Everything we ordered from start to finish was very good. Mussels & escargot were so yummy! The Aviation well balanced although luxardo cherries would of made it even better. The ribeye was hands down the best I’ve ever had! My husband scallops were perfection! Yes I know, I’m going crazy with the exclamation marks, but it’s true. For dessert my husband ordered profiteroles and I the lemon tart. Both were amazing! We will definitely be coming back. I’ll be dreaming for weeks about that ribeye alone.

We were seated promptly and the general ambience was nice. Most of our food was good, but I was sadly very disappointed by the moules dish, I found the saffron in the broth too overpowering to enjoy; I had to send the dish back, which is something I rarely do... I just couldn’t eat it. Thankfully, the portion of Bouchon steak and fries was enough to feed us both. Our server was very nice about it but I can tell she didn’t really know how to handle the situation and was uncomfortable, though she did offer something else to try from the menu. I am also disappointed because I specifically put in a request to make it extra special for my boyfriend as it’s his birthday and it’s his first time in Napa. Unfortunately, no recognition, not even of his birthday, was done. I still tipped the server just over 15% of the full bill (she had taken the moules off but I added the dish back into the final calculation). All this being said, the sweetbread special, steak, and truffle fries we had were delicious, the salad with warm goat’s cheese was nothing special, and the moules were an utter disappointment. On our way out, I spotted the maitre’d texting or on his phone, not paying attention, so he didn’t even respond when we said thank you. I hate to say it but I finally have my first bad experience at a Thomas Keller restaurant (I’ve been to all of them except for the French Laundry), and will not be coming back to this location for a special occasion anytime soon.

We had the special pork dish which was not what we expected and would not order it again. Scallops were amazing. Mussels were killer! French onion soup was good along with the butter lettuce salad.
Desserts were all amazing. We had 4 different ones between the 4 of us.

The service was impeccable. We went for my husband's birthday and we had so much fun. All the staff was super friendly, fun and professional. It was a great time and I highly recommend going. Ian, the sommelier was excellent in humor as well as pairings.

The noise level is too much, the choice of music not good, the music was so loud people had to speak loudly and therefore the intensity of noise was over the top. French bistros do not use music and it makes for a lovelier experience. I can understand using music when the place is empty or not so crowded.

This continues to be one of my top 10 favorite restaurants in the country. The menu is so interesting, varied, and so well done. As always Thomas Keller ingredients, style and approach are inspired. The tables can be a bit tight, especially for a big guy like me but worked fine. The staff are total pros, knowledgeable about food and wine, not obtrusive but always there when you need them, so attentive and genuine. You can craft your own experience, light/heavy, wine centric or not, seafoods or meats or vegetarian... Such a wonderful experience every time

The food was tasty enough, but the tables were SUPER cramped to the point that you couldn’t move your chair without running into someone else at another table. So noisy. Wouldn’t do over. Service was just okay... not super attentive.

Not the best restaurant we have visited in the Napa area. We were seated next to the bar, high noise level. Our waiter seemed too busy for us, a wait for initial service other than water. No mention of the specials until we asked. The trout was good, not worth $29. It was served on an oval dish that moved each time I took a forkful of food! I had to hold the plate steady to eat.

Bouchon was everything we expected for an anniversary. The only interesting part was upon arrival we were told we could stand and the “oyster” (connected to the bar) and order drinks but the bar tender never acknowledged us. The manager finally came over to serve us. We also noted on opentable we where there for a special occasion which was never acknowledged. Other then that our server was phenomenal and his recommendations were on point with our expectations.

Previous visit was cery good. This time was disappointing. We had to ask for some bread. The lamb was room temp. The subsequent serving was warm but too chewy to swallow. The waiter took the lamb off the bill, so we only spent $200 for dinner. I am not sure why my half inch thick steak was $71.

We've been to Bouchon before and liked it. We went back and had a steak a lasagna that people supposedly raved about and a chocolate gateau for dessert. I must say all 3 were unremarkable. The truffle lasagna was a new low in expensive disappointments. But, service and ambiance was great!

We have been coming to Bouchon for years and had always eaten well. This time we had to complain about our dessert; Íle Flottante - which is a milk poached meringue floating on creme Anglaise and garnished with bitter caramel. What we were presented with was not tasty at all. Dry meringue, over sweetened Vanilla sauce and caramel missing.
Good service, the room extremely noisy, we had to shout at each other.

We have been to The French Laundry and most of the Napa valley restaurants ++. This was
Sub-par on every point. Food was not great, service was rushed and pushed, and vibe was just off and pretentious! We will Never go back, Nothing was note worthy, EVEN THE BREAD!!!’
Sad waste of our money and time -
DO NOT WASTE YOURS. It is a weird tourist trap. Shame, shame, shame...

We enjoy coming to the Napa Valley, and we dine here often most usually for lunch on our way out of town. We have never been on a Saturday morning before. The brunch menu looked absolutely delicious, but we opted for the always wonderful oysters and soups, French onion for my husband, mushroom for me. Everything, including the French fries, was wonderful save the noise level. Loud, throbbing, pumping, tuneless (to me at least) music was played throughout the meal. As my husband is a bit hard of hearing, we have asked the staff to turn down the music before, but hesitated to this time because the room was full, and we didn’t feel comfortable interfering in other’s pleasure. Because of the open floor plan, hard surfaces and tile floor, this is not a quiet restaurant at best. Perhaps classical music would be okay though we would prefer none. This time the music kept us from thoroughly enjoying our not inexpensive (we had 18 oysters) meal. We definitely would think twice about eating on a weekend again. My advice to Bouchon would be to tone it down. I understand from recently hearing a piece on NPR that more and more diners are objecting to elevated noise levels that make having a conversation difficult, and many reviewers are including noise levels in their reviews.

Noisy, average food quality.. likely only reason it has a star is because it's owned by The French Laundry

This is one of our go-to spots in Yontville because the Thomas Keller team always delivers! Only disappointment this trip is that California just banned foie gras and it’s still on the menu. So you get excited to order it then find out it’s not available. Keeping it in the family, I tried the duck confit and it was unbelievable!! That and a lyonnaise salad and I’m in heaven.
