From the moment we entered and were met by the hosts until our last espresso, everything was outstanding. However, we stopped in for a drink prior to our reservation and the female bartender was incredibly rude. When we approached the bar, instead of taking our drink order, she curtly informed us that the recently deserted seats were not available to us and that she had a wait list for bar seats. Her manner was so haughty and off putting we considered going elsewhere for dinner. That being said, we are glad we kept our reservation and had a truly lovely evening. The meal was phenomenal, our server Andy was knowledgeable, fun and attentive, and the drinks and wine were top notch. Glad we did Bouchon. The bartender’s gaffe was a blemish, but did not ruin our evening. Management might consider counseling her on basic etiquette.
It was good, but not great. Definitely a bit overrated.
I have been going there since years. The noise factor is becoming a turn down as you cannot have a conversation without having to shout across the table and then you don't even bother to talk. So, not cosy to talk. The bar area which has a few tables for 2 will be my choice for quieter sitting although the tables are very small there. Sitting outside is either too much sun or too windy and cool. The food is always fabulous, the usual selection on the menu is of reliable quality and the plat du jour are always a pleasant seasonal surprise. I had a foie gras fig tart which was out of this world. The oyster selection quality and presentation behind the bar is superbe. I wish they were still making the classic iles flottantes instead of the profiterolles and the B'day chocolate truffle individual cake which was divine. After all there are so many things on the menu which have not changed in 10 years why take these 2 desserts away?
It was an amazing adventure that is worth embarking on. The menu is true French bistro fashion, bread even served literally on the table. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, made the experience that much better (Thanks, Samantha!) great way to kick off our honeymoon!!
A relaxed environment with very talented wait staff who were very friendly. The food and atmosphere was high end French bistro. A good combination of local and foreign wines. The wait staff was knowledgeable on the wine list.
The food and service were exceptional. Could’t Get dinner reservations so enjoyed a lovely dinner between winery visits
Maybe our expectations were too high because of the Michelin rating, but we were completely underwhelmed by our dinner experience. The food was extremely salty. My fish entrée came lukewarm but perhaps that was intentional? Service was comparable to most other CA restaurants, much slower than we're used to in NY. Given the amazing number of options in the area, we would not return to Bouchon.
Always excellent. Great service, wonderful food, beautiful bistro
Great restaurant to visit when In Napa! We came here for an anniversary brunch and had a wonderful time.

Terrible food, so loud you can not hear people at your own table
Amazing experience everything was awesome , would highly recommend
Worthy of the 1 star:)
It wasn't as good as the Las Vegas location... disappointed, unfortunately.
We went for lunch and it was great. We'd be happy to come back. We got a pastry sampler and it was amazing. We asked for extras to take with us. The wait staff was great. The seating is a bit tight but it's not the end of the world.
I would rate Bouchon as 4.5 stars only because of the noise level and the way the tables were set up. The tables are so close together, you can eat off of your neighbor's plate. Other than that, the food and service were amazing. The truffle roasted chicken was the best and the burrata and tomato salad was delicious. I didn't love the flan dessert but the wine pairing suggested by the waiter was perfect. We will be back for sure.
Amazing staff and food. Highly recommend bouchon steak.
The steak was just ok, needed more salt, the chicken was too salty
We were shocked at the fairly unremarkable dishes and the overly salty seasoning. There was little sophistication to the food and overall was a letdown.
Our waitress and all the staff made our experience awesome. The food and drinks are amazing. Will love to return.
Absolutely wonderful, highly recommended. Food was amazing, try the French onion soup, it is the best we’ve ever had
I used to dream about the roasted chicken here. Now it gives me nightmares.
An experience you should have if you are in Napa. Outstanding food and service. Expensive but in keeping with other first class restaurants. Truffle gnocchi was exceptional as was pate. Trout cooked to perfection. We finished with a trip to their bakery next door. Words cannot describe our gourmet dessert.
The pate was delightful. The trout almondine was outstanding. The mussels were good. The service team and their knowledge of the wine list was excellent. Our only unfortunate experience was being seated at a table for two right at the main walkway between the bar and the outdoor patio. We were bumped numerous times and crowded as people passed by.
We went for our anniversary and had a great time. Service was excellent and food was really good.
We went there for a nice meal right after our wedding, and were extremely disappointed with the service we received (not to mention they totally botched my meal, and by the time they had replaced it, my wife had completely finished hers).
In the Opentable notes section upon making the reservation, we had asked for a nicer table due to the special occasion, and had also mentioned that we were just married. Neither were addressed what so ever...
To us, service goes a long way, and either makes or breaks a meal.
Our of town family
Bouchon was very good. The burrata and tomato salad was fantastic. The trout was also delicious. The veal and potatoes was a bit salty, but still good. The mussel dish was not our favorite and we have had much better elsewhere.
We were there for dinner.
* The menu is printed on the inside of the napkin wrapper, and has such poor contrast that pretty much everyone uses their cell phone flashlight to read it. Clearly a case of trying to be "cool" in some way despite it clearly comprising the basic function of a menu. Talk about starting off with a bad impression.
* Noise was pretty high and not helped by (in my view) music that was too loud.
* We had to ask three times for more bread, and each time it was "of course, right away", then nothing.
* We had to ask multiple times for more water. You would think they would notice, these guys drink a lot of water, but no.
* There were many specials and we ordered entirely from the specials. In fact the items on the menu did not look that appealing. The food we did get was very good, but the service was disappointing.
The Food was great, I've been here a couple of times and it's always great.
Everything was outstanding. Out server, Ina, was absolutely incredible!!!!
Bouchon is my happy place! I have dined here conservatively 25 or so times in my life and Bouchon never disappoints. Thomas and his team are absolute culinary geniuses. Thank you!
Wow, Keller never fails to impress. Classic French, perfectly executed. Salade Lyonnaise was ethereal. Gnudi with black truffles spectacular.
This was a very nice dinner experience. You should not miss it if you are in Napa Valley.
Liked the setup of the dining area. Helpful and courteous staff. Good service, good timing throughout.
Noise level a bit high, but not a setback. May be the reason why many think this is an Italian restaurant. No. It's French.
Croque Madame was inedible..steak was okay. Three stars overall purely because the service was great.
We were disappointed in the service particularly and the food didn't live up to our expectations. The first three meals were served together with a 10-minute gap before the the fourth person was served. Also, beverages were not served together, with no explanation that the ice tea was being brewed in the kitchen while the others came from the bar. We had to ask for items repeatedly while the staff was busy flipping the restaurant for the dinner service. As to the food, the special of the day, croque madame with truffle fries had a mere single slice of ham in the $32 sandwich. The gazpacho was overly vinegary, and the waiter never asked why it remained uneaten or how we were enjoying our meal. The mussels while quite tasty, however they contained many that hadn't opened and were inedible. The stand-out dish was the escargot with tiny pastry tops. All-in-all it was a disappointment. We really got the feeling that the management doesn't care, there are plenty of tourists to fill the restaurant. There are so many marvelous restaurants in the area, try a different one.
The food was just amazing, the service very good. Pricey, but worth it if you like that kind if food.
Lovely bistro atmosphere. Excellent service. Menu has lots of selections and our choices were delicious: steak, chicken and mussels.
We had high expectations for this restaurant given the restaurant group to which it belongs. Unfortunately, it disappointed on most levels. Probably what colored the whole experience for us was our server. His attitude was indifferent at best. When we had to wait 10 minutes for a glass of water after we were seated, we knew we were in for a challenging night. If the food was memorable, it may have made up for where the service was lacking, but that too fell short. Quite surprised for a Keller establishment. Will not come again and will not recommend to others.
