My wife and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary at Bouchon this year. We had been there before and regularly stop for macarons when we drive through Yountville.

Our experience was impeccable. Everything from the sweet card from Bouchon wishing us happy anniversary to the cheese plate at the end of our evening was simply perfect.

My wife enjoyed the sole, which was perfectly prepared and deboned at our table. My rib eye with pomme frites was out of this world. Normally I avoid a rib eye steak because it tends to be too fatty. This steak was lean, incredibly seasoned, and served with a wonderful bernaise sauce. I highly recommend upgrading the frites to the black truffle option.

We will return again and again as Thomas Keller and his Bouchon team have routinely created spectacular evenings for us every time we dine there.

I love the food at Bouchon, don't get me wrong. We have eaten here many, many times. But... this last visit the music made the dining experience almost unpalatable, and that's hard to do at a Thomas Keller restaurant. Somehow they played a robo station that featured hits from the past with a sampled pump-pump base. SOUNDS... pump pah pump... OF... pump-pah-pump SILENCE.... We asked if the music could be turned down, and it was perhaps... but only a smidge. The result was in no way an atmosphere reminiscent of a French bistro. We could have been in a Food Court. We certainly like good music, but the station Bouchon played was one where the original artist probably gets nothing, the beat overwhelmed the generic singers and the result rendered the otherwise excellent dining experience less than satisfactory. It is to be hoped that powers that be at Bouchon will take this criticism to heart so we may once again enjoy Bouchon to the fullest. Music should be in keeping with the ambience. Jazz, Edith Piaf, Django Reinhardt, classical... Really... we are open to almost anything but PUMP PAH PUMP.

Dinner was excellent. We split everything - pate, green & goat cheese salad, mussels & steak frites. Fabulous 500ml of house red wine too. Service was very attentive. Short walk from out hotel.

I had the lamb and it melted in my mouth and the sauce was sooooo good! Our waiter was Mr Personality +, funny and attentive! My husband's salmon was excellent and of course the desserts were good too! Highly recommend Bouchon!

What a truly wonderful spot! Every single member of staff I interacted with was professional and so very friendly - these people genuinely love what they do and have a real passion for food and wine. And the food....! Thomas Keller keeps it real here but it is French fare done impeccably. No pretension. I will remember this meal for a long time!

The meal, service was fabulous - really about all that needs to be said - highly enjoyable experience. That's the plus - only negative and it's because of the space and its acoustics, was a bit on the loud/noisy side, but everything else, excellent service - spot on!

I recently enjoyed a great dinner with my wife at Bouchon. We likely had a new server, who appeared very nervous at first but became more comfortable as the meal progressed, and did a great job. I had the roasted chicken, which is likely the best piece of chicken I've ever eaten. My wife had the trout which was very good as well. The oysters and other appetizers were very good as was the creme brulee. I can't wait to go back.

Food and service was outstanding and reasonably priced for Napa. The table next to us was extremely loud and obnoxious and both our waiter and the manager addressed our concerns immediately. Will definitely go back!

It was a friends’ gathering plus my daughter birthday. We had 4 kids and 4 adults. It wasn’t our first time but definitely first time for my friends. Our server wasn’t enthusiastic about serving us. Toward the end when a bus boy cleaning the table, he dropped a bowl of ketchup in my friend’s jean. Without any apologizing, he left the table. As my friend tried to wipe the ketchup off, our server brought over a bottle of baking soda mixed with water to my friend. Again, without any sincere apologizing or gesture. Overall it was a unpleasant dinner and a bad experience for my friends. For a Michelin star restaurant, we would expect a better service.

It was Easter. 5:15 reservation. Seated right away which was 1/2 before reservation time. The tables were a bit too close together. A bit uncomfortable. The person who seated us didn’t give me enough time to move my feet and it had hit my toes pretty hard. There was no apology. Our server was very nice. It was a very nice dinner.

While the food was good the noise in the room was so loud it literally distracted me from what I was eating. On top of that we were by the ordering computer, which was further distracting, even more so when drama between a waiter and an apprentice-waiter broke out.

All in all while the food was good (particularly the epi) it was not as excellent as I was expecting from a name like Thomas Keller. I think there is a lot of hype around this restaurant, but better choices in the area.

The food was quite good especially the escargot and the desserts. Service was attentive until the end. Manager did a nice job coming around to the tables. Were sat at a table by the bar and was bumped quite a few times by the staff and bar customers. Otherwise nice time.

Everything was wonderful! Our server was great! He was able to get a special pasta dish for my sister, who is a vegetarian, and it was fabulous! He boxed our unfinished food and slipped 2 of their excellent baguettes into the bag.

Our meal at Bouchon couldn’t have been better. The service was personable and attentive, the was food well prepared and beautifully presented and the surroundings were beautiful.
We celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary at Bouchon and cannot wait to return soon. Thank you to the staff of Bouchon for a special experience.

My fiance and I celebrated our engagement with dinner at Bouchon on the recommendation of several people. Our expectations were blown out of the water. Jules was a fantastic server; personable and knowledgeable but not intrusive. Sean (shawn?) The sommelier was also personable and his passion for wine and pairing showed tremendously with his list and in conversation. The food was truly delightful and everything flowed together perfectly to create a most memorable evening. We'll be dining here again on our next trip to Napa.
