Excellent in all areas. Hostess, waiters above and beyond. Food was great and perfectly prepared.
Thank you B Sapp for the best dinner ever! You brought us dishes we never would have tried before! 🐌👀 Will be back soon!
Bouchon Bistro was a great place to have dinner. The atmosphere was lively and fun. The service was a bit slow but very friendly. We had the stellar bread and pistachios, excellent deviled eggs, a salad with goat cheese which was not warm as promised, but still good, the crispy skin cod special and the wonderful trout with haricot verts, butter, almonds and more butter. We also had the truffle frites and for dessert, the profiteroles with exquisite, warm chocolate sauce. Overall, a great and decadent meal!
Excellent meal and service
Great food with great taste
Fresh and well prepared
The restaurant service it’s excellent, but food wasn’t good, chicken dish was not properly cooked, and tasteless, I had high expectations for this restaurant , unfortunately didn’t work!
It was a decent meal, not a meal to remember.
Amazing food and experience.
Good food! Great service, very loud but fun. Fun first time going there.
Bouchon is a classic tune that stands the test of time. As someone who used to work at Bouchon nearly 20 years ago, I was glad to see that the menu had familiar classics as well as new creative items. The quality and attention to detail continues to be top-notch. Though we did eat on tail-end of the lunch rush, I felt the service was quite slow and that we were forgotten a couple times.
Always a fantastic experience! Chicken and waffles are top notch. Exceptional service! Can’t wait to come back on the next trip to Napa.
Only nit was not clearing our dishes for quite a while leaving no time to order dessert.
We appreciated a fabulous table in the corner on the patio for a relaxed Sunday breakfast/brunch. All the food is consistently fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the quiche and salad. Excellent cappuccino, bread and butter. Our server Yvette was fantastic. We also had fun talking with the guests at an adjacent table. Already looking forward to our next meal at Bouchon. Thank you.
The foies gras appetizer was very good and the manager was very polite.
But that was all.
My husband ordered a trout and it was drowned in butter. He couldn't eat it as it tasted like cinema popcorn.
My lamb also was too raw.
I won't be back.
Always a wonderful experience - exceptional food and service
Bouchon never disappoints! love everything that we've ordered there every time we've been there. we were celebrating a couple of birthdays, and when it came time to desserts, we didn't have any room so we passed on them...However our server brought some "to go" goodies for the birthday people which really made their day. Small gesture leaving a big impression! Thank you Bouchon!
Food was excellent, except the escargot appetizer- way over cooked, staff is excellent but took forever to get our food
French in a lovely way. Sophisticated food but not pretentious. Service was excellent. Cocktails well made. Had two servings of the caviar. East coast oysters yummy. Halibut beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. I love the decor and the spirit of the restaurant.
Very good food & service in a really neat spot.
We order one soup and vegetable side, foie gras and pig ears, not special, not worthy for Michelin one star, I don’t like it.
We went for our honeymoon and were left disappointed with the experience. Service was very good and ambience was lovely, but the food was nothing to write home about (in fact, my lamb had to be recooked because it was served cold). We were offered a “wedding cocktail” to celebrate but were charged for it at the end. There are many better places to dine in Napa; I wouldn’t waste your time here.
We have eaten at Bouchon many times and always enjoyed the experience. But this last time was very disappointing. The mixed green salad was extremely salty, boring and too oily. Could not eat it. The lamb special was tough and 2 of 5 small slices were mostly fat. Gnudi with truffles was appetizer-size and a bit overpriced. Stick to the Steak Frites, skip the truffles (which are from Australia anyway) and enjoy the desserts. Ignore the pretentious waiter.
Without a doubt, our favorite Napa Valley restaurant. We have driven the two hours each way just to dine at Bouchon.
We had a lovely outdoor table. The weather was perfect. And, on a Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 PM the restaurant was not at all crowded.
Service, food and ambiance were all perfect.
Amazing food. French classics cooked to perfection. Been here probably 10x or more and never been disappointed...always get the seared foie gras, the chicken entree is phenomenal and lighter than the steak (their signature)
I had great experience before at Bouchon but I was disappointed with the food and service this time. The ambiance is still great but not getting the value for the price.
Always an amazing food and service experience! Especially the desserts. Love this place!!!
Everything was amazing! Love this place. Appetizers, entrees, service and ambience on the patio were all top notch. It was too noisy for us inside though.
Enjoyable meal and excellent food cooked to a high standard. The prices are reasonable for the food. The seafood was all very fresh from the lobster and clams of the plateau to the mussels and shrimp. Sea bass was fresh and perfectly cooked. Steak is truly incredible (I tried my friend’s and I believe the consensus was that is was the best meal. Deviled eggs also received high praise. Pinot from France was the best wine of the day (and we tried several on our tour) Enjoy!
Would you expect anything less?
This was the best French cuisine meal we have had in the US.... bar none. The food was great, service, excellent, and the overall experience extraordinary. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Napa-Sonoma area!
The restaurant was so hot it was hard to enjoy the meal. Servers seemed to laugh that best off instead of trying to resolve it which leads me to believe the ac was insufficient for the outside temp (over 90F).
We loved the food @ Bouchon. We had a last minute trip to Napa, and were thrilled to procure a 5 pm reservation at Bouchon after touring wineries with our nephew and niece (to be) all day. We loved the ambiance and the food was delish. restaurant. The escargot was perfect, as well as was my pork belly, (which was a special for the evening) and my husband's loved his dish. We do eat all over the country and the world and do seek out the best Chef's restaurant's to dine in as well. We would have loved to dine at French Laundry, but time would not permit. We loved Yountville and Thomas Keller's Influence throughout the lovely town. We did LOVE the pastry we took home from Bouchon Bakery to Napa Valley Lodge where we stayed, and are looking forward to returning at some time in the near future. Thanks again, Cheryl
Bouchon is always a crowd pleaser and its mussels and truffle fries are must orders.
We had a great time at Bouchon! The food was delicious - pretty straightforward, but SO GOOD! Marvelous combinations of flavors, cooked absolutely perfectly. The service was outstanding, very personable and attentive (but not overly, I hate that) staff. Warm, cozy ambiance. The cocktails were also delicious. It was just a fun, satisfying and happy evening for our family.
In short, this is a good option for French cuisine, but I think they need to hire more servers.
My wife and I arrived at the same time as three other couples. It took quite a bit of time to seat all of us. One thing I noticed was that the hostess seemed stretched thin. It took almost five minutes before she was available to address the three couples and check for reservations. She was constantly running to different sections of the restaurant to assist waiters/busboys with their job, and she was the one who ultimately cleared our table for us. To be clear I think she was doing a great job, but she needs more servers so she can focus on greeting and seating guests as quickly as possible.
With regards to the meal, we ordered the foie gras (very good), the onion soup (good), the croque madame with truffle fries (very good), and the creme brûlée (good). The onion soup arrived late (the waiter noticed and quickly had it sent out) and had a bit of an off taste that we couldn't place. The creme brûlée was delicious on the inside, but the caramelized top was thick and slightly burnt, not delicate.
The pork belly special, was the best pork bellyI have ever had! What a great birthday dinner.
May 30, 2018 - First visit with our kids to Napa Valley. Took them to Bouchon for a special dinner. The food was amazing except for the mussels, they were slightly over cooked. Also our server seem to be occupied at times. We had to pour our own wine. We also had a nut allergy and nothing on the menu indicated that they cooked some food items in peanut oil or that some appetizers included nuts. It would be helpful if The server asked upfront if there are any food allergies. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed our meals.
