Mushroom linguini wasn't bad, a bit bland, but the lamb dish was so over-salty it's just ridiculous... For this price, we were really expecting better!
The food is sublime the service could be a little better.
French press coffee and poached eggs over winter greens. Lovely way to spend a Saturday morning. Excited to come back.
Although the location and atmosphere are great, food isn't impressive. They serve tea from a teabag and crackers from a package - not worth the price tag. Staff also seems inexperienced and not particularly charming. I may have high expectations comparing them to the best places in London or NYC, but they trying to look like one.
Took some business customers to lunch who’ve eaten everywhere in SF. First time for them at B’s L. They were impressed! Great space, liked the communal table, seafood salads fresh, tangy and filling. 5 stars all around!

Amazing food! We had the scrambled eggs and meatball dishes + bengiets. All 4 of us are every morsel. Can't wait to go back!
Came for opening Saturday morning. Restaurant was not quite ready when doors opened, but staff slowly picked up the pace and soon things were bustling. Food was very good and staff did make it easy to work on dietary restrictions.
I would for lunch or dinner but breakfast menu was too esoteric.

My mom and I celebrated her 75th birthday and had the most wonderful time. The staff was attentive and pleasant. The food was delicious and delightful. I have already recommended this restaurant to a friend. I definitely plan on eating here the next time I am in the city.
I went for breakfast on a Saturday morning with a friend and it was absolutely fantastic! We shared the scrambled eggs and the salmon. Both dishes were to die for! The scrambled eggs were prepared the French way (constantly stirred with lots of butter) and served with ricotta - the entire dish was rich, creamy and perfect! Kudos to the chef for preparing such incredible eggs - a simple dish that was perfection! The salmon was tender and flavorful, served with Creme Fraiche and toast. It was wonderful! I would recommend Boulettes Larder & Boulibar to anyone for breakfast and am eager to try lunch and dinner there as well!
Disappointed in the food and service. Extremely limited breakfast menu. Porridge was watery, scrambled eggs were buttery and a small serving, accompanying fish cake was bland. Ordered lattes and they were all served after everyone had finished their breakfast. Slow service. Would not visit again.

We had an early dinner here on a Saturday evening. There was only 1 server for the entire restaurant. There looked to be several bus boys and a guy who’s only job appeared to be filling water glasses. Mostly he just stood around doing nothing. Although the restaurant was at least half empty there server was too busy to provide decent service to anyone. The food was ok but not special at all. There are too many restaurants in SF that provide excellent service and food to waste money in restaurants like this.

Pros: food was delicious, our table had the seafood salad, breakfast salad and the scrambled eggs. Portions were healthy. My only recommendation is that you should serve some toast with the eggs, for a $20 egg dish, with sauce and lovely buffalo mozzarella,the toast would have made the dish look more complete.
Cons: service was a little disorganized starting with where to check in. There seemed to be a lack of communication and there’s no stand or area that is obviously where one should go. Persons bring out the food/drinks didn’t have a clear idea of whose table the food belonged to. Again, maybe just last of organization or communication.
Since this was my first time, and the food was delicious, I will assume they might be having an off day so I would come back and give them a second try.
I went with expectations of the place that preceded it or something so was disappointed by small menu that was a lot less decadent than I was ready for. Only 3 choices ...very good...but felt like health food...scrambled eggs, or smoked salmon, or hot cereal...

Had my birthday lunch here. I requested a special table and boy did they ever give it to me. Outside with a spectacular view of the bridge. Seafood salad was fresh and delicious. Service was exquisite. Can’t wait to go back and try some other items on the menu.

I made a reservation to this restaurant through opentable which the restaurant didn’t honor. We were brought to another restaurant nearby apparently of the same owner who serves pizzas and we sat at the bar. However nobody took our order. We kept asking people and everybody ditched us with a bad attitude. We ended up leaving and the bartender who never took our order smiled when he saw us leaving. I will not get back to this restaurant. Too bad their customer service is very bad.
Food is as below average and WAY overpriced. They actually charged for every refill of tiny glasses of iced tea.
Service is hit or miss at this restaurant. Last time I went I had an awesomely attentive server. Tonight our server was absentee. We sat with dessert menus for 40 minutes before final just asking for the check.
Arrived and was told to wait another 20 minutes past the reservation time to ‘possibly’ get a table. Unfriendly staff and no guarantee of a CONFIRMED RESERVATION. Left to find a different restaurant on very late notice because this one couldn’t take us. Unacceptable for foodies who planned the trip to SF around food and then left to try and find a good restaurant at 7 30- almost impossible.

There is no place in San Francisco like Boulettes Larder--or the nation as I have yet to experience. It is the one place I return to every time I visit SF. Simply the best food ever

I had reservations for the restaurant but when I got there I was told it was closed for an event and was taken to the bar. We were the only people there but the service was slow. Our pizza sat under a heat lamp for 10minutes befor the server remembered us. Overall a very bad experience. It was a date night for my husband and I which I planned. I was very disappointed!
