Warm, inviting ambiance, service at a relaxed, leisurely pace. Santa Barbara ‘Wine Country Cuisine’ means we source our ingredients using an ‘as-fresh-and-as-local-as-possible’ approach, with fish from the Santa Barbara Channel and produce from the surrounding countryside. We then take into account how these flavors can be presented in concert with our local wines. We believe you’ll taste the difference. Bon Appètit!

It was a lovely evening celebrating with my husband. The butter lobster risotto was delicious and the beef waygu was tender. Our bottle of wine recommended by the server was a nice touch as well. Thank you
We had an absolutely fabulous experience at Bouchon, Santa Barbara. All servers were very attentive and provided that great balance between giving us our space and seeing our needs. Bravo. The food was exquisite. We've dined in many high-end restaurants all over the world and Bouchon's preparation and preparation was very, very good. We also think they've done a great job adjusting to the challenging covid times and tried to provide as much comfort as possible on a cold November night. Perhaps a couple more heaters would be useful though. We highly recommended this restaurant when you are in Santa Barbara.

Wow! We are new to SB and have heard about Bouchon from friends and neighbors. This is the best dining experience we have had since living and visiting this magical place. The food is outstanding, but that is merely a factor in this whole dining experience. The Staff was interactive, helpful and knowledgeable. Their instincts and attention is unparalleled here in this foodie town. We felt special! We felt excited and humbled by this experience. We can not wait to go back!
We celebrated my birthday at Bouchon. Their outdoor area was warm, stylish and romantic...they definitely did a wonderful job navigating Covid restrictions. The food was excellent. The mushroom ragout was amazing, as well as the sea bass, short rib and the lemon cake dessert. Our waiter, Louie, was very courteous and attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend Bouchon for a special occasion or any time you want a gourmet meal.

Of course, we needed to sit outside (Covid). Service was knowledgable, pro-active, and courteous. The service staff knows the wine list well, of great help to us. It was a tad cold outside, but that's due to weather, and out of anyone's control. The food was very good; we had the kubocha squash, Tom's mixed greens, and mushroom ragout for appies, short rib, the duck (2 ways), and sea bass for mains. All exceptional. We had 2 bottles of wine, including a Cab Franc, which we normally love; this one was a regional bottle, and was good but different for a Cab Franc. As it was a birthday celebration for our group, we had a great time there.
Wonderful table on a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Duck was fantastic. Server was very attentive and made great wine suggestions.

Amazing experience even during COVID. We were there for an anniversary and let the staff know via OpenTable. They were very friendly and accomodating. We were seated in a very comfortable outside area near a heater, which really helped as we stayed long and enjoyed the later evening hours. Our reservation was at almost 8pm and given that we much have been one of the last to be seated, we were not rushed and enjoyed our time well, as we were encouraged to by our waiter. Food was outstanding, wine was great.... Overall, very very nice evening.

We had the best experience. Our food was amazing and the waitstaff was exceedingly attentive. Buchon may have one of the best waitstaff’s I’ve ever seen.
Weeding Anniversary
The setting outdoors was very comfortable and well separated from other tables, the restaurant has created lovely ambience. Warm, fresh bread was a great start. We ordered mixed green salad and the main dishes of duck and tuna. Presentation was artistic and food was delicious. Molten lava chocolate cake for dessert was fine. Service was outstanding. This is our favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara now!

SO delicious! And our server, Morgan, was delightful. It was a cool night and we sort of regretted making the reservation, but later we were SO GLAD we went! The patio in back is so very lovely with a great view of the lovely moon. The food was even better than we remembered from previous visits - the mushroom ragout appetizer was so good I almost couldn't believe it! And our fish dishes - the trio of scallops - was amazing. I had the tuna and it was cooked perfectly and also just melted in your mouth. We felt totally safe - and vowed to go back more often. What a treat to keep us going during the COVID crisis. Be careful, but DO go to these wonderful local places to keep them going! You won't be sorry! Oh - and our wine was very good, too - as always! Bouchon is the BEST!

Food: Ordered the Mushroom Ragout, Duck Duo, and Sea Bass. Everything was amazing! Duck and bass were tender and full of flavor. All components of the dish came together well and was well-balanced.
Service: Dylan, our server, was amazing. He was very polite and courteous; he offered a more limited service so we enjoyed our dinner and would only check on us a handful of times.
Ambience: Nice outdoor seating. Plenty of warmers to combat the cold air of Santa Barbara.
Overall: Would definitely recommend for a nice dinner.
Anniversary
I took my husband to bouchon for a special (COVID) birthday celebration and it did not disappoint! The weather was perfect, the outdoor patio was lovely, the service was top notch and the food was incredible! They also decorated the table with rose petals which was a nice touch. We will definitely be back!!
Very romantic and quiet evening. Our server, Dominic, was amazing. He was very welcoming and had a lot of knowledge in beer and also the menu. We cannot wait to come back again!

Service was great! Food was good but not spectacular. The French onion soup was the worst I have ever had, which was quite disappointing since I was really looking forward to it. The braised short rib was good but Toma’s is better. The Wagyu Rib eye was good but a little tough. Not what you would expect for Wagyu. We were celebrating an anniversary and although they had some rose petals and a card, a small dessert would have been a nicer touch.
Service was exceptional. Each table outside had its own heater which made it very comfortable.

We love Bouchon - always have. This particular visit was especially nice as we were getting to know some people better. Our server was attentive, but not cloying. He had very good information, took good care of us. Other staff were also very attentive and responsive. The food was GREAT! We were all full and happy!
