The staff was so very accommodating helping my daughter celebrate prom with her friends. Food was fabulous!
Great service! Food excellent! The mud pie was wonderful! Fun evening
My experience here was not good, clouded with ineffectual service and subpar food for the price being asked. I really wanted to like this place but it simply came across as unsatisfactory. Needless to say I won't be going back..
A great place for a birthday party. We love this place for the food and atmosphere. The noise level is low and great for conversations.
Great food and service as always. Thanks!
Good food, decent (not great) service. Came to Boulder to celebrate my 23rd wedding anniversary and told the staff this when I made my reservation for Saturday, April 7th through Open Table. I was disappointed that giving this information made absolutely no difference in seating or any other aspect of our dining experience. NO effort was made at all to make it a special occasion in any way. I felt like mentioning our anniversary was useless. The table across from us celebrated a birthday and at least got baked Alaska. More could have been done for us in recognition of that. Prime rib was great; potatoes were Ok. Service was ok. If I had to rate the restaurant as good or bad, I’d still have to say good, but it could have been a better experience for my wife and I. We probably won’t be back.
This was our first (but not last) visit to Boulder Cork. The food was excellent, the menu full of tempting options, and then the specials made me rethink my choice. Our server, Lionel, was attentive and knowledgeable. We had a great evening.
My husband took me here for my birthday. Complimentary dessert and a photo were given to us. Prime rib was outstanding! Prices are right for this upscale restaurant. Will definitely go again!
Jose is AWESOME!!!
as usual the Boulder Cork does not disappoint. Great food, fun times.
Watch for the bait and switch on the wine. We were served the wrong year and told it was what we ordered from the menu. It wasn't and it wasn't as good. Manager was not very accommodating and we had to ask waiter twice to talk to manager to discuss issue. We WERE regulars, are reconsidering now. As for the food, the steaks were very good, but the special Halibut was pricey and a little overcooked for two of us. This is a staple place for us to go to pretty regularly. This was a disappointing night - sorry to say.
Perfect ambiance for any occasion. The service is excellent and food is fantastic! Great for a couple's date or business lunch.
I don't usually fill out these ubiquitous and annoying questionnaires, but it was a good meal (with a cocktail that could have been better), and all I wanted to say was "EXCELLENT" when this form popped into my inbox. - I won't do it again. Tooooo many questions. If it was just a blank box where I could just say what I want, I would be happy to answer anyone's query. But this.... SO ANNOYING .. EVERYONE EVERYWHERE EVERYTHING YOU DO .. they want a very specific response!!!!! This is my last review ever to any enterprise that wants my opinion.
The Cork always delivers with GREAT food and service !
It was a friends birthday and we had an amazing lunch finished with the infamous sky high decadent mud pie to celebrate . The printed birthday photograph they gave us at the end of the meal was an extra nice touch !
The restaurant is always consistently good whether it be for daily dining or a special occasion .
Go to the Cork on a regular basis for everything from just dinner to family dinners and birthdays. The service is always top-notch and our server Dave our most recent time was excellent. I’m a personal fan of the pepper steak and the smoked mashed potatoes. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal!
Went here for Easter brunch and was very disappointed - there was hair in my ravioli, shells in 3 different orders of crab cakes, and the eggs were under cooked. This was our first visit and I doubt we'll go back.
Their steak is the best in Boulder! Great ambiance, great service, and great food.
The Cork never disappoints. Consistently excellent.
Always a treat!
Always a nice place to enjoy a good dinner. The Caesar Salad was not that great with huge pieces of lettuce and rather pricey for what you got. The Mac and Cheese side was rather runny and really not worth the hefty 7.9 price tag. The sides in general are rather pricey for what you get. The steaks were delicious and the mud pie, as usual, was enormous and rather fun to share.
You have an amazing chef. I love your Salmon Saki. Do not ever take it off the menu
We loved our steaks and seafood. Only warning is if you like a well done steak (someone at our table does) order something else. Sides were good. And desserts amazing.
I chose The Boulder Cork specifically for my partner as she is a wine connoisseur (I don’t drink). She did enjoy the wine and purchased a bottle to take home. The steak tasted great and the portions were just right leaving enough room for dessert. The meal was rather lengthy, with the three of us being there 2 and a half hours (our third person was a little late). Our server was attentive but the courses seemed to take a while, no need to blame him on that and he received a good tip. The meal was over $100 per person when the tip is included (two drinks plus the bottle of wine) so it’s very much a special occasion restaurant for us vs a place we’d regularly visit.
I'm a little biased because I used to cook there in the early 1980s, but everything was great. the menu has greatly expanded, although some items remained from 40 years ago. Our table of five had steaks, ribs, pasta, southwestern, and salads (along with some delicious bread). Everyone enjoyed their food. The beer and wine were excellent. One highlight was dessert, including "Cork's Famous Mud Pie," a dessert I remember making, and a light and tasty cheesecake with berries. Our server was informative and attentive, with just the right amount of interaction.
This incredible icon has been in Boulder for over 40 years and still has an exceptional menu, great decor and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend making the 5 minute drive away from Pearl street to check out this great steak house. It is amazing.
It's a testament to The Cork that it's been around as long as it has and is still packed on a Friday night! We were only able to find parking because the happy hour crowd was turning over to the the dinner crowd.
Between the 6 of us we had 4 steaks, all cooked as ordered. Our scallops and salmon were delicious too. The fries are steak house quality!
Our servers were attentive and polite, but the kitchen was super slow. Our only complaint was that our entrees arrived a little over an hour after we were seated.
Wonderful dining experience - food and ambience are 5 star
It’s tradition to bring my parents here for dinner whenever they’re in town. We always love the food, drinks, and atmosphere.
A Boulder institution. Excellent service and very good food. Wish they had a couple more healthy items on the menu.
Been a customer for years. NEVER less than great food and service.
Have had dinner here many times and it’s been a positive experience. Lunch, however, was only mediocre and I probably won’t try it again.
My wife and I celebrated our son Barry's birthday along with his spouse Susie. We have always enjoyed the Cork including back in the days of the menu on a cleaver and cappuccino made in the machine that is now on display.
The stuffed shrimp and crab cakes were outstanding. The wait people were very friendly and did and excellent job. We all enjoyed our main courses. I had the NY which was outstanding.
The Cork never lets us down. Amazing service and food. Kim our server has been our server over the years. Kim is always outstanding. Thanks for a wonderful meal, yet again.
Overall I was a bit disappointed. The food was good but not great. Steaks were great and cooked perfectly. Side dishes were, eh. It was a date night for my wife and I and I hoped to have a nice enjoyable dinner with good adult conversation but it was surprisingly noisy. I guess we can say we have been here now but I probably wouldn't go back.
Went for 5280 and was disappointed in the amount of food for the price; had an impersonal, seemly bored, uncaring waiter; noise level was too loud, ambiance in general was unimpressive (maybe it was our table location). Only 2nd time there and may not go back.
Excellent food, as always. Our favorite Special Occasion destination. Lionel was great!
We had a great evening at the Boulder Cork. The food was excellent, as was the wine selection. We had outstanding service. Our waiter introduced himself to us, (Jesse) as well as the manager. It was a lovely experience.
Great service. Steaks were on the small side. I’ve been there before and the steaks were bigger. Skip the $8 salads. If it were not for our waiter, we would have been disappointed. If you’re expecting a high end steak house, then choose something else.
Always great tasting food! Excellent prime rib and must get the mud pie bites!!
