We had a very nice experience. It was not over the top as I had anticipated, but nonetheless was very good. The hostess was the ony negative - very snobby and tried to "squish" us in an overcrowded area, when there were over half a dozen empty tables right near by. Ocne we insisted, she sat us in a more comfortable area.

The service was very attentive and knowledgeable. We did a three course lunch each and the server helped us with wine pairing that turned out to be perfect matches. The pork belly salad was amazing with the warm bacon vinaigrette. The pork was cooked perfect, meaty but melted in your mouth and the egg confit completed the dish. The oysters were also very fresh and full of flavor served at the ruby temperature. Definitely a place to relax and enjoy a wonderful meal with a date, significant other orb to get together with friends and family.

Great bistro fare, casual and unpretentious, but service was attentive. Salmon was terrific. Didn't try it, but the roast chickens going by looked amazing, will try that next time.

This is a great restaurant. I have a hard time picking out real flaws in the service or food, really. We had an asparagus and pork belly salad that was probably one of the best salads I've ever had in my life. A mushroom soup with creme fraiche that was amazing. Delicious but relatively standard spinach. A beef tartare that was solid but makes me think I shouldn't order steak tartare at a fancy restaurant. And a chicken main that I thought was great, but didn't revolutionize chicken. The ambiance is lacking, though true to the French bistro style, and the neighborhood (including Bouchon Bakery) is amazing. All in all, an awesome restaurant.

Very courteous and knowledgeable staff. We were seated promptly and offered freshly baked bread from the Bouchon bakery (next door). The wine list is extensive enough to satisfy the most distinguishing wine snobs. The food arrived not so quickly as to make us feel rushed, but we certainly didn't feel like service was slow. Both entrees were well executed, made with fresh quality ingredients, and cooked perfectly. This was a great start to our day in Napa!

Great Service, waiting staff was courteous, attentive and professional. Food was tasty and plating appealing, however was not piping hot when they arrived at the table-plates were not hot enough to keep warm- that's a personal preference.

Good food in a very, very noisy room. Tables packed too closely together. Hostess very cold.
Owner is greedy for bums on seats. Would never recommend it and never go back.

Thomas Keller's take on the french Bistro doesn't disappoint. The price is a little high for standard items, obviously paying the fame tax, but on the whole the wines were well priced and all of the food was prepared well. Service was awkward at times but not enough to negatively impact our experience. Would definitely eat here again.

We had a late lunch outside at a great table in the shade. Food was wonderful and the house wine was outstanding. Our waiter was sleep walking and it made the meal a much less enjoyable experience than it should have been.

Double delight! We enjoyed the service, presentation and outstanding food inside Bouchon. We were wowed by the lobster bisque and giant, tender shrimp in their cocktail. If you prefer dining outside in their cute courtyard shared with their bakery, the sandwiches and sweets looked also delicious. Such nice options, side by side.

Sometimes very good restaurants have a bad day. As with Bouchon. On my latest visit the endive salad was poorly composed and the walnuts and roquefort were almost not there. The sole was overpowered by the sauce that came with it. But as with everything human, sometimes things don't come together.

Very enjoyable, and given the location, given competition and indeed sister restuarant - Bouchon is a great spot and reasonably priced.

Not the Bouchon of 5 years ago which we remembered with great relish. The menu lacked imagination with none of the Keller flair. The wine list was very limited with a very few choices (for a restaurant located in the heart of one of the worlds' best the wine growing regions) - of Californian wines that were in the moderately priced range ($40- $60). The Cotes de Rhone we selected was very forgettable and served chilled. Thomas needs to devote a little more time to this restaurant and get it up to his standard. It even made Graham Ramsey's 'joints' seem OK!

My husband had eaten at Bouchon for lunch a few months ago and wanted to take me there for dinner. He really enjoyed the Croque Monsieur and fries. We want back for his birthday on a busy Saturday night. I have to say that our dinner experience was nothing out of the ordinary. There is so much competition and so many outstanding restaurants in the area, you really need to "bring it" to impress the locals. My husband's chicken entree was definitely the highlight of our meal. Well-prepared, juicy, and flavorful. My gnocchi was the low point. I was the worst gnocchi entree I have ever eaten, and WAY overpriced for what was offered. Everything else was average, including the service. Did not live up to the hype.

Did not pass the bar set by Napa Valley restaurants. Food was fine but not outstanding. Service was ambivalent. Nothing special about Bouchon, and we wasted an evening here that could have been spent at a restaurant that was special.

We chose this restaurant on our vacation for a special birthday meal and it did not disappoint in most ways. One thing that was problematic was that the tables were extremely close together which made us feel crammed into the seat and we could hear every word said at the tables next to us. The food was good, perhaps nothing amazing but definitely memorably good.

First off I have an exceptional six year old. Second we dined at 330p. Third he has eaten in a number of starred restaurants in the South of France with his parents and Aunts over a four hour lunch. Bouchon, while not normally having lots of children there, was great about it. They have some of the best pomme frites this side of the Atlantic. I always love anything they do with salmon, and the butter lettuce salad is a perfect starter. So for my son and I a few starters spread over two or three courses, a nice white burgundy for Daddy, an epi and some dessert over ninety minutes to two hours is sheer bliss. For a father and son weekend, it is a great first stop. Bon appétit.

A wonderful dining experience from one of the masters of the food business. I'd give it 5 stars if only the two top tables were not packed together such that I'm closer to the strangers to my right and left than my dining partner across the table.

Excellent food. we both had salads, which were excellent (i normally wouldn't comment on salads, but these were exceptional). We also both ordered steak frites. The waitress wisely stated that one of us should order another side, because the dish comes with plenty of fries (she was right). We ordered a side of spinach. My steak was excellent and more than enough food. My girlfriend's steak was very fatty. We informed the waiter, but she did nothing to rectify the situation. We would have expected some sort of offer (free desert) or a small discount off of the bill, but she failed to do so. Otherwise, her service was excellent and she was pleasant nd not overbearing. The feel of the resto was very french, which was great.

The food was good, not outstanding. Service was good. Our waiter was very attentive. We both had the roasted sirloin. The serving vessel was something like a small roasting pan. Although unique, it was difficult to enjoy the dish served this way. Sides were too high to easily cut the steak and there was no place to rest our utensils.

We have been to Bouchon's several times, but will probably not eat there again; nor will we recommend to any of our friends traveling to Napa. The quality of food was not consistent. For example; French onion soup - very salty and not hot; mussels were "fishy smelling"; salads excellent; trout was good. We had to wait 30 minutes beyond our reservation on an off-season week nite, and sat outside on the patio in a cooler than average temperatue without "area heaters". Please note that our waiter, Austin, did an excellent job.
