Boulder Cork Ratings and Reviews
We had dinner here after a movie. Normally we think of the Cork for a full dinner, but the 4 of uswere just not that hungry, and our table had 2 burgers, which were very good. One of us had the prime rib sandwich (half) which was good, but the gluten free bun was not toasted, which detracted from the meal. Note to Cork, GF bread is really not good unless toasted quite a bit! Crab cakes were delicious!
The Thanksgiving menu this year was awesome! I had the polenta and my wife had the beaf. Our waiter was very attentive given how busy the restaurant was. Thank goodness we had a reservation or we would not have been able to get a table. I was very pleased with the experience this year.
This was our first time at the Cork after living here for over 20 years. Unfortunately, we picked Thanksgiving Day. They were really not prepared for the business even though my wife and I and everyone else stacked up waiting had a reservation. We waited for about 40 minutes for a table and the wait was chaotic with a lot of frustrated patrons. Eventually, we got seated and after that, the experience was better. The wait staff seemed surprisingly unflustered and our waiter was quite friendly. The food was good but I wouldn't say great. We may try it again on a non-holiday day.
The Cork Thanksgiving Day dinner is a tradition for us. The various menus items were just the ticket.
All our dishes were prepared just to order.
The server was very attentive and knowledgeable
This made for a great dinning experience for the holiday.
We always look forward to visiting the Cork for Thanksgiving
We were there for Thanksgiving dinner and it couldn't have been better. The plate of turkey and sides was huge and delicious. I took some home so I would have room for dessert. Pumpkin pie - yum. It's going to become a yearly tradition. Why go thru all of the work to make that dinner when I can relax and be treated as a guest.
very expensive - small portions - food hit or miss
Thanksgiving 2017 We invited several out of town guests to dine with us. Prime rib was good, scallop order came with only 3 scallops at $36. The turkey smelled good but was mashed all on one "pile" and the baked salmon was more like jerky for about $30. How hard it is to make a 2" x 6" piece of salmon. I cannot believe you get a 2" wide sliver of dried out fish for that much money. I am wondering why the chef would let that salmon out the kitchen door. Bummer. Three of us commented that we were still hungry (small portions). We will be checking out a different spot next time.
The Boulder Cork has been a mainstay dining experience for a long time. The food is always first class + the atmosphere can be quiet or lively depending on your seating.
The food is excellent, but the wait staff are the stars. Whenever we can we try to have Kym as our waiter. She is personable, knowledgeable about the food, and overall an outstanding server. All in all, The Cork is a great place to go for any occasion.
An excellent choice to celebrate a birthday dinner. Our waiter couldn't have been more helpful and the food was plentiful and delicious. Chose a wine to accompany our meal and the Sommelier came back with an even better choice more only a few dollars more and it was great.
The Cork has always been our special place to celebrate special occasions.
We enjoy getting in on happy hour in the bar - good drink specials and great food!
Best place in Boulder by far! It has been around for a long time and is still a fantastic restaurant.
I had dinner with two lovely friends at Cork on Friday and was very pleasantly surprised. We ordered an array of appetizers and entree and everyone was raving about their dishes and sharing bites back and forth. The wine was particularly well received. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Overall it was a wonderful dinner, and I will definitely be returning to Cork!
Our experience at Cork was good overall! I ordered the filet and it was very tender, moist, and flavorful. The rest of my family ordered a variety of sandwiches which they all thought were good, not exceptional, but very good nonetheless. Atmosphere is very nice, food took a little bit to come out, but nothing to complain about. Atmosphere was nice and noise level is what you can expect at any restaurant, service was nice as well, again as you would expect of any nice restaurant. Good food overall and would definitely come here again if I'm looking for somewhat more upscale dinin.
We've been to this restaurant multiple times. The food and service have always been exceptional, but this time the service was lacking.
One of our side dishes never came out even after we asked for it. Drinks were not refreshed in a timely manner and we barely saw the waiter. He was more than attentive to other tables.
Hopefully the service improve next time.
The food and cocktails were excellent, and the ambiance made a special occasion very comfortable. Our waitress was very friendly, but did make a few errors. Most bothersome was knowingly presenting a different wine vintage than that given on the wine list. This would not prevent a return visit, though.
We visited our daughter at school and wanted a nice meal for everyone. Well, it was more than nice...everyone enjoyed the ambiance and delicious food. Some got steak, some soup and salad and some got seafood. All guests raved about their meals!!! Thank you Cork!!!
