus appetizer was delicious; loved the seasoning. We also enjoyed the olive appetizer. Chef Bohlmann made me a delicious spring vegetable cassoulet. My husband had the filet; thick & tender, as always. He enjoyed a nice Zinfandel with his filet.
We also enjoyed the focaccia bread served with the meal. That’s a nice change.
The service is always spot on. They even offered to bring me another glass of Chardonnay because they thought it wasn’t cold enough. Perfectly paced, too!
We’ll definitely be back.
Spectacular food, as always. My favourite restaurant in California. Terrific service and ambiance. We love this place!
we were given a gift card from our son and daughter-in-law the food we very good and generous portions we we so full we could not have dessert next time we will
Amazing place
It was my second time visiting this hidden gym so had very high expectations. Unfortunately, expectations were not met in comparison to the first time. Filet mignon cut was not the highest quality since there was a big chunk of uneatable fat. Asked for medium but was served medium rare ‘more or less blue in the middle. It was sent back and came back medium but sliced. Took away from the full experience that I enjoyed and craved during my first visit.
What a great meal! Excellent service, perfectly prepared food, creative ingredients. Definitely coming back.
Great food and service however it was a little too warm inside the restaurant.
Very enjoyable, good food, fun wait staff lovely anniversary dinner.
Never disappointed. Food, service are outstanding. It is nice to go there and be reminded what great food and service are like.
Always, ALWAYS consistently fresh and delicious. The chef here certainly deserves recognition in my book.
I love this place. The ambiance is very intimate because you're really surrounded only by a few tables. The menu is quite small which means that it may change very often. The food was very good and left an impression on me and my wife. We ordered the filet mignon that sat on top of a cloud of mashed potatoes and asparagus on the side and a "pork pot plate" that had a trifecta of pork: sausage, pork belly, and pork medallion that sat on top of a brown pork like base sauce with barley. Our favorite was the bone marrow shared dish: smearing the marrow on the bread is a texture very close to foie gras. I would really recommend this to anyone who would really want to steer away from the norm (BJs, Macaroni Grill) and try something out better in terms of presentation, service, taste, and setting. The pricing of the food may be intimidating but don't let that digress you since you will be paying for quality food and service.
Four friends celebrating a birthday. It was perfect!
Cute restaurant and setting. Appetizers were lacking. Mussels tasted old and dried out. The bread was not fresh.
Main meal we enjoyed, but super small portion. We receive 3 asparagus spears, maybe 1/2 cup of potatoes. Sword Fish was good but not great.
Dessert lacking for price. The cake slice was so small and whip cream more like a TB.
For 4 people we spent over $200 so for the value we would not recommend.
For me and my date (beautiful wife) it is our never disappointed, go to spot. It is of the highest-quality and degree and stands tall among the best of them.
The service was wonderful and everything we ordered was superb from the salad to the dessert! The strawberry bread pudding has me wanting seconds! The filet was melt in your mouth tender and tasty.
We like going to Boulevard Bistro to have something better than casual food. Servers are very attentive & courteous! Menu selection is good variety although small. Specials are very good!
Our brunch was fantastic! The mushrooms over polenta with egg on top was very well seasoned and innovative. We all enjoyed sharing. The French toast was the best we've ever tasted, with strawberry orange syrup and bits of fruit. Even the breakfast potatoes were great. Our service was professional yet friendly. We love going to this restaurant for all meals.
Great atmosphere and fantastic food. Simple fine dining in the heart of old town Elk Grove.
The best food in Sacramento. The Filet Mignon is the best I have ever eaten. If you want a quiet dinner with excellent food this is the place. Their desserts are also very good. The owner/chef is there all the time and he makes sure every plate is perfect. He comes out to talk with customers and makes sure you are enjoying the food. Many of the ingredients are organic grown locally. I think he grows some spices in a garden area next to the restaurant.
Try this place... You'll be glad you did.
Love the food
Love the location
This was our first time dining at the Boulevard Bistro, and it was excellent! The service was outstanding and the food was perfect. It was also Valentine's Day, so they had a special 3 course menu with a lobster special. The dessert was also amazing, we had the seasonal sorbet (watermelon and mixed berry) and a lemon panna cotta.
Went to BB for Valentine's Day dinner - enjoyed the fixed price, three-course lobster dinner. The brussels sprouts appetizer was phenomenal, and everything else was incredibly delicious. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
Everything was perfect! The Chef/Owner was on hand to greet us and our meal was exactly what we wanted wanted, prepared perfectly. We were celebrating a birthday and the dessert was sumptuous! We’re looking forward to our next celebratory dinner.
We had a wonderful Anniversary dinner at the Boulevard Bistro, our server was great, food was great.
BB never disappoints. Food is always fantastic. There were just a couple of things. Our waitress who was great btw, told us the specials for the evening and took our orders.
Appetizers was served, a little bit after our entries was served. My wife and I gave a puzzled look to each other b/c we had ordered a salad and also and that usually comes before the entries. We told our waitress that we had ordered a salad. She apologized that she forgot. No biggie.
I ordered the salmon which was the best thing ever but the only thing is the portion, it use to be a little bigger if I remember correctly. This time it felt like I took a couple of bites and I was done. Even my wife noticed how tiny the portion was. Anyway, these things will not ward us off and will always be patron of BB b/c the food is just awesome.
This is our go-to spot for date night in Elk Grove. Great food, wonderful wait staff and very quiet.
I found the food good, the service excellent and the price a tad high but not out of line. What concerned me is that what is on the online menu is not necessarily on the menu given at the restaurant. I was told by our server that the meu consists of whatever the chef decides on that given day. I would not enjoy seeing something on the online menu then find it is unavailable after I am seated.
Excellent service, food and ambience! Loved our dinner and dessert.
