We are delighted to have added additional outdoor seating but Santa Barbara nights are chilly so bring a sweater or light jacket!

Santa Barbara ‘Wine Country Cuisine’ means we source our ingredients using an ‘as-fresh-and-as-local-as-possible’ approach, with fish from the Santa Barbara Channel and produce from the surrounding countryside. Wonderful outdoor ambience. Seating is spread out across the various shopping areas. Very creative and nice. Great service and excellent food.

Bouchon was wonderful! The staff is taking all the necessary safety precautions in light of Covid-19 and yet still managed to make the restaurant feel welcoming. We ate in the open air section at the front of the restaurant (there were heaters, so we weren't ever cold). Last time we ate in the open air courtyard, which was lovely and kind of romantic. The menu had so many great choices (including the duck with succotash, which is a favorite of mine) that I was hard pressed to make just one entree selection...there were so many that looked amazing. I ended up choosing the duck -it was awesome - as always! Another guest at our table ordered the beef short ribs, and raved about it. Our meals paired really well with a bottle of Syrah from the Ojai Vineyard. We enjoyed the shortbread dessert topped with locally made lemon & marionberry ice cream. I cannot wait to go back again!

We had a wonderful evening! Our waiter was personable & the food was amazing! All of the seating is outside right now & we loved it! The ambiance was quaint & beautiful. We enjoyed the scallops, duck & steak plus the Brussels sprouts to share....they were amazing! We loved the desserts too! It was my daughters 16th birthday & the hostess remembered as she walked us to our table...Made her feel very special. Thank you for a great night!

We came here for my friend’s birthday. The food was delicious. It did take a while for it to come out, but we didn’t mind. Our waiter was super out going and was on top of things. Will definitely come again

Excellent dinner. We sat in the beautiful back area with nice lighting. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable. As for the food, it was a bit under salted but great for the most part great. I would come back if I'm in the area.

Well it certainly was worth the wait. Celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary with a 2016 bottle of our coveted Patrimony and paired it with 2 orders of the shortrib dinner. Wow! Our watier David was fabulous. We really enjoyed our special night. Enjoyed it so much we made another reservation before we leave town.

Overall fantastic experience. The meal far exceeded our expectations. The service was outstanding. I highly recommend anyone visiting Santa Barbara to visit this location. Make a reservation prior to arrival. Good for couples, small groups and family gatherings.

Owners were amazing and greeted us upon arrival. We came for our anniversary/babymoon and they added a sweet touch of rose petals on the table and a card to congratulate us. Ambience was quiet and romantic. However, this is kind of where the magic ended. Food was nicely plated but lacked flavor (lobster risotto/duck). After a winded talk of ‘pre-Covid service’ or limited interaction, we picked Pre Covid service to which we received limited interaction. Hardly checked on or asked for a refill of water. To most this wouldn’t be a big deal, however it’s a beer and wine only and I asked our waiter if there was any option with flavor that did not include alcohol to which I got told ‘no’. So hoped my water would at least be kept filled and not empty for the last 1/2 of our meal. I’ve heard amazing things about this restaurant and sadly was under impressed. Hoping it was just an off night for the chef and waiter.

We celebrated our anniversary and were treated with such special service. We received help with our wine selection to purchase the best choice for us. Our server, Dominic had a helpful yet fun personality. Our food was amazing, so flavorful and good portions. We had outdoor dining due to COVID but this made it no less special. I would highly recommend for a special night out or for those that are culinary foodies.

We really enjoyed our meal at Bouchon. The menu had a wide array of options and each plate we ordered was delicious. Dominic, our waiter, was really friendly and provided great recommendations. If we are in Santa Barbara we would be sure to visit again.

Food was ok. The duck was tough and ahi tuna was just ok. It's decent food, but don't expect cutting edge culinary experience. Service was good. French onion soup and desserts were excellent.

Great atmosphere in cute courtyard. Food was just ok. I ordered a salad that was not fresh, and very limpy. Crab cakes were good. Beef had good flavor but was Not as tender as it could have been.

I loved this place. Hostess was personable, nice conversation, welcoming and somehow assumed the charm of the restaurant. Food was delicious, wine was great. We asked the server to pair wine as the online menus are a bit annoying (jmo). Thanks Covid but if not for Covid we would not have the lovely experience of dining outside in the beautiful weather. We will come back here for sure.

I've eaten now both at Bouchon in Napa as well as in Santa Barbara. Service and ambiance at both were amazing. Unfortunately, the food in Santa Barbara was just not good. We were a table of 8 at which two people ordered the bass. Mind you these two people were also sitting next to each other. One plate came out as you would expect, though flavor wise not a huge hit. The second plate you could smell as it was being brought as it was rancid. Smelled super fishy and the two pieces of fish on the plate looked like they came out of a frozen dinner. They were kind enough to replace the dish, but it threw off the whole meal. The lobster risotto was a hit as our table went through four orders. I ordered the duck and while the confit portion was excellent, the breast was cooked closer to rare than proper. Overall for a $400 dinner tab (no liquor) I expected significantly more. Again service was excellent, food was not.
