Boulder Cork Ratings and Reviews
The Boulder Cork has been a mainstay dining experience for a long time. The food is always first class + the atmosphere can be quiet or lively depending on your seating.
The food is excellent, but the wait staff are the stars. Whenever we can we try to have Kym as our waiter. She is personable, knowledgeable about the food, and overall an outstanding server. All in all, The Cork is a great place to go for any occasion.
An excellent choice to celebrate a birthday dinner. Our waiter couldn't have been more helpful and the food was plentiful and delicious. Chose a wine to accompany our meal and the Sommelier came back with an even better choice more only a few dollars more and it was great.
The Cork has always been our special place to celebrate special occasions.
We enjoy getting in on happy hour in the bar - good drink specials and great food!
Best place in Boulder by far! It has been around for a long time and is still a fantastic restaurant.
I had dinner with two lovely friends at Cork on Friday and was very pleasantly surprised. We ordered an array of appetizers and entree and everyone was raving about their dishes and sharing bites back and forth. The wine was particularly well received. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Overall it was a wonderful dinner, and I will definitely be returning to Cork!
Our experience at Cork was good overall! I ordered the filet and it was very tender, moist, and flavorful. The rest of my family ordered a variety of sandwiches which they all thought were good, not exceptional, but very good nonetheless. Atmosphere is very nice, food took a little bit to come out, but nothing to complain about. Atmosphere was nice and noise level is what you can expect at any restaurant, service was nice as well, again as you would expect of any nice restaurant. Good food overall and would definitely come here again if I'm looking for somewhat more upscale dinin.
We've been to this restaurant multiple times. The food and service have always been exceptional, but this time the service was lacking.
One of our side dishes never came out even after we asked for it. Drinks were not refreshed in a timely manner and we barely saw the waiter. He was more than attentive to other tables.
Hopefully the service improve next time.
The food and cocktails were excellent, and the ambiance made a special occasion very comfortable. Our waitress was very friendly, but did make a few errors. Most bothersome was knowingly presenting a different wine vintage than that given on the wine list. This would not prevent a return visit, though.
We visited our daughter at school and wanted a nice meal for everyone. Well, it was more than nice...everyone enjoyed the ambiance and delicious food. Some got steak, some soup and salad and some got seafood. All guests raved about their meals!!! Thank you Cork!!!
We were in town on business, and chose Boulder Cork based on the reviews here on OpenTable. The service and the ambience were both exceptional. However, we ordered the Salmon dinner special and we're not impressed. The salmon was dry and in my opinion overcooked. If I am ever in those parts again, I think I would go for the steak!
The Cork is consistently good! A traditional menu with little excitement but consistently good food and service. If you want a good grass fed burger, you can't really go wrong here... Also, there is a pretty active happy hour if you are looking for a pre-dinner fun.
My Steak Oscar was delicious and incredibly tender. The service was appropriately attentive, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The food had such visual appeal, my husband changed his order upon seeing the prime rib served to the next table, and wasn't disappointed with his meal. The side of roasted vegetables was generous! The only negative is the level of noise from all the conversations in the room we were in, (the one next to the outdoor seating) - it was EXTREMELY LOUD. I really believe some noise abatement would enhance the ambiance.
- Steak & Peppercorn gravy was really yummy.
- Their red pepper cornbread (I dunno how else to describe it) is always really sweet and savory.
- Lighting was good.
- Chocolate salted caramel gelato was fantastic.
The not so good:
- Muscles appetizer tasted a little like burnt plastic =( I've had muscles before and I know they've got a unique flavor, but burnt plastic isn't it.
- It was too loud for good conversation. Boyfriend and I were sitting at the corner of a square table with faces about 16 inches from one another and still had a difficult time at points hearing one another clearly.
- The wine was not that great for $65, and I guess that's my bad... It wasn't BAD, it just didn't tend to my palate in the way I was hoping.
This was a special lunch to celebrate the birthdays of 2 of the 4 of us.
Two of us had the fresh trout. It was delicious, and was seasoned and cooked and presented perfectly.
It was delicious. Another diner had the Ahi, and loved every bite. Another had the fish tacos and said that it was the best she has had.
All in all, a lovely experience!
Thanks to Donna, the manager, and our delightful waitress, Gange. Although she is new to the restaurant, she was very knowledgeable about the menu, and served us with grace and confidence. The perfect balance of friendly and professional.
