Come for gourmet food in s pleasant ambience. Everything tastes delicious. The steak and fish dishes are prefect. The leg of lamb is a little bit chewy at the end and the blood sausage kind of fall apart after cut in pieces. Definitely get the escargot and mussels.

Special night, Valentines Day. Went very well. Food was terrific, service great given the crowd. Our waitress was great. After many Valentines Day screwups, this was a special treat. At bit expensive at $95pp.

Small intimate French bistro. Probably only about 25 tables. Very crowded so be prepared to wait even with a reservation. Thomas Keller excellence is abundant in the decor, menu and service. A great alternative to The very pricey French Laundry.

Amazing food, amazing setting, amazing staff. The Steak Bouchon was the best steak frites I've ever had. Can't wait to return.

Very Friendly environment and Service. Before or after touring the wine country, great place to dine or just have a nite cap.

I've eaten here a few times. It is always busy and loud. The food is done well but is the same standard fare one would find in any decent French restaurant but at a higher price (at Bouchon). I prefer to go on quieter weekdays at off times to avoid the crush and a less busy kitchen.

Too expensive for the food we got. The sturgeon was very salty. The steak was too chewy, not worthy of 59 dollars.

As we are always excited to visit Bouchon while in Yountville, the service was very inattentive and my mussels were cold. A bit disappointing, coming all the way from Baltimore.

Across the board, the food was poorly executed and uninspired. There were four of us dining, and we all had issues with our dishes (ex: under-seasoned medium well steaks served to the two people in our party that ordered medium rare, etc.). The bread and dessert were very good, but everything else left a lot to be desired and gave the impression that they were coasting at this point.

Bouchon never lets me down. The food is always spectacular and the service is consistently amazing. We enjoyed a special appetizer of King Crab Beignets but could not ignore the Gnodi with Black Truffles.

I love Bouchon however that Sunday night I ordered the steak frites medium rare. It came medium and the meat was not tender at all. The smell of the beef was strong too. I sent it back and at this point I had lost my appetite...the seared food gras appetizer was excellent.

We enjoyed our meal very much but the service did not live up to the reputation. We immediately were asked how our food “was tasting” but then were forgotten, with dirty plates sitting on our table for at least 15 minutes after we completed our meal

Bouchon is by far my most favorite place to eat. I’ve been to the restaurant many times and every time it’s consistently the best food around, service is attentive, and ambiance is very warm and inviting. I’d recommend Bouchon to anyone looking for a great meal especially if you enjoy classic style French bistro fare. Go early to get in on the specials before they sell out.

We sat at an outside table for lunch on a really lovely day. Service was very attentive. I had the saffron mussels and frites - very large portion which could be shared as an appetizer. The French fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside - perfectly done. My husband had the French onion soup. The soup itself was very rich and dark with lots of carmelized onions topped by gooey cheese. I couldn’t decide if I should dip my bread into the onion soup or the saffron broth from the mussels. Both were excellent. We followed it up with a scoop of cassis sorbet that came with two of Bouchon Bakeries shortbread cookies. Great afternoon in Yountville at Bouchon!

This is not the first visit to Bouchon and once again it did not disappoint. One dish was the best sturgeon preparation ever. And a surprising variation on pork, apple and red cabbage with a specially cured ham, and excellent red cabbage that was very moist and delicious.

Bouchon is the little sister of the famous French Laundry restaurant in Yountville, Ca. Unlike the French Laundry, Bouchon is a traditional French style bistro. Authentic Parisienne ambiance and cuisine make this semi-casual restaurant a wine country jewel. Then comes the awesome service and delicious food. The lettuce for your salad and other vegetables are harvested across the street from Thomas Keller's garden. Considering the quality of the food and service this place is a bargain. Be aware that a bottle of wine at Bouchon will cost you at least $100, but you can bring your own for a $35 corkage fee. With all the restaurant hype in the Wine Country this un-pretentious cafe is still one of the best!
