The fresh baked bread is a terrific start especially with the house special dipping oil. House salad and Caesar salads were fresh and tasty. The sea scallops were prepared to perfection and paired nicely with fresh asparagus and a tangy sauce. The streak filet was prepared just right with plenty of fresh broccoli. Portions are large so no room for dessert. Always a pleasant dining experience.
Excellent as always. We each enjoyed different meals. The salmon with asparagus and cous cous was excellent. Hubby had a bbq chicken pizza, friends had tilapia and pubelo chicken. Always fresh and excellent value. Can’t wait for outdoor dining area to open again.
I took my father and son for their birthday dinner. Everything was great with the one exception that they didn't have a main menu item available.
The whole experience was good but not great. I tried a little of everything. Shrimp cocktail, sirloin, beer battered shrimp and a few bites of my wife’s meatloaf.
Let me start by saying nothing was bad, but our expectations weren’t met. The shrimp cocktail was mediocre—save money and buy 50 shrimp at the grocery store—there wasn’t much of a difference. So for me, the cost didn’t meet the taste so no value there.
My sirloin was cooked perfectly medium rare. The beer batter shrimp was good but would’ve been better as an appetizer because of how few there were. My wife liked the meatloaf and I enjoyed the smoky/grilled taste from the few bites I had—there could be more flavor for sure. It tastes like pepper and onion were the only non-barbecue flavors added. It also tastes like they patty the meatloaf, grill it, then freeze it, and then bake it before serving.
I feel I’ve been more critical than the experience. The food tasted pretty good, the server was sweet, and the atmosphere wasn’t bad. I just didn’t feel there was enough value for the money. I wouldn’t recommend it to friends, but if invited by a friend, I wouldn’t object to going.
We love Stone Creek, and had great food with terrific service from Shelby!
Food was just okay, not as good as it has been in the past. Steak was over cooked. They No longer have the awesome "green" dressing...disappointed.
Food was excellent as usual. Service provided by Ashley and Melissa was outstanding. Enjoyed our evening.
Taylor is our favorite.
Great place to eat a bit slow on service, but the food was good and a nice setting.
Seated right away. Large selection of great tasting food
Good experience as usual.
Food was very good, wife had mahi-mahi special which she enjoyed, I ordered the walleye dinner which is outstanding ! They always allow me to switch out the rissoto for a baked potato which I appreciate. Service might have been some of the most "uneven" we have ever received. Not sure if server was new or overwhelmed on a Saturday night. Took 15 minutes to get first drink after we ordered, 25 minutes for bread & oil after he asked. We were pretty much ignored after placing our dinner order. Great service is usually the "norm" at Boulder Creek but not tonight.
We had visited Boulder Creek once before while passing through town and had a very good meal and wanted to come back. We found ourselves passing through again and decided to do dinner again as we had a good experience once before. We did not have the same feeling for the place, it seemed almost like a totally different restaurant or possibly new owners or chef. We were served bread which was crusty and warm but the red sauce put on a plate for us wasn't very good, not sure how to describe what it was, oil of some kind with something tomato mixed in. We also ordered calamari which would have been better if they didn't put siraccha mayo on top but on the side. The pizza ordered was ok, nothing great but ok. Service was lackluster and I almost felt like we were forgotten diners. Don't usually write negative reviews but was disappointed in quality of food as well as service.
I don't know who our waitress was (forgot!), but she was fabulous. We had our grandbaby with us, and she set up the hammock for the baby seat when my son and daughter in law got there, she paid tons of attention to the baby and to us, and took care of a food matter (spinach and mushrooms--yucky). Very good experience!
Celebrated Mother’s 89th birthday. Great meeting spot for our family to connect!
Cozy, warm atmosphere.
Wait staff very attentive, kind, respectful!
Service was great - Melissa was fabulous and friendly. Even kept our waters full after we had paid. Jalopeno cheese waffle fries were delicious and a very generous portion for the price. My rosemary salmon was just ok. The salmon was blackened which doesn't seem to go with rosemary cream sauce, of which there was very little. There were 2 tiny sprigs of asparagus which i don't think even counts as a vegetable serving. My husband's chicken parmesan had red sauce on the chicken but alfredo sauce on the pasta which seems weird too.
A positive experience overall but maybe they are trying hard to be too creative with the food. This after all is Indiana and we like traditional cuisine.
Awesome! Food is always excellent
Good food, reasonable price, good service. BUT, this particular restaurant has a few boothes that are small ( narrow, cramped, no room for feet, NOT for larger people). On Saturday 3/10, a friend made reservations for 2 for 6:00, we arrived shortly after 5:30 prepared to wait until 6:00 for a booth. My friend is 5’10, 235 pounds and I’m 5’11, 170 . The “hostesses” (plural, for some reason) put us at one of the narrow and UNCOMFORTABLE boothes. Why would they do that? . We ask to move. There was a birthday party going on in separate section of the restaurant .. 20 plus people (LOUD people) and a separate table packed full of their unsupervised, no boundaries, children!! They put us in there!!! We stayed because we feared where they put us next. Bottom line .. the “hostesses” need to think. I did say something to a management person but I wasnt convinced she understood the problem with the system. ‘Nuff said ..
I had the ribs and they were great. My wife had a margarita pizza and it was so soggy on the crust that she only ate two pieces and those were only along the edge. We did mention this to our server (who did a nice job) but our bill was not adjusted. My wife had ordered that pizza before and it wasn't soggy, but this time whoever was in the kitchen did not do a good job. The pizza looked good but the crust was mush.
The server did ask if my wife wanted to order something else but the meal for the rest of our party was done.
Shelby was great!!!
We were here to celebrate our anniversary with our adult children. Ample parking was a available. Our food and service were both very good. The menu has a lot from which to choose. The only down side was we were seated by the entrance and it was a little cold. We will definitely be back.
Only negative was the noise. Heard a lot of dishes clanging.
We had a nice dinner. Service was great, food options were very diverse and all food was served promptly, hot and as we ordered. Thank you
We have been going to Boulder Creek since it opened. My husband and I just talked the other day that we have never had a bad meal there! It’s the only upscale restaurant Brownsburg has so we love it!
The atmosphere was great and the staff was nice, but the service was terrible. We were there for over an hour and my water never got refilled once and it was empty within the first 10 minutes. The food took about 45 minutes and it was cold when it got to us. It wasn’t a good experience.
Very crowded, tables too close together, it was like walking through a maze to get to our table.
Tables too close together, could hear the conversation of those at neighboring tables, and everyone had to yell to be heard.
Wait staff very nice, but very slow.
Food - smh, just okay. Price was on the high side for the selection and quality of food.
We arrived @ our designated time & were seated promptly. However, only bar seating was available so it was rather noisy. The restaurant was VERY busy & full, but our waitress was attentive & our meal was served without too much of a wait.
Reserved a table for my wife and I for Valentines day. First time I've ever reserved a table for V day in 36 years. We were seated right away. Our waitress was amazing. We ordered from the early bird menu. My wife got the chicken and I got the steak. Her chicken was dry. I ordered my steak Medium. The steak was well done and actually burnt on the bottom. Besides that, it was the worst tasting steak I've ever eaten. Honestly, it was that bad. It was a great experience except for the food. I did not say anything to the waitress because I didn't want to draw attention to us or give the impression we wanted a free meal. By the way, we didn't order from the early bird menu because we're cheap, we ordered from it because we wanted the chicken and steak. I won't recommend your restaurant to anyone until we eat there again with a better experience. That being said, we'll give you one more shot.
Didn't get our bread, didn't get our extra ordered veggies, wife served wrong wine-Not corrected, ribs were tough, served lukewarm, and their old (very good) bbq sauce was changed to a not very pleasing one.
We are regular customers and I haven't had a bad meal. I just recently tried the Orange Miso Salmon and it is delicious. Their steaks are really good. They serve bread and oil with your dinner which we always look forward too.
All was well we enjoyed our dinner.
Service, Food, and overall experience was great. We had reservations and our table was ready and everything was great.
We love Boulder Creek! Went on a Friday night & were seated by the bar area & kitchen. Was too noisy for quiet conversations and asked to be moved. It was a meet the parents dinner for a newly engaged couple. The staff accommodated us and nicely moved us to an area much more suited. The food & wait staff were wonderful. We enjoyed the evening and definitely will return.
We always request Taylor as our server. She is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
Excellent food and great value. Steaks were well prepared and of good quality. AhiTuna and the spicy shrimp appetizers were delicious. The spicy shrimp were really spicy so tread lightly if spicy food isn’t your thing.
The menu was a little boring without a lot of variety. The booth was too snug to be comfortable.
Really the only down-side to our evening was that our table was near the entrance and it was a COLD evening. We had a wonderful birthday/retirement family gathering. Filet was perfect! Excellent evening at Boulder Creek!
To start the booth we sat in had springs pushing out the seat and was broken. We mentioned it to the server but was not offered a move somewhere else. Service was so slow and disorganized. We got our meals which were all steaks and then got the steak knives 5 minutes later. My dessert was partially frozen and stale. Overall not a pleasant dining experience.
