Delicious we were greeted at the front door by a lovely English chap who was so lovely and gracious . We had a cocktail at the bar. Every part of the meal was delicious on point serve the proper temp. It was incredible steak flavorful cooked to perfection. Truly a trip to flavor town in a couple experience.
I'd been fortunate to visit Bouchon once before and I was excited to bring my mom during our mother-daughter vacation this year. Everything was delicious. We both had fish--my mother the sea bass and I the daily special of sole--and they were amazing. The desserts, too, were great. The lemon tart had so much lemony goodness, but at the same time not too much, and the creme brûlée was, as always, a hit.
Great food, service and we will be back again soon!
Amazing dinner! Great suggestions from Brendan (?). The fois gras tart was over-the-top delicious!
Great experience and impeccable service. Food quality is exceptional.
Had the Frisse salad
Salad wes perfect except the lardon [ bacon ].... it was
2. wet and soft infused with the dressing
3. chewy and not edible
Suggest the bacon be crisper and go in last so as not to be drowned by the dressing
did not spoil a nice experience
Ridge split of Zinfandel great
In the European tradition , why don't you have a'"house" red and a " house "white on the menu ?
We had brunch at Bouchon. The steak and the truffle fries were really good. We halso had snails snails and the sauce was really tasty and a cheese and ham sandwich, all the food was great. Also the white wine the somelier recomended us was incredible. In summary I totally recommend this restaurant.
Mediocre food, poor service, won’t be back. We had higher expectations given the restaurant associations, but it seemed more like a tourist trap than a pleasant restaurant with even decent food.
It was our second time there. Not only was the food delicious and quite heartily portioned, but the service staff went out of there way to make sure we were comfortable, even as going so far as to putting an additional small table next to us. I have to recommend foremost the escargot and the roast chicken with waffles.
Always terrific, which is why we dine here at least once or twice a month.
Fantastic food and service. Great setting. Overall great experience for my wife and me.
Excellent date night. Great menu, presented by knowledgeable and friendly staff. Thank you!
Went there to celebrate my birthday. Food was ok. I have had better food at other restaurants in the Napa area.
The wonderful fine detail too every course was Amazing! Every dish was well balanced and seasoned perfectly! Thee was the right amount of acidity in every dish. The presentation and taste of the food was more amazing than what we had at Brasseries in Paris!! At the same time brought us back to the sights and smells of Paris! Magnifique!
Chef Keller is truly an amazing and gifted Chef! I look forward to dining at the French Laundry soon!
Amazing gourmet food!!!
My sister and I traveled from Canada for this and it was worth it. The ambience was perfect, we felt pampered and enjoyed every bite!
Excellent attention by manager. Fantastic cocktails. Great spot.
Mostly It was worst than expected in every aspects.
We had a wonderful meal at Bouchon Bistro. We had 4 courses, all of which were delicious and authentic. The wait staff was super attentive, including the hostesses and manager. We will certainly return on our next trip to Napa!
My husband and I were here with our little dog to have lunch this past Sunday. We sat outside in perfect weather in the outdoor seating area. Food was great...I thought the specials were fantastic (gnudi with truffles, croque Madame w truffle oil and truffles fries, lamb gnocchi with marinated turnips). We also had two salads (Lyonnaise and the endive water cress blue cheese) that were perfect size servings. We had the salmon fume with capers appetizer. Everything was great! Server was attentive enough but left us to eat, and he was the one who recommended the seasonal gnudi witty ricotta and truffles, which was soooo good! And a bottle of a good 2013 Pinot noir, Radio-Coteau from Sonoma coast recommended to us when they ran out of the special in the pitcher.
Thomas Keller’s “other” Yountville offering. French bistro style abounds here. Super food. Very extensive and expensive wine list. Brilliant Moules frites. A bit loud and happening in the bar of the same restaurant right in the main room, especially on a busy Saturday night. But great experience!
We went for lunch on Saturday and were very disappointed. It is not our first time in Bouchon and so far we were pleased. First we thought the prices were way too high and the quality of the food was not there! The pâté de campagne was too salted and texture average, les moules/frites were again too salted and bad quality of mussels. When you served this dish at almost $30.00 I was expecting better quality. Too bad, we used to love Bouchon, I have all Thomad Keller, cook books and I love his recipe but this time the service/ food was not au rendez vous! we won’t go back.
We always try to stop here and next door at the bakery every visit to Napa. Brought my 3 friends here for lunch and sat outside. Food is always top notch and service is great. Beautiful food as you would expect from Chef Thomas Keller. Love their tartares and salads. Oysters are always in season here as they come in from everywhere in the country. Only recommendation would be bigger tables as we can never fit all our plates on them!
Bouchon is everything you would expect out of a Thomas Keller restaurant. I had the endive salad and mussels . The mussels were so tender that they melted in your mouth and the broth was delicious.
Bouchon a great restaurant. With the vibe of a great Parisian bistro, Bouchon serves great meals -- be they weekend brunch, at lunch or dinner. From the freshest seafood to a duo of steak-frites, from wonderful daily specials through a deep wine list at all price points, great desserts and a superb and responsive waitstaff, Bouchon is not just a personal favorite but one of the five best restaurants of the Napa Valley and has been since it opened.
We went for the Paul Bocuse commemorative dinner at Bouchon. We ate at Bocuse's Michelin *** restaurant 25 year ago near Lyon. That meal was very memorable. This three course dinner was also very exceptional. It began with Bocuse's signature dish, a pastry covered truffle soup, created for the President of France by Chef Bocuse. The version at Bouchon was spot on.It was an incredible duplicate of the original. Next came a perfectly prepared filet topped with foie gras in a red wine truffle sauce, just superb. The dessert was an apple tart with vanilla ice cream. This was classic french food all around and was a great compliment to Chef Bocuse. Chef Keller of The French Laundry is a great admirer of Bocuse and his tribute dinner was perfect. We are very fortunate to have such a treasure as Bouchon in the Bay Area.
Bouchon was an extraoridinary experience. The venue was pristine - service was wonderful - food was amazing.
Everything you would hope for and expect from an upscale French bistro.
Had the pleasure of dining at Bouchon for brunch. My partner had a the chicken and waffles and loved it. She said it was the best cooked chicken she ever had. I had the steak frites....and it was slightly disappointing. Maybe my expectation was too high, but I expected their own special touch on what is a relatively simple "steak and fries" dish. Instead it was boring with an average cut of meat. There was nothing wrong with the meal, but if I compared it to my local bar who serves the same meal at half the price, I'd have my local bar every day of the week.
Service was great. Atmosphere was busy and loud but it is meant to be like it. I would definitely return, but I'd order something different.
Absolutely fabulous Paul Bocuse menu today. The truffle soup was to die for and the filet with fois gras and Madeira sauce was out of this world! The apple tart and vanilla ice cream was an over the top ending to the meal. I brought the veggies home to savor later! Thank you Thomas Keller for a wonderful experience! Staff was the best too...great experience always!
The food was delicious
Entertaining international guests. — Impossible to hear due to noise level inside.
Great job on the Moules & truffle frites!
Steak was not as good as I remember.
Disappointed in the wines by the glass. I felt they were poor representations of the various grapes.
Excellent in every way
Our evening was perfect. We were welcomed in as VIP's and quickly seated. The waiter was friendly, informed & attentive. The wine and food were sublime. We particularly enjoyed the decor. It was a throwback to France in the 40's.
Overall our experience could not be better!
Very nice evening out. The place is very popular though even on a week night. Loved the special VGE soup that was part of the Bocuse menu. Also be sure to get the endive Roquefort Apple salad. Truly outstanding. Duck confit is very good too. Service is really good and it is Beautiful location. Will be back.
It was great. The food was delicious and our waitress was the best.
My husband and I have dinner at Bouchon every time when we were visiting Napa. I’m writing this review after our third time here.
But l have a terrible experience at this time with my friends.
We ordered nine dishes :
Onion soup : too much salty
Escargot : fair
Deviled eggs : tasted good
Moules au Safran : tasted good
Foie Gras Sauté : tasted good
Steak Bouchon : fair, but it’s cost $59
Steak Frites : the steak was NOT FRESH, so they put a lot of garlic on the top. I’m so regret I didn’t take a picture of this
Poulet Rôti : the chicken was TASTELESS
Profiteroles : fair
We’re really disappointing. And so sorry for my friends.
Food was very good - had trout and Veal chop. The only negative comment is that the tables are too close together. It was hard to get seated in the back and to get out. A nice treat and exactly what we expected.
Love the ambiance. Old world Bistrot. Great fresh shellfish and love the Poulet Roti
Good food and service d. Over priced wine list.
