Boulettes Larder & Boulibar
The expert use of herbs and spices informs a Mediterranean influenced cuisine and cocktail menu.
Best food in San Francisco. Fantastic service ! Out of this world Sunday Brunch.
Lovely staff and equally lovely food!
The brunch (and eggs!) is something to experience!
There is no place in San Francisco like Boulettes Larder--or the nation as I have yet to experience. It is the one place I return to every time I visit SF. Simply the best food ever
Breakfast was well done- poached eggs on a bed of greens, and served with homemade pita. This is a thoughtful kitchen, delivering good food that is unrushed.
Outstanding menu and food selections that incorporate local items, farm to table, with focus on quality, taste, and presentation.
One of the most exquisite dining experiences in the world. Each and every aspect of preparation and presentation is perfect to the finest detail. Incomparable!
I had reservations for the restaurant but when I got there I was told it was closed for an event and was taken to the bar. We were the only people there but the service was slow. Our pizza sat under a heat lamp for 10minutes befor the server remembered us. Overall a very bad experience. It was a date night for my husband and I which I planned. I was very disappointed!
This is some of the very best food in San Francisco. The chef is on site every day and she is truly an artist. She also uses only the very best ingredients. You won't be sorry.
A favorite for breakfast and lunch!!!
For a $30 plate of scrambled eggs I am appalled at the service I received. The host was rude and told me I had made a reservation for the wrong number of people and apparently wrong location. When she realized she was mistaken, she ignored her fault and I received no apology. Once seated, the waiter was terrible. He forgot our order twice, served us our food and then coffee came 30 minutes later after asking 3 times for it. We had to grab a busser for some cream and sugar. There was a small black hair on my friend’s eggs. They also were quick to grab our plates before we were even finished. I will not go back and I will not recommmend this restaurant to anyone. Nice location but extremely sub-par service. Spent $100 on coffee and eggs for 3 people. Overrated!
A hidden gem. By far one of the best dining experiences available in the Bay Area.
When your palate wants to take a trip around the globe, this is the place to indulge it. Whether it's lamb tartare with lebanese spices or a poached eggs with squash and hungarian paprika, the flavors at Boulette's Larder & Bouli Bar will satisfy your craving for the exotic. Food is prepared with ingredients of exceptional quality and an artful presentation, turning out consistently excellent fine dining in a casual setting. A local favorite!
Good foot and view of the bridge. Unbelievably slow service, had to remind them we were there a few times.
An excellent choice for a special occasion. I recommend reservations an hour before sunset at a table with an ocean view, so one can enjoy the sunset towards the end of dinner.
Always yummy and fresh seasonal food.. A great find!
A convenient place for a healthy, well-prepared breakfast at the Ferry Building, especially for business. Prices are high for moderate portions, but quality is good and ambience is lovely, with large windows overlooking the Bay. No standard breakfast items and a very limited menu, but delicious options such as poached eggs with crispy bacon on a bed of well-seasoned collard greens. (Toast has to be ordered separately.)
excellent find on the Pier. Great food and wine! Really enjoyed being able to sit outside. Our server was a delight
We were so well taken care of; food always sublime and service was attentive. I can not recommend Boulette’s enough, a real SF gem!
Really liked owner Lori and that she was around to talk with.
Food terrific; always a struggle, though, to get a server's attention.
Service was very slow. Had to ask multiple people for drinks and our check. Food was delicious.
Although the quality of the food here remains outstanding the dining area itself could use major upkeep. Lights are out, flower arrangements were really faded, menus were wrinkled and food stained and chair covers were worn through. The service is not as caring as it should be for the prices charged. We were served but not in a very timely manner. Other diners looked disappointed by a long wait for food as well. Not sure if dogs can still be accommodated in outdoor area on Sat with the farmers market so close. Will return but not a first destination choice
La mejor comida , el mejor sazón , el menú es improvisado y cada vez es mucho mejor. Si visitas San Francisco y no pruebas Boulettes Larder haga de cuenta que no vino.
Very slow service for Saturday brunch. The restaurant is not even that crowded.
Scrambled eggs was excellent!
Cappuccino is so big!! Great breakfast
I had a few fabulous lunches in BL, but this supper was a disappointment. The cabbage soup was watery and barely warm.
The rhubarb danish pastry was far from flaky.
Delicious nettle soup and tuna salad!
Just brilliant Sunday brunch. Perfect scrambled eggs with crispy pork tenderloin. Duck breast salad might have been the best duck I have ever had. I will definitely be back.
The service was lovely and we appreciated our ability to "catch-up" undisturbed. Excellent cocktail (Manhattan) and we had appetizers which were yummy.
When we arrived, we were offered the choice of a seat inside or outside of the restaurant. We chose to sit outside; there was a lovely view of the waterfront but also a lot of construction noise going on nearby. I ordered the scrambled eggs for breakfast; they were extremely creamy and smooth.
Wonderful food, wonderful service, wonderful restaurant experience! Thank you!
Had a wonderful time, and unbelievably great food, at Boulette's Larder. The restaurant, Boulette's Larder, is on the bay side of the building, while Boulibar is on the inside/Ferry Bldg. The restaurant is casual/elegant; but Boulibar also looked super fun and a bit darker, more casual. We had champagne, the beet/hummus appetizer and the broccoli rabe pizza - the pizza was to die for mmmm. I took two slices home; is it possible it was even better on day 2? I will most definitely be back!
We had eaten lunch at Boulibar about 4-5 years ago and the food was very tasty and fresh, and there was a crowd there as well. We had dinner a couple of nights ago and we were quite disappointed that the quality has dropped considerably. We should have guessed because we were the only customers! We had the mezza of grilled octopus (good) but our marguerita pizza was soggy, filled with way too much tomato sauce, and not particularly hot. I will say our waiter was pleasant and the ambiance is lovely. So sad about the food though.
The menu offered a wonderful selection of locally sourced foods, all delicious. Service was friendly, prompt but not intrusive. We will definitely return.
People are lovely, setting is ikea cute. To be honest while the food was interesting and good it was a bit elaborate for brunch/breakfast, though definitely thought out and well executed. Overall there is an impression that the whole thing was set up to impress yuppies and suburban urbanites. Don’t get the coffee it was single sourced from the Mississippi in low tide.
If you’re looking for a simple breakfast/brunch with good ingredients, this is not that.
that was the best damn meal i have had in a long, long time. thank you. it was great to be back.
Excellent brunch choice. Be sure to reserve in the Larder. Outdoor seating could be nice if the weather cooperates.
Food was pretty good, but oddly portioned.
The service although well intentioned was sporadic at best.
Host was horrible was service staff was great.
