Boulder Creek - Brownsburg Ratings and Reviews
We did not get seated until 30 mins past our reservation time with no explanations and little apologies. When we did get seated, it was a plastic folding table with a table cloth thrown over it squeezed between other tables. Our server, Shannon was great and the food was good but don’t think I will go back again. Maybe if someone in management had apologized for whatever screw up they had with our reservation it would have changed my mind. I’ve eaten at many Cunningham group restaurants and never had an experience like this.
Of all of the Cunningham restaurants this one seems to disappoint each time we visit. Starting with poor service, employees standing around talking with little motivation to do their jobs and the restaurant always looking dirty with leftover dishes sitting on tables - no matter what time of day you’re there. We have tried to give this place “one last shot” several times over the years but this last visit was our last. Sorry Boulder Creek, we will not be back.
Reservations made for 5 for New Year's Eve. We arrived 10 minutes early for an 8 o"clock reservation and we were seated promptly at 8! Two of us had filet mignon served exactly right, the ribs, salmon and scallops were equally delicious. We shared a bottle of wine and the service was terrific throughout the meal.
Always a good choice for us. We have chosen Boulder Creek for many occasions including Mother's Day, birthdays and a simple date night but our tradition of coming to Boulder Creek following our Christmas Even church service has been with a large group or even just my husband and I. Across the gamut, it's been wonderful. Thank you!
Always enjoy Bolder Creek. Good setting, good service, and a good value and reasonable priced for the quality of food. Becoming one of our favorite places to eat because of the value. Service has always been good and we always come away fully satisfied with this dining location.
Very loud especially the kitchen. (Restaurant only about 40% full.) Employees were chatting standing and eating outside kitchen doors near our table. Food quality not NEARLY what it was in the past. Waitress was ok but not very friendly as if she hated being there. Everything was accurate on our order however.
We have been going to Boulder Creek for 10-15 years. We probably visit between 2-3 times a year. Never had a bad meal. The service is always great. The atmosphere cozy and not too loud. It is truly a neighborhood / community gem.
The menu does not change much ... that may be a good thing to some and to others, not very exciting.
The only thing I would say that could use improvement is the waiting area at the front. There just isn't enough room to stand or sit, especially when it gets really crowded.
We made reservations for 6 and were seated 30 minutes late at a funky shaped table that appeared to be a table for 5. Our server was great but we waited a long time for our food and when we were served the shrimp was over cooked and 2 of 3 steaks were over cooked and 1 was so bad it had to be sent back . We had eaten at Stonecreek in Plainfield several days earlier and the food was served cold. Cunningham Group appears to be having a problem. Growing too fast??
Very disappointed with Boulder Creek, and Charbonos (both Cunningham Restaurant Group), as of late and we're generally not picky people.
On this particular visit (six people) the Potato Soup had WAY too much salt in it, the pre-meal bread was not fresh, grilled chicken on a salad seemed like it was cooked much earlier and re-heated, and service was poor.
There were birthday presents on the table. Should have been a good hint that desert was desired but the waitress brought the check with no offer of desert.
Similar food experience on the last few visits to Charbonos. Something has been cooked very badly on at least one meal on each of the last 3-4 visits. Last time it was the pasta. Was just a huge clump and all stuck together. At least the Manager comped that dish. The time before that the baked potato was inedible. Was rock hard - hadn't been cooked enough. The time before that the Broccoli was badly under cooked.
We won't be going back, or recommending CRG, for quite some time....
Food was excellent. Service was terrible. We were forever waiting to place an order. No drink refills. Had to ask for bread twice. There were 5 of us. 1 bread was sat at end of table which mgr. brought. Ask for an after dinner drink. Not very nicely she said are you 21. Really, I am 73! I don’t like to be talked to so condescending. Our bill was 126. I left a tip but not as much as I would have if she had been the least bit interested in serving us. Hope we don’t have her for our party of 20 this week end!
Boulder creek never fails to deliver a great time and value. Service is always prompt, food is always well prepared. While the fillets are great, I cannot quit ordering the walleye. It is outstanding, sizable piece of fish that is topped with crab meat & sauce. It makes a great meal and is reasonably priced.
We were celebrating my husband's birthday and my brother-in-law's retirement. My husband's steak was chewy, but tasty. My b-in-law enjoyed the wall eye, and I liked my salmon. Because we visited on a Friday night, it was incredibly busy, which definitely had an effect on the quality of our service. We had to ask for our bread and coffee to be served. Overall, my family enjoys Boulder Creek for special occasion meals. The food is good, eating at the bar, which we have done in the past, is enjoyable, and the atmosphere is great. It's definitely worth a visit.
seated right away with reservation. Ordered drinks and my drink was brought right away. Wife ordered a martini and she waited and waited and waited for it. I finally asked manager and she said the bar tender was backed up because Wed are 1/2 price martini night. This must happen every Wed so why not bring a extra bartender in. She finally got her drink when our food was served.
Food was excellent and prices are well worth the quality of food served.
So very kind and notable of you to honor Veterans on Veterans Day. We enjoyed it emensely and as always, the food was delicious, the service great and the ambiance fantastic! For many years, Veterans and active military were ignored or not well thought of. My husband served during the Korean War and when he was discharged, his uniform was used to mow the yard or discarded. Sorry now—but we were sick of war! So happy our attitude has changed! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the delicious meal!
It was really nice in the bar, quieter and faster seating. It was Veterans Day and the full entree was really a nice offering as compared to some of the other offers that day. Really appreciative of the staff and service. We often go there on other occasions and had never been in the bar area for dining. Very nice.
